This is the first in a four part series of books called "Chronicles Of The Pridelands".  This is my favorite story, fan fiction or otherwise.  It covers over three generations from Simba's Grandfather to his son.  The first time I read this it was like seeing "The Lion King" for the first time again.  It has a great plot and is full of well developed characters that pull you emotionally into the story, make sure you have plenty of tissues.   I can't thank John & David enough for giving us this wonderful story.

The second in the four part series of "Chronicles Of The Pridelands". Another excellent story, in some ways I like this one even more than the first. This one is more of a sequel to "The Legacy of Ahadi" than "The Lion King" and takes a different view point, that of Rafiki's.  Be sure to read "The Legacy of Ahadi" first or "The Spirit Quest" will not make much sense.

The third in the four part series of "Chronicles Of The Pridelands". A very different type of story from the others, it deals with the dark side of "The Lion King". While I like the first two more, this is another excellent story and is a good contrast to the rest of the series, a must read for those who like Scar or the Hyenas.  Be sure to read these stories in order or they will not make as much sense.

The fourth in the four part series of "Chronicles Of The Pridelands". The last book of the series is also one of the best, if not a little short for my liking, I really wish it had been longer. This story is composed of a lot of material that was going to be in the first three stories but was left out. As before, be sure to read these stories in order or they will not make as much sense.

A companion story to "Chronicles Of The Pridelands". This is a very nice collection of stories, told by the characters, that give us insight to the spiritual and mythological side of "Chronicles Of The Pridelands". As before, I strongly recommend reading all of the four stories in "Chronicles Of The Pridelands" first, however this story could be enjoyed if you have not.

A companion story to "Chronicles Of The Pridelands". A nice story that explores a mystery that was hinted at in the original series but never covered. I'm not sure why but I did not like this one as much as the previous stories. Still it is a very good story, I have just been spoiled by John & Dave's excellence and would have liked to have had a better story. As before, I strongly recommend reading all of the four stories in "Chronicles Of The Pridelands" first or this one will not make as much sense.

A companion story to "Chronicles Of The Pridelands".  What can I say, this is my favorite of the companion stories, and came close to beating some of the originals.  It is about Elanna's exile after Simba's return and for the most part covers entirely new ground.  This story has a slightly different feel from the rest of the stories in the group and is very nice.  As before, I strongly recommend reading all of the four stories in "Chronicles Of The Pridelands" first or this one will not make as much sense.
