Random Roar #4: The Easter Rant

2000 years ago, the holiday of Easter didn't exist, mainly because no one had thought of commercialization yet.  These days, you walk down to the store to buy the latest Fantasy & Science Fiction magazine, and unless you're totally zoned out like I am, you'll see rabbit plushies, candy, and Easter greetings in the store windows.

Do we forget so easily that Easter's about Jesus dying for us on the cross?  Sometimes, when I think about how no one remembers the cross, it makes me cross.

There's a part of me that likes the Easter Egg Hunts, and the Easter Bunny, and everything fun and commercial about Easter.

There's a part of me who is thankful for the real reason for the holiday (I will not stoop to using the annoying "reason for the season" rhyme).  If not for Jesus Christ, there would be no way to heaven.

There's a part of me who wants to sing along to the music I'm listening to because I like to, and I can't help it.  I've been singing along to this stuff for years, why should I stop now?

There's a part of me who wants to be a tiger, roaming in the jungle.  This part has to be content with lots of facial hair and pictures of the jungle.

There's a part of me who wants to be a wolf.  That part of me is smaller than the part that wants to be a tiger, but still lusts after Aleu.  She's a wolf-dog after my own heart!

There's a part of me who wants to be a female cougar (with wings!), but I definitely won't get into that . . .

There's a part of me who craves chicken, specifically Chubby Chicken, from A&W.  Hopefully soon I can satiate that craving.

There's a part of me who just wants to go to sleep, because he's very tired.

There's a serious part of me who is already asleep, which explains why I'm able to get away with this.

There are too many other parts of me who vie for attention, but I can never seem to fit every one of them in, individually.  So, I'll include them all at the same time.

From all of me, to all of you, Happy Easter!
