All I can say is that I didn't vote for them.
The Government of British Columbia, headed by notorious terrorist Gordon Campbell, chose April Fools Day to enact new taxes in my province. Okay, so the increase to sales tax wasn't enough (in fact, it doesn't make sense. How do you raise tax by a half percent? I suspect Campbell never went to school). Now he has to raise taxes in more absurd ways. The government has raised gas taxes and transit fares, but in only one region of the province. How does he keep track of it all?
It all started as it always does. Elections, promises, debates, everything. It was out with the old, in with the new. Kind of reminds you of New Years Eve. People get drunk, make fools of themselves, wake up the next morning, and suddenly realize they've made fools of themselves.
Well, the election happened that way. People got careless, made fools of themselves, and then at the end of the day, they suddenly realized that they've elected the Liberal Party.
After a few short months, and many cuts to services such as health and schooling, it's clear that those few who voted for Someone Else (and I point to myself) were right in voting for Someone Else. Now we have to live with this government for another few years, until we can try again, and elect Someone Else.
Speaking of taxes, an Airport Security Tax is also being charged, starting today. I think after September 11, everyone's been getting paranoid. Security's been beefed up, yes. But the terrorists have done their job already. They're not trying anything else.
Besides, if they wanted to go after our BC Government, no one would stop them!
