However, I DON'T do windows. >:) Funny... I've been told windows are about all I'm qualified for. Hmm... the holy window cleaner? Keeper of the sacred squeegee? I can see the headlines after the FCOS gets someone willing to clean the windows. ----- ***Let there be light*** The five month long seclusion of 15 parishioners of the local First Church Of Simba has finally ended. The devoted church-goers locked themselves in the assembly hall on the morning they woke up to find the sun had not risen. "It was your average reception." comments one, who asked to remain anonymous. "We'd just cannonized another Dave, and we were up for some celebrating, and since the Bingo room was closed to repair some minor water damage after a little misunderstanding in the cryogenics room, we decided to hold a dinner party in the assembly room. I remember the blessing of the wine and the pizza, but the rest of the night is a bit of a blur." Another butted in. "We woke up the next morning... or in my case, a few mornings afterwards... and it was still dark outside. A lot of us were scared, but some of the braver ones told us that it was probably all a test of faith, and so we locked ourselves down there, and devoted all our time to praying that the night would end, and the sun would rise." It wasn't until a new member of the custodial staff was hired, and decided the windows could use a good scrub. Three hours later, the tireless parishioners burst out the front door to bask in natural light for the first time in months. "It's a good thing too." recalls the first. "I think we were on our last bulb. I like to think that all this has made me a stronger person. I'm more diciplined, and I've made friendships that will last a lifetime." He pauses and chuckles. "Of course after five months of rationing a couple of extra large Dominoes pizzas, you'd be surprised what you can eat." The FCOS staff would like to add a footnote that they have an opening for a new the custodian. ----- JTC
