hmmm.... but in Lion King original, when Sarabi was going to give Simba a bath, and he tried to run away, Sarabi reached down and grabbed Simba by the head. maybe they all have their own ways of carrying their young? hey... thats an idea... forgive the spelling errors and capitalization... this was spur of the moment. and another warning... Rindimo is in it... Zira's Parenting Lessons by Tracie Cheetah "Bye." said Kovu as Zira picked him up. "Bye" answered Kiara as Simba picked her up. Simba took one last look at Zira. He put down Kiara, and called out "Hey Zira! you're carrying your cub all wrong!" "How's that?" said Zira curiously. "Watch." said Simba. He then picked up Kiara by the scruff of the neck. Zira now had a puzzled look. "You mean i've been doing it wrong all this time?" "Yes. haven't you ever heard of Dr. Rindimo's Parenting Lessons?" "Why no! where do you get them?" "I get them through the Meer=Katalog of Better Health" "Where can I get this Meer=Katalog?" Simba whipped out a piece of paper, and wrote down an address. He handed it to Zira. "Dr. Rindimo, 123 Savanah Lane, Pridelands, AF, 12345..." she mumbled. "This doctor will tell you everything you need to know about carrying your cub, being an overprotective parent, and lots of various stuff!" exclaimed Simba. "Wow..." said Zira. "i'll pay yu back one of these days." she said. "Any time!" said Simba as he carted Kiara off. "Ok... lemme see..." rambled Zira. "Ah! I have it!" she bent down and picked Kovu up... the right way, and headed off the the address on the piece of paper. ____ "This must be the place!" said Zira happily as she approached a large brown building with shiny windows and a large neon sign at the top of the structure. She cautiously entered the door, and walked to a desk that said "Management" written in big cursive letters on the front. "I'm here to see Dr. Rindimo, is he in now?" "The secretary pretended to look at a calender under the desk, and said: "Yes, i believe we can fit you in." "Thats great!" said Zira. "Down the hall, last door on the right." droned the nurse. "Heh... okay then. Come along, Kovu." she said, and they trotted down the hallway. when they got to the end, they peeked in the room. They saw a large, rather good looking cheetah sitting in a chair with his hind legs propped up on the desk, and he was throwing paper airplanes at a trash can. "Oh!" exclaimed Rindimo, jumping up and straightening his white overcoat. "I didn't notice you... Come in, and have a seat." Zira stepped in, and sat on an armless cushy chair, and sat Kovu on her lap. "Who sent you to my humble office?" "King Simba did." "Ah... I know him. fine guy. a great king. and he's got a good looking wife too, that Nala. Now what can i do for you?" Zira cleared her throat and began. "Well, Simba banished me from the pridelands when i was still pregnant with Kovu, and i never got a chance to learn how to properly raise a cub." "Oh..." Rindimo mused. "And you would like Parnting Lessons?" "Yes." said Zira eagerly. "Well, first things first, do you know how to properly carry a cub?" "I think so." she picked Kovu up, and walked around with him a bit. "Good, good..." said Rindimo. "And do you know how to sing him to sleep?" "I think so." she sang a lullaby. "Sleep my little Kovu, let your dreams take wing, one day when you're big and strong, you will be a king." "Okay." said Rindimo. "Thats enough." Zira gave him a satisfied smile. "And lastly, do you know how to be an overprotective parent?" "Why no, i've just let my cubs run around all this time, not knowing what dangers they could get in, like lion cub eating crocodiles, or iritable kings." "Oh... Thats not good." said Rindimo scoldingly. "You have to keep him on a short leash at all times, as short as possible. If he wants to go gallibating with the king's daughter, tell him in a firm and strict voice 'No Kovu, you cannot go.'" "Oh..." pondered Zira. "No, you cannot go gallibatig with the king's daughter anymore." she said to Kovu, who shrank back and whined. "Very good!" praised Rindimo. now, all you need is my complete set of overpriced tapes, only 39.95 each copy!" "I'll take them! I'll take them all!" said Zira excitedly. "Oh thank you Rindimo! How can i ever thank you?" "How about a date on Saturday?" "Forget it." "Oh, okay then, i'll just take 10 alba blossoms then." Zira reached in her purse, pulled out the flowers, turned and left." "Another satisfied customer..." said Rindimo, and he laid back in his chair, propped up his feet, and dozed off. well, hope you all like it. = D Tracie, the cheetah who is watching out for flame throwers == Tracie Cheetah annoying list goer (if I'M not, who will be? = D ) ICQ# 6489313 (i didn't put my # here for nothing...)
