Fire
Out of the dark, what once was night
Comes a flicker, hot and bright
What is this ghost that haunts the land?
It is the fire that kills and commands
Burning trees and grass and fur
Running from death as you howl in terror
The land sets ablaze with this unholy light
Sweeping away the ones who try to fight
From atop our sacred rock we feel the rain
As it slowly eases the land of its pain
The heat and light gradually decrease
And the ones who tried to fight are now at peace
The pain and suffering the land endured
Will be the strength of the land, that assured
With every day after the deadly light’s ire
The land grows back better than before the fire
So if this is true when something is devastated
When something is totally destroyed and annihilated
Then it grows back more beautiful than before
I ask you, is this what is for our souls in store?
