Hello my furry companions! Well, I have written my first story. I'd like for you all to read it! It's pretty long though! But anyway, please oh please, let me know what you think of it.. hehe.... here you go. Happy reading!! The Lion King King Of Pride Rock The animals made there way to Pride Rock, where they would pay their respects to the future queen. Upon arrival they all looked towards Pride Rock, where they could see faint shadows, and then, walking forward carrying a cub in his arms, Rafiki made his way to the very tip of Pride Rock. Following along side Rafiki was Simba and Nala. The parents of this newborn cub. And the current King and Queen. Carefully Rafiki held the cub towards the sky, as a light from the suns raze shone down upon them. The animals all bowed down. Paying their respects to this newborn cub. A tradition that has been around for a long time. Simba - watching this ceremony started remembering back to when he was just a little lion cub. Closing his eyes, he remembered something that his father had said, when he was just a little cub. " Dad?" " Hmm?" " We're pals, right?" (Gentle laugh) "Right." "And we'll always be together, right?" "Simba, ... Let me tell you something that my father told me ... Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars." "Really?" "Yes ... So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you ... And so will I." ...Simba slowly opened his eyes. He felt content. Looking over at Nala he smiled. "Nala, I think we should name our daughter "Kiara." Nala shifted her front paws and made her way to their den, turning back she whispered "Kiara is a beautiful name" and with that, her sleek body disappeared into the den. Rafiki summoned all of the animals to go back to their homes. For the ceremony was over. Rafiki made his way to where Simba was sitting and placed the little lion cub next to him. "Good luck Simba, 'ol Rafiki knows you'll raise her well don't forget - if you get lost 'ol Rafiki knows de way!' and with that Rafiki made his way home. Simba sighed, placing one paw on the lion cub and bringing her closer to him. "Atchoo" Simba smiled and looked at his daughter "Kiara, we are all part of the Great Circle Of Life, one day I wont be here. I know you will make a beautiful queen Kiara" Simba gently picked up Kiara and made his way to where Nala was sleeping. The years passed by, and Kiara was growing more beautiful every day. One morning Kiara woke up earlier than the others, so she decided to make her way down to the outlands, where she would brush up on her hunting skills. Carefully making her way out of the den, tiptoeing past the Lionesses' sleeping she stumbled upon a very stunned Zazu. "Good morning Zazu, beautiful morning isn't it?", she said giggling nervously. "Why yes Princess Kiara, it is a lovely day". Kiara nodded and began to make her way once again. Suddenly Zazu flew straight in front of her, abruptly stopping her from going any further. "And where do you think you're going young lady?" Zazu made his way to the ground standing with his beak in the air and his wings folded across his chest. "N-Nowhere. I mean, I was going down to the water hole" Kiara looks carefully at Zazu and realizes that he's not buying it. So she takes a step backwards and grins "Pleeeeeeeeeeease?" Zazu sighs and says "Oh alright Princess, as long as you are back for when we round up the Lionesses' for feeding" "Oh, I will! Thankyou Zazu!", says Kiara as she slowly gallops off into the distance. "Ooh, I don't think Simba will be too happy" Zazu ponders as he scratches his beak. "Be to happy with what exactly?" said a familiar voice. Zazu turned around to see Simba standing behind him. "Goodmorning Sire" , Zazu said with a bit of nervousness in his voice. "You see, Kiara wanted to go down to the waterhole, and oh sire, she has blossomed into quite a beautiful lioness... oh how the days when she was a cub have just gone so quickly" Simba began to frown and interrupts. "Zazu!", Simba said rather loudly. "Uh, y-y-yes sire?" "Which way did my daughter go?" "She went towards the outlands" "THE OUTLANDS?", Simba cried. "I thought you said she was going to the waterhole?" "Oh dear Simba, I do believe I have messed up. She looked so innocent I thought I could trust her" Simba looked around frantically then turned towards the outlands "Zazu! Round up all of the lionesses' Kiara could be in trouble. HURRY!" and with that Simba galloped towards the outlands at a great speed. Meanwhile Kiara had found herself a nice spot to rest. -All of this hunting is tiring- she thought to herself as she slowly laid down. And then, without even a whisper, Kiara's eyes close and she fell into a light sleep. Upon falling asleep the laughter of hyena's could be heard in the distance, Kiara awoke from her sleep with great haste. And looked around her. From every corner she could see shadows becoming larger and larger. "Well, well, well what have we got here?", one of the Hyena's said. "Hmm. I don't know Shenzi Uh... What do you think Nuka?" Nuka?? Kiara was shocked. And as if he could read her thoughts, Nuka made his way from out of the darkness and spoke. "Yes, that's right Kiara! *I* am the leader of the hyena's!" Nuka looked towards the skies and said "I'm doing this for you mom!" "What?", Kiara stuttered. Shenzi made her way up to Kiara and bared her sharp teeth. "That's right!", she snarled "Nuka is the leader of the hyena's now! Scar would be, but he is dead. It is all Simba's fault, and he must pay!" Kiara stood up her body was trembling from the rude awakening "No! It was not Daddy's fault! He tried to help them!" Tears started to well in her eyes. Zira made her presence heard my letting out and all mighty roar. She then motioned her head towards the dark shadows and with that appeared a large lion shaped shadow. "Mother!", the shadow said with great obedience. And with that, the lion shaped shadow became the body of Kovu. Kiara squinted and shuddered "No", she whispered. "Kovu... no" Kovu made his way towards Zira. "What must you do?", Zira said "Avenge Scar and take his place as king!", said Kovu looking directly in front of him, sitting with his head held high.. "And who killed Scar?", Zira said, getting firmer with her voice. "Simba!" Kovu said attentively. "And what must we do to Simba?" "KILL!!", Kovu said, the word echoed through the sky. "Zira!", said a snarling voice. Zira turned around to see Simba standing there. His mane was ruffled and his body was heaving. Behind him stood the Lionesses'. "Why Simba, what a pleasant surprise, too bad your little pride can't save you now! Mwahaha" and with that Zira commanded the hyena's to attack! Nuka began to run towards Simba, looking back at Zira yelling "I'm doing this for you mom, watch me!" The hyena's slowed down, so that Nuka could have his moment of glory. Kovu stood back in the distance, he was waiting, for he knew that Nuka would never defeat Simba. Nuka stretched out his claws and leaped towards Simba, ready to slash him across the face. When all of a sudden Kiara blocked Nuka from Simba, and went to swipe at Nuka. "Noooooooooo!!", she screamed as Nuka took that one swipe, which instead of making contact with Simba's face slashed Kiara across the face, knocking her to the ground. The other Lionesses' stopped fighting with the hyena's for a second to see the lifeless body of Kiara lying on the ground. The hyenas ran off for their master had disappointed them. The Lionesses' bowed their heads and made their way back to pride rock. For they knew that it it was between Simba, Zira and Kovu now. Kiara's lifeless body still lay upon the dusty ground. Zira paced back and forth in front of Simba, as his pride made their way back home. "You are mine now Simba! Your daughter is gone!" she paused for a second and then lifted her paw in the air motioning Kovu to walk over. Kovu walked passed the lifeless body that lay there. And made his way over to where Zira stood. Simba's paws began to tremble. He wanted to go over and see his daughter, but at the same time he knew he had to fight. Zira's eyes began to close, and then without a warning she screamed "GET HIM", and with that Kovu leaped on top of Simba and began clawing and biting at him. Simba began to fight back. Trying hard to get Kovu off of him. He was trying so hard, that he didn't notice the long drop. He fought with all of his might rolling around on the dusty ground. Kovu looked at Simba and without saying anything, tried to get him closer and closer to the drop, that which, if Simba fell. Would kill him. Simba clawed at Kovu's face. Trying to push him away, but he was too close to the edge. He slipped and went over. But just in time, he was able to clasp his two front paws onto the ledge. Kovu steadied himself and walked over to Simba. Showing his sharp claws he attached them to Simba's front paws. Looking deep into Simba's eyes he whispered "Long live the king!" and with that he shoved him off of the ledge, where Simba fell to his death. Kovu grinned menacingly for he knew he had followed in scars footsteps. Nuka walked up to him and smiled "Long live they king ey?", well I do believe *I* am the king!" Kovu gasped and looked at the ledge, and then back at Nuka. "I don't think so Nuka! *I* am king!", he said swiping Nuka across the face with his two front paws. "Kovu! Stop it!", Zira screeched. But it was too late. Kovu was filled with blood lust, he wanted nothing more than to be king. Now that Simba was out of the way, there was nothing stopping him, that is, if he got rid of Nuka too! "Mom!", Nuka screamed! As Kovu shoved Nuka into a rock wall. The rocks started crumbling, getting larger and larger as they did so. Until a whole chunk of the wall gave way, crushing Nuka, like an ant under a Zebra's hoof. "My poor Nuka", Zira said, with a saddened tone. Zira glared at Kovu and said in disbelief "What have you done?". Kovu began to stutter "I-I-I I didn't mean for it.. I mean I-I-I" and with that he built up the courage and growled "I did NOTHING!" Zira gasped and began to walk away. "Kovu! You killed my poor Nuka. For that, I want nothing to do with you from the moment I walk away, FOREVER!", and with that she made her way, away from the outlands. Kovu stood there in silence. Kiara's body still lied upon the dusty ground. Simba lay dead down the bottom of the drop. And Nuka's body was crushed under a million rocks. Kovu bowed his head and looked over at where Kiara's body lay. -Now what?- he thought to himself He was now king. But for what price? "Simba?", he heard a voice whisper. Kovu looked around to see Nala making her way towards him. It was nighttime now, so it was hard to see. "Simba? Is that you?"................ .....To be continued
