Episode 8: OZ's Decision

The year is After Colony 195. After the several battles that severly damaged OZ, the top OZ officials had a meeting to determine the future of OZ and to deal with the Gundams.

Setting- OZ Headquarters

Treize had just recieved word that 5 Gundams had landed on Earth and attacked five bases, completely demolishing them.

Treize: Order an top OZ official meeting
OZ Officer: Yes, your excellency.

Setting- Top Secret Meeting Room in OZ Headquarters, 4 hours later

Space Forces General Strife: What is the meaning of this meeting?
Treize: I have assembled this meeting according to some very recent incidents...
Terrestrial Forces General Peterson: It's regarding the five bases that have been destroyed on Earth, isn't it?
Treize: Yes, you are correct.
General Peterson: Who would do such a thing?
Treize: The colonies.
General Strife: The colonies?
Treize: The colonies has resurrected the Gundams to do battle with OZ.
General Peterson: It's almost as if... no it couldn't be...
Treize: Almost as if what? As if the war that broke out 100 years ago.
General Peterson: No way. Are they the same Gundams?
Treize: Same models...
Lady Deux: 01 has been spotted in North America, 02 in Europe, 03 in Asia, 04 in Africa, and 05 in Australia.
General Strife: They've covered the whole world other than South America and Antartica.
Treize: If you were properly shown the designs of these Gundams, you'll find a lot about them.
Lady Deux: Let me demonstrate.
Treize: Thank you, Lady.

Lady Deux pulls down a projector screen. And turns on the projector.

Lady Deux: (points to a picture of all the Gundams) This is a Gundam.
OZ Officers: Ooo!
Lady Deux: (points to a picture of Wing Gundam) This is Zero One, he has a large buster rifle capable of engulfing several mobile suits. It causes tremendous damage. Its two beam sabres are also deadly and the extremely large shield is also used as a weapon. This suit is highly manueverable because of its powerful wings and can transform into bird mode in which it can have gained velocity. Just to tell you, their armor is virtually indestructible and is made of gundamium alloy. The only way to get this suit is to fire a barrage of ammunition to make its path very unmanueverable and difficult to get through. (points to a picture of Deathscythe) This is Zero Two, he has a shield that is equipped with a beam trident, which can fire. Its large beam scythe takes the place of sabres and is specially designed for close range battles. The suit is equipped with hyperjammers which makes in undetectable. Its paint job also makes it hard to see at night. Our strategies is to attack it while it is far away and in order to do that we must have increased security and observations. (points to a picture of Heavyarms) This long range Gundam has plenty of ammunition and is full or surprise, but lacks in speed. Our object is to outrun it and damage it at close range or to make it run out of ammo since it uses it very fast. (points to a picture of Sandrock) Zero Four has extremely thick armor, but lacks in speed and manueverability. Its main weapon is its two heat blades that slash mobile suits apart easily. To defeat this we'll try to damage its armor has much as we can and take advantage of its weakness. (points to a picture of Shenlong) Avoid close combat with Zero Five for its beam glaive will beat the crap out of you. It's left arm is extremely strong and is equipped with a biting dragon fang, extendable dragon arm, and flamethrowers. That is the end of this Gundam design report.
Treize: Thank you, Lady.
Lady Deux: My pleasure serving you, your excellency.
General Strife: That disgusts me. (mockingly) "My pleasure serving you, your excellency."
General Peterson: HAHA!
Treize: Ahem! So what did you think of the design report.
General Strife: Long and boring.
General Peterson: Informative.
General Strife: No duh.
Treize: Any ideas or suggestions.
General Strife: I say we individually attack the Gundams with all our firepower that will surely defeat them.
Treize: Where would we find them?
General Strife: Good point.
Lady Deux: We can lure them here.
General Peterson: And then we ambush them.
Treize: More likely they would ambush us.
General Strife: I got an idea!
Treize: Speak up!
General Strife: We could hide mines in unmanned trains and disguise them as mobile suit transport trains.
Treize: Sounds like an idea.
General Strife: And when the Gundams come to investigate - kaboom!
General Peterson: I like.
Treize: Ok, we'll try that.
Lady Deux: Now onto more important issues.
Treize: Thank you for reminding me, Lady.
General Strife: Let me guess, you'll say, "My pleasure serving you, your excellency." Right?
Lady Deux: No, I was going to say, "You're welcome, your excellency."
General Strife: D'oh! Oh well, same thing.
Treize: We have to go over the matter of increasing to our headquarters. With the Gundams on Earth, we'll need increased security here to defend against Gundam attack.
Radar Operator: I have something to say...
Treize: Go on.
Radar Operator: Speaking of security, Zero One has just penetrated our security.
Treize: What?! Why didn't you tell me?
Radar Operator: Just recieved the report that the perimeter guards were destroyed by an unknown mobile suit, with a captured picture identified as Zero One.

Setting- OZ Headquarters

This was not a false alarm. Surely enough, John after the destruction of the New York City OZ base, flew over the Pacific Ocean and in anger of his parents' death attacked OZ Headquarters in Luxembourg. Explosions littered the air as John ripped through Leos with his beam sabre. One of the remaining Leos fired a bazooka at John and he blocked with a shield. The blast caused him to fall down though, but as Wing Gundam fell, John fired the buster rifle eliminating the rest of the Leos. As John slowly got up, several more explosions exploded on the other side of the base.

John: I didn't cause those...

John headed towards the explosions, when a high-speed jet flew from beneath him and tried to make its getaway.

John: Oh no, you don't.
General Peterson: Please don't hurt me.
John: DIE OZ SCUM!

John blasted the OZ jet with his mighty buster rifle. Within the base, all the top OZ officals saw what had just happened on a live viewscreen.

Setting- Top Secret Meeting Room in OZ Headquarters

General Strife: NO! The terrestrial forces General Peterson is dead!
Treize: As you can see the ruthless of the Gundams presented here, we must do something.
General Strife: We will crush them.
Lady Deux: i will take control of these strategies.
Radar Operator: Four more Gundams have infilitrated throught the base on the eastern perimeter.
Treize: What?!?! More?
Radar Operator: It was Zero One that killed General Peterson. It's now heading towards the eastern perimeter to probably join up with the rest.
Lady Deux: Who knew Gundams had so much power?
Treize: Lady...
Lady Deux: Yes, your excellency. Deploy the Aries and the Tragos. I want air and ground support troops.

Setting- OZ Headquarters

John had continued heading towards the eastern perimeter to investigate the explosion, only to find four mobile suits.

John: Must be rebel mobile suits like me.

Lara, Tom, Britney, and Wufei all saw the new mobile suit that just arrived to face them.

Lara: Is that a new type of mobile suit made by OZ.
Tom: It looks similar to our mobile suits.
Britney: Is it a Gundam?
Wufei: Unknown mobile suit made of gundamium alloy. Sensors indicate it has a buster rifle, vulcans, two beam sabres, and a shield.
Lara: Sounds like our designs.
Britney: You got that right.
Tom: Is he our enemy?
Wufei: I think he is. Look!
Tom: Oh shit!

Surely enough, what Wufei saw, scared the hell out of the four Gundam pilots. The unknown mobile suit had pointed its buster rifle at them. The buster rifle powered up and formed a ball. The ball became a blast that hurtled towards the foursome. Tom, Britney, and Wufei dodged out of the way, but Lara stood in the middle of the path.

Britney: No, Lara.

Surprisely the blast, flew past the Deathscythe and ended up blowing up several OZ buildings and a couple of Aries that were targeting the others.

Wufei: Whew! That was close.

The Wing Gundam dropped its buster rifle and door popped out of its shield. John pulled out his beam sabre. John slashed at the five Tragos and instantly destroyed them. The Wing Gundam paused a little and turned around to face Heavyarms, Deathscythe, Sandrock, and Wufei.

Wufei: Somebody's gotta tell them we are on his side.
Lara: I will.
Tom: No, Lara wait.

By that time, Lara's cockpit had opened and Lara slid out.

John: She's young like me.

Wufei saw Lara and came out as well, but not for the same reason.

Wufei: (drools) Lara... (hearts pop out of his eyes)
Lara: Oh brother...

John also slides out of the cockpit of the Wing Gundam with a concealed gun behind his back.

Lara: Whoa, he's young too like the rest of us. (starts to float) He's so dreamy...

To Lara's surprise, what seemed like a friendly gesture became a nightmare as John cocked his gun and pointed it a Lara.

Lara: (gasps)
Britney: Watch out, he's going to shoot.
Tom: Please don't. We are just rebels fighting off OZ. Isn't that what you are doing too?
John: Huh, you're fighting for the colonies, aren't you?
Lara: YES!
John: Then I shall not harm you...

John slid back inside his Gundam and faced the other way. The Wing Gundam flew up and its buster rifle and shield connected to the transformed Wing Gundam into its neo=bird mode and John blasted away. Lara watched that unknown pilot fly away.

Lara: Wait I haven't introduced myself. My name is Lara Seaver, what's yours?

The scorched base was literally destroyed, but the center had been spared.

Setting- Top Secret Meeting Room in OZ Headquarters

Radar Operator: The five Gundams are retreated, but Zero One, which left first is heading a different direction.
Treize: Which means...
Lady Deux: They aren't together.
General Strife: And we can strike them individually, which would crush them without the other Gundams support.
Lady Deux: Right...
Treize: Let's procedure with this plan codenamed Operation: Foil.
Lady Deux: Good name...

Outside of OZ Headquarters' Perimeters

Tom: I can't believe we are retreating.
Britney: Just do it.
Wufei: That was strange.
Lara: Yes, that was a strange boy. I wonder who is he?
