Well, Ed. No two without the third one, yeh? This is what we know, Ed's important part of The Hyena Trio, he's the funny guy and he gets along with Banzai and Shenzi quite well, even Banzai and he fight alot. Often the fighting starts when Banzai does something silly, or painful, and Ed laughs to him. Banzai gets pissed and the Fight can begin.
We can only guess about Ed's place in the Trio, is he just Banzai's or Shenzi's brother, or childhood friend? Is Ed in love with Shenzi or are they just friends, or sisters and brothers? If you look at Shenzi's cute, mother-kind careing of Ed, there'll be a reason to think that ed is Shenzi's brother.
And other thing that makes us wonder is Ed's "stupidness", is he really stupid or does he just play? Maybe Ed is very inteligent, but he just can't show it in a right way. And yes, he talks! In Hyena language, but talks anyway. That's a wise thing, because when he wants to talk in private, hyena-to-hyena, lions or other animals cannot understand him. Maybe that's why some (lion?) animal has got pissed and said, "Phew, he's too stupid to ven talk!" It's unfair, you should not judge a hyena by the way he talks!
