Balto is one of my favorite movies. I wish I could've known Balto, he is my hero, he will never be forgotten, and he will always be in my heart!!

I saw the cartoon, "Balto" tonight and put it on my search engine. Your name appeared and I clicked on it. Why? Because in 1931 or 2 my father and I were walking in Central Park and we stopped at the statue of Balto. A man walked up behind us with a very large dog and he told my father that the dog was Balto and proceeded to tell us all about him. My father invited him to our apartment on East 76th Street and my mother had just baked coffee cake and we had coffee with it. It was the height of the depression so all we had for sandwiches was American cheese and nothing for the dog who sat under the table. I still remember his warm tongue licking my finger so I snuck a couple of pieces of cheese to him. I never heard his name but if I saw him again after 72 years, I think I would still recognize
him and certainly would remember his dog's tongue if it really was

The site isn't as good as Star's Haven but what the heck, at least there's still hope. There should be a site dedicated to Nikki. Anyway, I like the site not only because Kaltag's my favourite of the trio in the movie, but it has a huge (well, maybe 'big') library of the sounds from 'Balto'. The site could use a little more work, like a tag-bole more work, like a tag-board, downloads section or something like that.

really great site! i love wolves and sleddogs and of course balto. did everyone saw the live finish of the iditarod? you can still see it on iditarod.com. martin buser ended first with a new record:
8 days 22 hours and 46 minutes (his homepage is: www.buserdog.com/buserdog/)
for the ones who don't know what the iditarod is, it is the longest sleddog race (1046 miles) and balto ran a part of it. the race is in memory of january 1925, when the sleddogs had to bring the antidote from nenana to nome.

I'm watching Balto 2: Wolf Quest on Cartoon Network and so far, it's pretty good. It's getting into a bit of Balto's past and it's a cool way of showing what happened after the first Balto. If you're watching it, or seen it, what do you think of it? If you don't , I hope you rent it when it comes out.

I think I was the last one to sign the guestbook, but I'm going to sign in again. I think this is one of the coolest Balto sites I've found so far. A week ago, I didn't even know Balto sites existed! Do you know what's fun to do? Using 2 VCRs, you can take short clips from Balto and put some music in the background to make a flashback! Fun! I know what Balto is feeling when he gets made fun of,because in high school,I used to get made fun of,like one time,I was on a spare,and these kids were making fun of me,I went outside and cyed a little bit,

It's good to see that Balto has a life, after the initial limited theatre release. Thank heavens for videotape.Thanks for this site too, Kaltag, whoever you are.
I was a (senior) background painter on the film, here in London, and I have a few images in the "Features" section of my website, as well as comments on the background paintings.
Most of the crew went off to California afterwards, and became the core of Dreamworks SKG Feature Animation.
I was proud to have worked on the film, it was a beautifully crafted piece of work produced on a comparatively small budget, and had a realy good camaraderie amongst the artists.

i hate the balto movie, cuz about 2 things in the entire movie r real.
for example, there was really a dog "balto" (yes he was part wolf irl)
and, there is really a statue. In real life, there were 7 sled teams from Nome to Nenana, and balto was really a sled team leader.

Great pictures! The cartoon dogs are cool, of course, but how about a photo of the real Balto? Our Natural History Museum is finally giving poor Balto the respect he deserves. It's funny - the real Balto was reddish in colour - not like the cartoon canine. Hmmmmm.

My favorite part of the movie is when he howls with the white wolf. I think it's the best Disney cartoon that Disney has made because it's not one of those cartoons that sing every fifteen seconds. Otherwise, I LOVE BALTO!

February 2nd may be known as Groundhog Day, but this year, I'd like to call it Balto Day. This year will mark the 75th anniversary of that famous journey in which sled dog teams brought antitoxin to stricken Nome, Alaska. One of those teams was led by a dog named Balto. I'm also a big Road Rovers fan. In fact, my home page is dedicated to this show and it's characters. But I did love the movie "Balto." James Horner wrote great music for it, but I still like John Williams better. I guess "Star Wars" did that to me. Or maybe it was the Boston Pops. I don't know. I just love that man's music! He's my favorite living composer.

My best friend, Miriam Cortes, has both of Kevin Bacon's CD's and I'd have to say she is the biggest Balto fan ever. Every time I go over her house (which is a lot) we always watch the movie. Hi, I just saw Balto a month or so ago and I thought it was great. I'm really into visuals and was majorly impressed by your images. I'm not complaining but I do have a little question; my favorite character(based on how it was drawn) was the white wolf, do you think it would be possible to get some pictures of him? I also liked the Northen Lights but I won't ask for too much. ;) I read the guestbook and I don't really know if it would be all that great to have a Balto series made, because sometimes when series or sequels of a movie come out(especially if it's a good one)they don't always live up to the "greatness" of the movie. They just seem to be missing something that was vital in making the movie so enjoyable. I really liked your page though and I'll come back sometime. bye! (sorry I kinda wrote alot.)
