CHARLIE B. BARKIN

In all three films, Charlie is a con with a good heart deep down. He'll fight for his friends no matter what...even if it means risking his own life. He also has a soft spot for humans...especially children. Charlie is always the one to get himself and his friends, Itchy and Sasha, into all sorts of mishaps but somehow they always pull through on top.

ITCHY D. ITCHIFORD

Itchy basically stays the same throughout all three films. His role as Charlie best friend and sidekick never changes. In all three films, he sticks like glue to Charlie's side in all events, but sometimes Charlie's wild schemes are sure to lead them into trouble and Itchy tries to talk his buddy out of it but he's almost always ignored. Though he loses his patience with Charlie, he never forsakes him.

CARFACE V. MALONE

Name- Carface Vic Malone

Negative Qualities- He's greedy, he smokes, and he's a cruel tyrant
Identification- Purple and black suit with a yellow bowtie and his foul-smelling cigar

Carface is the perfect greedy, power-hungry bad guy. He's done it all where crime is concerned. Murder, kidnapping, robbery, and damage to personal property are all on his record. In the first film, he does most of the planning and relies on his sidekick, Killer, to carry out the dirty work. Like Charlie, Carface is vengeful and he will walk on others to get what he wants, but unlike Charlie, he will rarely ever show remorse for anything he does.

KILLER C.

Name- Killer Charles

Killer is a classic bad guy's sidekick. His extreme submission and wimpy personality make him perfect for his rank in Carface's gang. In many ways, Killer and Itchy share a few similarities because they're both sidekicks, they're both a bit stubborn in some situations, and most of the time, their opinions are ignored. Killer has it much worse than Itchy though, being that he works for a cold-blooded murderer who won't hesitate to execute him if he's accused of messing up. Deep down, Killer's a good dog. He just puts up a tough, mean front in order to save his skin from Carface's wrath.

WHIPPET ANGEL aka ANABELLE

Name- Anabelle
Species- Canine
Breed- Whippet
Age- Immortal adult
Positive Qualities- Believes in second chances

Identification- Pink fur, wild hair tied up in a bow, sometimes a heart on a strap around her neck

In the first film, this character is known only as the Whippet angel, but in the sequels and cartoon series, she becomes known as Anabelle. Anabelle didn't care for Charlie's conning her in the first film and she told him that, because of his act of winding his watch and going back to earth, he would not be able to return to Heaven, but when Charlie gives his own life to save Anne-Marie, Anabelle is all too willing to let him come back.

ANNE-MARIE J.

Name- Anne-Marie Judith

Age- Approximately six or seven
Positive Qualities- Very big heart, loves animals and can talk to them

Anne-Marie is an adorable little girl with an unusual gift to talk to animals. Held prisoner by Carface, it's her job to talk to the rats of his rat race track to find out which one would win. When Charlie finds out about her amazing gift, he steals her from Carface and promises to find the little orphan girl a mommy and daddy, but, in truth, he just intends to use her to get revenge on Carface. The little girl becomes deeply attached to Charlie and she manages to touch his heart with her kindness and lead him back to the right path in life.

FLO L.

Name- Flo Loni

Flo is the caretaker of a group of orphan puppies at the local abandoned church. She and Charlie appeared to have feelings for each other in the film, but the closest they ever came to being mushy was an "almost" kiss from Flo, which was interrupted by a hungry pitbull pup who clamped his teeth on Charlie's hind leg without hesitation.

SASHA S. LAFLEUR

Name- Sasha Sheena LaFleur

Sasha is a street-wise stray with an aloof and indifferent personality. Charlie noticed her singing in the local canine nightclub in San Francisco and she unknowingly stole his heart. When he tried to "sweep her off her feet", she gave him the cold shoulder, but when she realized just how deep Charlie really is, she softened and their relationship grew.
