Here's the story behind the website: being a college student myself I know how expensive new textbooks are. This year it cost me over $900 for my First Year Engineering texts. The college bookstore had NO used textbooks for my courses. Mainly because they are not willing to pay enough for used texts; even though several students are advertising used texts on their own but noone's buying. Why? Their advertisments are hanging on billboards being passed by and covered up, torn down... everyone's in a hurry. Thanks to the Internet there's a new way to sell those textbooks quickly and easily with national (or international) exposure. What is College-Texts.Com? College-Texts.Com is a used textbook consignment website. It's stationed in Red Deer, Alberta catering to any University or College. All you need to do is send in the information (such as ISBN, Title, Author, Revision, and Cover Photo) or send in the textbooks to me (the Webmaster) and I'll scan it all in for you and return them in 24 hours. What's the catch? For the first month of opening I'm offering free exposure and sales of your quality used textbooks. That's it. No catches, no hidden charges, no mess, no problems! After that the exposure will continue to be free but I will charge a small percentage commission on the final sale price of the book. Exact numbers haven't been calculated yet; I'll leave that until next month. Either way, you will be notified when the free period is over and asked if you would like to continue or not. How are the books sold? Consignment means you name the price and I take a small fee for the advertising of the books. I sell the books for you and you make the money. Simple, right? I'll be advertising in every University and College I can. Full exposure across Alberta and later on across Western Canada. How will the books get to the buyer? You give the textbook to me when it is sold. I work out the details for you such as shipping, pricing, and payment. I prefer Purolator Courier for shipping and prices by weight can be found on their website. That will be added into the cost of the textbook already. When the textbook is delivered and payment is made I will bring the money (minus the small fee) back to you! How can I be sure I will recieve payment? I'm going to be VERY cautious with the sale of textbooks. The book will not be delivered unless payment is recieved. If you don't get paid, I don't get paid either. It would be a pointless venture for both of us. Still have questions?
