Ian Schanning is from Sacramento, CA.  He has many reasons for liking Nala.  He first saw the movie when he was ten, and found a natural attraction to her beauty.  Later on, he realized that he enjoyed seeing Nala more than the other characters, even watching her alone whenever she came onscreen.  He noticed her grace, her compassion, her naughtiness, which he found different from the mother figure, Sarabi.  He never tired of seeing Nala.  His Nalaholism really evolved when he discovered Nalanon and came into contact with others that felt the same way he did.  Since visiting Nalanon,  he's bought a Nala plushie off e-bay, and proudly displays it.  Even after all this time,. Nala retains the ability to instantly lighten his mood. Ian wants to be a Certified Nalaholic because it's a great way of embracing Nalaholism.  He wants to declare his love for Nala to others who feel the same way.  Congratulations, Ian, on becoming a Certified Nalaholic

Nalaholics 131-140

Ulrike comes to NA from Germany.  She was so happy to find that she was not alone in her like of Nala that she can't describe her feelings.  She feels that Nala is very beautiful and has a strong character, and that she stands by her opinions and her Simba.  At first she thought she was crazy because she was always on her mind.  Ulrike used to try to forget that she was a cartoon character, but found it was impossible, so she stopped trying!  She wishes Nala was real so he could show her a lot of love and tell her all her problems and secrets.  Ulrike wants to show the world how much she loves Nala and how proud she is to be a Nalaholic.  Congratulations, Ulrike, on becoming a Certified Nalaholic.

David J. Larson is from Brooklyn Park, MN.  He says that Nala is not only the most beautiful lioness the world has ever seen, but is an example of courage and strength for all those who know her.  Nala is most dear to him. From the moment he met her as a spunky little cub, he has been deeply in love. Watching Nala grow into a strong and beautiful (both physically and morally) lioness and stand beside Simba as they righted the wrongs of their land was an experience that he shall never forget. Today and evermore, as she lives in his mind and heart, Nala is his princess and queen.  David wants to be a Certified Nalaholic because he desires to add his name to the ranks of the faithful and confirm that which he already knows.  Congratulations, David, on becoming a Certified Nalaholic.
