Well, here are my pics. I hope that I haven't upset anyfur with the captions. If so, please let Quasi know, and I will fix it, post haste. I am sorry if I did not take your picture; I will try better next time (at the Howl, Growl and Purr Campout!) One more note: as I was fursuiting at the bowling alley and on the float, I have few pictures of those two activities. It was a hard decision to make, because I love taking my furriends' pictures, and I had a great time as my Skunkie self too!
Well, first let me set up the weekend. Mary and I arrived at ARF Central about 3PM on Friday, and were one of the first out of town Furs to arrive. We waited and soon the Furs started flocking in! The first activity was a wonderful dinner at Chris's, where the food was, as always, great (Furries LOVE food!). We even had our own Head Waitress--THANK YOU, JUDY *HUGS from all of us!*. More Furs showed up there, and we had a total of at least 60 at the restaurant! Next year, we're gonna try to fill Chris's with Furries!
Hey, we love to bowl! That about sums it up. Although not all of the Furs were here, as some had to work on the float, we had another great time here! As I was the first to arrive in a fursuit, I was continuously mobbed by all of the children at the bowling alley, but I had a blast entertaining them! As you can see by the pics, bowling wasn't the only thing on our minds (MINDS OUTTA DA GUTTER, NOW!), but having fun was. Good music, so-so bowling scores, and tons-o-fun kept us busy til after Midnight!
Well, after the parade (a huge success too--thanks to SpikedPunch, Eddie Canis, B.J. Buttons, and every other Fur who spent all Friday night/Saturday morning working on the float with no sleep at all!), we went to the dry confines of the General Gasket Company (thanks to SpikedP's parents for letting us use the facilities). We had a great lunch (thanks Chef Tyger and Chef Spike), and were treated to an improv pawpet show, featuring none other than Rapid T. Rabbit as M.C.! Some of us watched the show, some of us used the down time to catch up on some badly needed rest!
Sunday morning--No rain or clouds at all!! A wonderful day to go to the Zoo, with our own tour guide (the Tyger in the green Sash!) We had the complete tour, with special commentary on the facility too. After the Zoo trip, we went to Ted Drewes, a traditional eating and meeting place (Hmmm, Furries eating--who'd a thunk it?), and then we headed back to ARF Central, where we started to say our goodbyes, and cementing our new found furrendships. A few of us stayed for one more night, and after an emergency call to Chris's, we had another Super Supper there. Thanks again Judy!! You're the best!!!
