lions and tigers come running just to steal your luck

based off of the song "especially in michigan," lions and tigers takes from kiedis's homage to home and incorperates the ideas of rebirth and perception. home is who you are and not a place. the perception of that world around you shapes you and molds you and every so often, one hatches again. kiedis is the personified phoenix in this piece, with a flaming heron wing, reaching before his covered mouth--he is just reborn again and has nothing yet to say in his fresh state. "while you are alive conquer death and you shall have no regrets in the end," a found quote from the sri guru granth sahib. lions and tigers, the wild and primitive within is desperate for a vision of the future which is not obtained but for the moment of birth.
