        Like a chisel.
        A chisel split the white marble.
        It matters not the chisel's size.
        And in the Chasm
        Poured burning rouge,
        As the flakes raked the chasm's sides.

        Explosion of blindness.
        Aye, that it was quite so.
        Tarry not, my scorching tears.
        The vision
        the vision's no longer meant to be.
        I can no longer see my fears.

        The Hate.
        Aye, marked I am!
        Damned was the beauty I had!
        The red.
        It's all I see now.
        All I see, and it drives me mad!

        Cursed you are.
        Curse you, the one that's left!
        How DARE you tell your brother what he should see!
        Show me not.
        Remove that pureness of yours from my face.
        It's the rotten eye that has now made me.

        I really hate the fact I see 20/300 without my @#$&% Contacts.  The
only bright side is I am not blind.  The dark side, however, is I have
to go to the optometrist for even stronger lenses.  <Grumbles>  It isn't
fun having to keep my face 6 inches from the monitor screen just to see
clear. It's been years since the last time I could ever make out the top
letter on the eye chart. <Which I memorized.> ;)

        The funny thing is, Scar's bad eye, is also the same for me.  Yes, I
don't have a scar over that eye, but it is the worst between the two.  I
actually had a far better poem than this one written about the
situation, but Sadly, I lost it months ago when I was still at work.

Hee hee... Scot Lion!  You forgot to add disgust/anger to your poetry
inspiration!  ;)
