To: TLK Mailing List Gee, this is rather dark and gory. Read with discretion, please... The Technical Death of Zira By: Rindimo Cheetah It was war. Blood and fur was everywhere, as the dishevelled Outlanders battled the Pridelanders. Though they were malnourished, and scrawny, they were far tougher, and more experienced in the art of war than the Pridelanders. A lioness yelped as one Outlander swiped a deadly array of claws across her face. Her pridemates attempted to intervene by attacking the flank of the Outlander. Not even a flinch came out of it. As the bodies fell left to right, Zira advanced her way towards Simba, new scars joyously added to her body from fallen foes of the day. None could take her on and live-- she was far more experienced than any other player on the field. Even Rafiki beared some new cuts on one of his arms-- he was wise to have backed off, and try to rescue those who met Zira's wrath. She was amazing in her own right. Bodies scattered left to right along the slow, proceeding path towards Simba-- who was the only thing that seemed to actually be winning on the fighting plain-- barely. Her strength rivalled that of any male Lion that ever walked; her anger fueled her all the more in her destructive powers. Lesson to you all out there: Never mess with the affections of a woman. With a powerful swipe of her front paws, she shoved the two lionesses that were attacking Simba aside-- painfully-- and roared so hard and terrifying in her anger, that frothy saliva spewed from her yellowed jaws of teeth. The smell of blood and past meals on her breath made it all the more frightenning. The fact that Simba slinked away saved him from Zira's initial swing, but she kept on running in his direction, and raked his nose with a swipe. Simba had no choice but to fight, and placed a good blow on her shoulder. She slinked back, and looked at the blood slowly pulsing out of the new wound. Simba shook, when he heard her laugh from the bottom of her soul. She charged all the fiercer, and hit Simba with the force of a stampede with a well-planned combination of cuffs, slashes, and kicks. Simba could do nothing but try to block her advances, but just the sheer force of the blows were beginning to make his mind and reactions slip. Before he knew it, she was on another side, hitting his vital areas exactly, and excruciatingly accurate. The threads that held Simba to this life were quickly becoming strained, and snapping, and though other lionesses tried to help their ruler, Zira was aware of their presence-- even if they were in her blind spots. Simba was reduced to a reddening mass, with shredded limbs feebly blocking the increasing rapidity of Zira's flailing arms. Suddenly, all stopped to hear her scream. She fell off of Simba, and clutched at her chest. Simba, though he was near the point of fainting due to the loss of blood, took the chance to run off for some safety. Everyone-- from the outlanders, to the dwindled ranks of the Pridelanders-- watched as Zira-- the great warrior lioness-- writhed around on the ground in pain far worse than what her victims have felt. Her eyes bulged in fear, as she tried to ask for help, but she suddenly cringed again-- her body in convulsions. Desperately, she attempted to get up on her feet, and dragged her body towards Simba, Her lungs heaving irregularily, her body twitching, and her jaw chattering. The arm that had the few cuts from Simba was walked on gingerly-- as if the scars were deeper than what they seemed. With dying determination, she lunged yet again at Simba-- sending the both of them sliding towards to edge of a cliff. With the momentum of a locomotive, and though her end was inevitable, she was going to see this to the end-- even Hell wouldn't be able to claim her just yet until Simba's neck crunched in her jaws, and she could feel his dying breath bubble out into her mouth. She silently placed her mouth on Simba's neck, and her body tensed for the last action it would ever do. Simba just closed his eyes, and prayed that it would all just end. But it never came. Her limp body fell off onto the edge of the cliff. A lone paw in a desperate attempt clutched to a rock crevasse, but only for a second. Zira was nothing but an empty shell-- a shell never to be recoverred, except by those that scavenge, and rid the earth of this earthly refuse. Everyone gathered around simba, and the edge of the cliff, and just stared into the oblivion that waited for the fresh carcass... "Surely, Simba is the greater champion!" Voiced an astounded Outlander. "What did you do to defeat her like that, Simba?" Inquired his batterred mate, Nala. "N-n....nothing." The king slowly exhaled-- relieved it was all over. This had everybody confused, and all turned aside, to allow Rafiki tend to Simba's wounds. Though he himself was badly batterred, and had only a turniquette, and some leaves to use to stop the bleeding on his own self until further medical attention could be administerred, Simba was far worse off. "Wh-what happened, Rafiki?" Many lionesses from both sides asked. "Seemple. Wit Zira's Cynical Hostility behavior and her Anti-Social personality, inevitably led to Heart Disease. Though I never quite saw a case like DAT one..." "What?" Another lioness quipped up. "Sure! Common textbook material! Eet's been known for years! ..So let dat be a lesson to jyou all-- Have a happy, good heart... And eat jyour Cheerios! Dee end. Okay, sumbuddy help me move dee king..." Heart Disease-- the number one killer in the USA... and the villians in the pridelands, apparently. ;) The End.
