Sarabi
Sarabi is Mufasa's mate, Simba's mother and
with that the pride's queen. Her name means mirage in Swahili and leaves
many aspects of her personality unanswered. She's one of the characters
that doesn't appear in the sequel, even though she probably should have,
but the reason is, that her voice [Madge Sinclair] died soon after the
completion of the first film. This leaves her persona, her past and background
with a lot of holes that will unfortunately be left unsealed by the official
sources... But that is why we have Fan Fiction.
