Mufasa, the ruler of the Pride Lands got a son and named him Simba. Simba was supposed to be the next king of the Pride Lands, but Mufasa`s weaker brother had other plans. After the first plan to kill Simba failed, he devised a new one, in which Mufasa was killed in a stampede of wildebeest, but Simba (not known to Scar) survived and ran away. He was found (Simba) half-dead by Timon and Pumbaa, the meerkat/warthog duo. He lived with them `till his adulthood, when sudenly his cubhood friend Nala found him while searching for food. They fell in love, but Simba still refused to return, not ready to accept what Nala had told him.

     Rafiki came and "knocked some sense into him", making him change his mind and return. They returned to Pride Rock, standing in the middle of the Pride Lands. A big fight followed, in which Scar`s deeds were revealed and Simba was victorious (Scar was killed by his own subjects- the hyenas). The movie ends with Simba nad Nala presenting their cub (continuing the Circle of Life).
