Wolf Dog Out in the Cold
by Barque
Barque, the white wolf was lying in the snow, dreaming. He heard the faint
noise of barking about a mile off. He stood up..."Let's go!" he said to his
pack. His pack contained Barque, his mate Fah the grey female, Lola the brown
female, his best friend, Dingo the red male and his five pups who were named
King, Fresca, Teego, Dengure and Gaught. They ran and ran. Then he
stopped.
"Barque...is something wrong?" asked Fah. he ignored her and howled onto
the white wall of mist. There was no reply. He tried again. Then a howl came
back.
Braque's eyes lit up. "Let's go!" he said. The pack was puzzled but ran with
him any way. A few minuets later he saw her. A young black husky...or was
it a wolf? He couldn't tell. She was covered in snow and the snow that was
covering her leg was red. Barque brushed the snow off her leg. She was caught
in a bear trap. After some struggling the pack managed to free her.
In the packs cave, Barque, Lola and Dingo were looking at the new comer.
She was woozy from blood loss but was alive. Fah came in with the pups and
dropped two dead rabbits infront of the small clan of wolves.
The black husky/wolf(?) opened her eyes. "Wh...where am I?" she asked herself.
As her vision cleared she made out the wolves. "Who are you?" she asked them.
King nibbled at her ear.
"I think the better question is who are you?" asked Barque. She stood up
and stumbled.
"I am Flash," she fell down."Now who are you?"
Barque sighed. "I am Barque," he pointed to Dingo and Lola,"this is Dingo
and this is Lola."
Fah walked up with the pups,"oh and this is my mate Fah and our pups." Fah
walked out again and brought in a pile of snow. She started lapping it asthough
it was water. So did the rest of the pack.
Barque stared at her..."Now what are you?" he asked her. "I...am a wolf dog.
My mother was a husky and my father was a wolf."
Dingo was standing next to her. Boy she's pretty. He thought.
