Have you ever wondered what happened to the rest of Jenna's first litter? You know, all the ones that looked like plain ol' huskies?

Jenna, a reddish and white huskey, sat with her mate, Balto, a wolf dog, on the sidewalk, staring down at the huge cardboard box which once held all of their pups. Balto knew they'd regret giving their children away. Now, as he watched his poor beloved cry and weep, he softly whispered, "It'll be okay, Jenna."

Meanwhile, just as the father spoke these words, a young boy who had just come home cradling a little puppy in his arms had just been told to get rid of the animal. "I can't give him back!" the child had cried, "I don't want them to think I dislike the dog, Dad! Besides, all the puppies need new homes!" His father had just shook his head and demanded that he just let it go. Sadly, the boy nodded and slammed the door shut. He then placed the puppy outside by a large evergreen tree, tears pouring down his weather hardened face.
