Love Find's A Way

Will Steele ever find a mate? Read on to find out

It was Christmas and the snow was beginning to fall on the ground. Everyone was in there Holiday Spirit...and so was the dogs.

Jenna: Balto!
Balto:What?

SPLAT...a bunch of snow hit Balto's face as he turned around.
Laughter filled the area as they saw what Jenna had done.

Balto: JENNA...what did you do that for?"
Jenna smiled:"Because"

Balto quickly grabbed some snow and threw it at her...but to late...Steele had already walked in front of her and was now covered in thick snow.
Balto gasped...but broke out laughing like the others. Steele wasn't to happy about this.

Steele: Oh, I am SO gonna get you wolfdog...and when I do your going to be crow food!!"

Balto stopped laughing and sprang to his paws, but Jenna was already on his side.

Jenna: Steele it wasn't his fault, he was aiming at me, he didn't mean to hit you, you just got in the way

Steele growled deep in his throat still wanting a chance to beat him up. "Well make sure it doesn't happen again..meanwhile, Jenna wanna take a stroll?"

Balto perked his eats waiting for Jenna's response

Jenna: No thank you Steele

She was looking at Balto compassionately.
Balto sighed in relief
Steele faced Jenna angirly

Steele: What's with you Jeena, ever since this wolf-dog has been hanging around you started to like him...Jenna he's a half breed, don't you understand, he doesn't belong here, he...he belongs with the wolfs!!

Jenna looked at Steele calmy. She then padded over to Balto and sat next to him. "I don't care if he was a greedy, duke nose, snoty little malamute like you, Steele you have to understand that I like him for who he is, not what!"

Lots of agreed comments rang in the air and Kaltag simply said, "Wise words Jenna"

Steele looked taken aback at the fact that Jenna will never probably like him. He faced Balto and snarled at him. "This is all your fault Half-breed...I'll get you some day, and that's a promise!"

Steele ran...sprinting like he never did before he ran out of town and never stopped intill he reached the woods and disappeared. He would never go back to Nome again, no matter what it takes, he doesn't want to see that wolf dog again!

Steele looked around the woods looking for shelter. He spotted a cave on the other side of the stream and decided that he would rest there for the night. Swimming across the ice cold water until he got to the other side and jumped up quickly. Shivering he gritted his teeth hoping that he would dry of soon. Steele walked over to the cave and went inside seeing that it was warm and cozy and big with no other creatures in it he would make it his home for the time being. Curling up against a warm solid rock he decided to get some sleep, noting that he would take a look around his new home when he woke up.

Sun streamed inside the cave as morning flowed in. Steele grunted and rolled over. A bird chirped in the distance. Steele sprang to his paws looking around franticly. But then calmed down remembering that he wasn't in Nome anymore. He sighed and padded out of his cave. It was a beautiful morning and he knew right away that he was in no danger. His stomached growled hungrily as he walked around the clearing. Steele, determined to get something to eat searched for some prey. AHA! he thought as he saw a squirrel walking around a tree looking for oats and nuts.

Steele sprang

The squirrel didn't see him at first but when she heard him it knew that it was being hunted. It dashed. To late.

Steele had already sank his claws in it's tail so that it couldn't run away. The squirrel screamed pitifully, trying to run...but knowing that it wouldn't live to see another day.

Steele killed it and took it back into the cave for breakfast.

When he was hungry no more he walked around the pretty site exploring the world around him. Suddenly there was a black flash.

Steele stopped immediately. There was another flash...then another, and suddenly Steele knew that he was being watched.

"What do you want?" he cried bravely.

The black flash stopped behind a tree. Steele gulped.

It came out into the clearing to face Steele. Steele gasped, it was the beautifulist husky he had ever seen. But no it didn't look like a husky at all...nor malamute. Could it be...YES, it was, it was a female wolf. Her long tail wasn't bushy like a husky...it was long, and her body was more slim then a malamute. Her ears were more perked, and she was a pretty jet black female wolf.

Steele gaped at her presense, and even though he never knew her...he knew that he was in love.

The wolf walked up to him and growled, "What are you doing in my territory?" Steele was confused, "What do you mean?"

The wolf looked at Steele more firmly then before and her eyes became more soft. "Oh you probably don't know that wolves live here do you...but never mind that...I'm Flash, whats you name?"

Steele gasped, "Wolves live here!" Flash nodded. "But that's ok, I'll tell them that you mean no harm, and maybe if my leader is nice enough he'll let you live here for awhile..." Steele gulped, "I...I come from Nome, the town a that lies a couple miles from here."

Flash: Why did you come here then?
Steele: I don't belong there...nobody likes me
Flash: I'm sorry...but I didn't catch your name...?
Steele:Oh, my name is Steele
Flash: That's a very nice name
Steele: And so is Flash

They grinned at each other

Flash: You know, you're very handsome
Steele: Well thanks...you're the prettiest female I had ever seen in my whole entire life!
Flash blushed: Thanks
Steele: Um...do you mind if you can show me around...you know...a tore?"
Flash: Of course, your always welcome here, come on, I'll show you our meadow first

And so while the day neared on and became close to night, Flash and Steele started to fall in love with each other. Flash liked him so much that she decided to stay with Steele for the night, at his cave. While they slept, they snuggled up beside each other and nuzzled. Flash has never felt so close to anyone before, and nevr had Steele. He began to forget all about Jenna, and wanted to be with Flash more then ever. The next morning Flash became pregant, and had four babies. Two males and and Two females. All looking like there parents they named them: Sapphire, Darkfire, Kat, and the one that looks more like Steele: Bujin
