Silverstream

A silver flash of energy sprang behind a tree and stopped suddenly to smell the ice cold breeze that surrounded her. It was winter time and food was scarce for dogs who don't have a home with a owner. She was a full grown wolf who was abandoned by her owner when she was nearly a pup. Now she lives in the woods, taking and feeding herself through the harsh cold winter.

They called her Silverstream, for her silky white pelt. Balto was her close pal when they were pups and they grew up together becoming great friends. She visited him now and then but wasn't to tempted to go near the village that she was betrayed from. So Balto would meet her some place else.

Suddenly Silverstream heard voices in the distance not far from her cave. Growling softly she ran through the trees jumping and avoiding tree stumps or bushes that stood in her way. When she reached the clearing she spotted to three young wolfs about her age but more fierce looking then she suspected.

"Who are you and what are you doing on my territory?" She spat angrily.

The biggest and more experienced looking of the three padded up to her and sat down in of her calmly.

"Don't you know who we are Silverstream? Or have you forgotten your long lost pals?" he said wonderingly

Silverstream gasped but stood her ground lowering her head in her defense

"How do you know my name?...and I am not your pal for I don't even know who you three are!!!"

The wolf that was standing in of her looked taken aback for he said offended, "Silverstream it is us...remember me Bariliqe...and Sadilo...Factilar?"

Silverstream closed her eyes and got lost in her past before she could control it...

She was in a field with Balto and three other wolfs,they were pups, playing tag and wrestling playfully. Balto jumped on her back and whispered in her ear, "Hey guess what!! I think Bariliqe says that he's gonna run away from his owner and join the wild!! Do you think we should let him do that?"

Silverstream shrieked and ran over to Bariliqe saying, "No don't do it Bariliqe I don't want you ta go,you are my friend!!" But Bariliqe simply said, "I have to do it for my own good silver ya know it,my owner is bad to me and I don't want ta live with him any more...but Silver if ya really want to stay with me then you promise me this right?" Silverstream only nodded and listened impatiently. "When Im gone you will remember me always! And maybe if I can then I will come back ta you someday..k?" Silverstream nodded and a tear trickled down her face....

Silverstream remembers now! Bariliqe had left her for a month his owner searching for him every where. But then when Silversteam had done nothing for her former owners and just lying about the house thinking of him her owners had decided that she was no use to them anymore so they abandoned her on the side of teh street..and that is how her life ended up here.

She jerked her eyes opened and screamed happily at her fellow friends that were standing around her.

"Oh Bariliqe.Sadilo,Factilar I have missed you so much, I'm so sorry I hadn't recognized you!!!" She hugged them one by one and tears flooded down her cheeks as she remembered the happy memories she had with her long lost friends. "Where have you been all my life,and why are you seeing to me now??"

Sadilo licked her ear fondly and said cheerfully,"Oh just roaming the land and meeting new people...forgetting the past and just go on with our life..where have you been?"

Silverstream shrugged and said sadly "Just around these woods..meeting Balto here and there so i can have company but I don't think I need it now since you guys are here,thanks for visiting me!"

Factilar smiled broadly and nuzzled his close companion affectionitley. "I have been waiting to hear your voice fore so long...(Factilar has been very very fond of Silverstream the first time he layed eyes on her and right now he's wondering if she felt the same feelings for him)

Silverstream burried her face into Factilar's fur and felt at home once more.

Bariliqe and Sadilo shared amused glances for the two couple, Sadilo couldn't resist saying, "Maybe we should leave you two alone and have time by your self..well just go inside your cave and look around...if you haven't noticed where still here..you know??"

Silverstream laughed at his comment and chased him a short distance.

Factilar still held his gaze on Silverstream watching her every movement, as if she was the only person there with him.

Bariliqe walked close to him and said in his ear, "So are you in love with her or are you just staring at her to make up for all the time that you missed?" he snorted amusingly.

Factilar looked at his old friend confiding in him for the thousandth time, "She just takes my breath away when she looks at me with those crystal eyes..I can't help it Bariliqe that I'm in love with her and I would take care of her all my life if she only just..feels the same way I do for her....but I don't know if she shares the same feelings as I do for her..you know what I'm saying? Oh, how long I don't know..."

Barilqe nodded and said simply, "That is for you to confide in...and her to know about...I think it is time, for you to tell her..."
