chapter one finding the brew
A WORD OF WARNING IF YOU DON'T LIKE BALTO BEING THE BAD GUY DON'T READ THIS BUT I STILL THINK YOU WILL LIKE THIS ONE SO READ ON.
Balto star dixie and jenna were sitting in the boiler room goofing off to each other star was joking about dixie kind of making fun of her and so was balto of jenna.
"yea well this one time jenna...."
jenna slapped her paw over Balto's face.
"shut up."
dixie was laughing at this star then snuggled up to dixie and then they rubbed noses. balto and jenna smiled at them then they turned to each other and did the same.
suddenly the door flung open and a man carrying a box of some sort walked in the man looked down at the dogs.
"oh well hello there."
the man continued to take the box over to a corner in the room and put it under a blanket and then he walked for the door.
"now you dogs don't tell anyone about this ok."
the man walked out shutting the door being him.
balto walked over to the box and lifted the blanket off with his mouth.
"I wonder what this is."
balto said jenna looked at the bottles and took a big whiff of one she took a few steps back while shacking her head.
"jenna what is it."
balto said.
"its what the humans call fire water."
balto looked back at the bottles.
"so what is fire water."
balto asked then jenna responded.
"well I don't know what it is but i do know what it does when humans drink it they start acting weird and in the morning they feel sick and it does sometimes ruin there life."
"oh."
they all said then balto put the blanket back on the box and they continued there conversations.
chapter two /the first taste.
several hours after dark jenna got up and said.
"well i think i will go home."
she started for the door fallowed by dixie star was just standing up when balto ushered him to sit then jenna spoke out.
"well balto are you coming."
"a...a jenna no i want to talk to star for a minute."
jenna shrugged her shoulders then walked out fallowed by dixie.
as soon as balto was sure they were gone he turned and stood up and walked over to the box.
"so balto you said you wanted to talk to me."
balto continued to pull the blanket off the box.
"balto what are you doing."
"i just want to see what it tastes like."
"no balto you cant jenna said it would ruin your life."
"she said it might."
balto pulled out a bottle and with his teeth pulled out the cork and spit the cork out
then balto smelled it then looked at star.
"you take the first drink star."
"no balto."
"well how about this I will take a drink then you take a drink how's that."
star reluctantly shook his head yes then balto put the end of the bottle in his mouth and took a big drink he then slammed it down and gave a sour liquor face balto then turned to star.
"ok now its your turn."
star slowly walked over and did the same thing he then slammed the bottle down and gave the same face.
"oh ...yuck...I don't see how something that disgusting could make you act so weird."
star said then balto shook his head yes.
twenty minutes later.
balto was laying on the floor laughing as hard as he could and on the other side of the room star was sitting down doing the same thing in the middle of the room was a empty bottle star and balto eventually managed to stop laughing for a minute then star spoke out.
"oh balto I think I better get home or dixie might get worried."
star stood up and started to walk but he fell on his face balto let out a gut bursting laugh as so did star they kept laughing all night.
chapter three /the hang over.
balto was laying down he was unconscious his breath still smelling of fire water he. slowly got to his feet his head felt like someone was pounding on it he looked around star. was on the other side of the room with his belly in the air balto then realized that the. sun was up he walked to the door and opened it the sun just made his head pound. even more balto started to walk home balto probably only made about ten feet out of the. room when he felt a strong feeling to throw up balto ducked behind a barrel and. continued to throw up after he threw up balto sat down and rested he didn't feel good at. all he eventually made it to his feet and soon he was home he stood at the back door he. was just about to go in when something came out it was jenna.
"balto where were you."
balto just stared into her eyes then jenna smelled her breath.
"gee balto what did you eat."
balto just stared at her then he spoke.
"I think I'm going to go to sleep ok."
balto passed her by and then walked inside and passed out before he got to the bed jenna. knew balto was acting weird but then she just thought he might of been sick.
then jenna headed off towards dixie when jenna was about half way there she saw dixie running down the sidewalk.
"hey dixie what's up."
dixie ran up frantic.
"when... I... woke up...this morning....star wasn't there."
jenna looked around.
"maybe he's at the boiler room."
jenna and dixie ran towards the boiler room when they made it to the ally they looked. down the ally to see star walking out stumbling dixie yelled to star.
"star over here."
star looked at her and then he threw up and then passed out in it jenna and dixie walked over to him.
"so jenna what's wrong with him."
"I don't know dixie but balto was the same way when i found him this morning."
dixie just shook her head yes.
"well come on dixie will you help me carry him to your house."
dixie shook her head yes then dixie and jenna took him to Dixie's.
chapter four/ another taste
balto was laying on the floor where he first collapsed this morning it was dark outside.
balto was awoken by someone nudging him he leaned over to see jenna looking at balto. dead in the eyes balto looked around and then turned to jenna.
"where am I."
"gee balto you must have been sick."
balto gave a curios face.
"balto you walked home."
balto thought for a second then he said.
"so jenna is tonight the night of the meeting."
jenna shock her head yes then turned to the door balto slowly got up and walked to the door he stopped at the door and rubbed his head then shook it and walked out the door. jenna was waiting right outside the door balto ran into her head first then jenna spoke up.
"balto why were you sick."
balto thought for another second then he looked at jenna in the eyes.
"I truly don't know why."
"well i just wondered because dixie and me went to find star and he seemed to be just as sick as you."
jenna and balto started to walk to the boiler room and when they got there star and dixie. were there star was leaning on dixie he looked fine but he just couldn't walk they greeted. each other and went in
balto sat down in just such a position as he could see the box with all the fire water in it. one tall dog stood up and started to talk balto didn't pay attention to him he just kept his. eyes on that box thinking of excuses to tell jenna so she will leave
balto then shook his head and looked at star he was looking at the box to balto knew he. was thinking the same thing as him suddenly someone started talking to balto.
"well balto what do you think he should do."
balto looked around then back at the dog.
"well I think he should face his fears."
all the dogs gasped at his answer.
"b...balto do you know what you are talking about."
"well, no I don't know, I wasn't paying attention."
the dog that was standing in front of him turned and asked the question again.
"who here thinks that bobby should run from his master?"
the dogs looked around then balto asked him.
"why should he run now?"
the dog that was sitting in front of him turned back around to balto.
"cause his master is about to put him down he is getting old."
"no no hell no."
balto said.
the conversations continued on for some time about this but eventually bobby decided to. run and he did right out the door all the dogs staid for a little while longer but soon. walked away to go home and to see there family until it was just balto jenna star and dixie jenna started to speak up.
"so balto are you coming home tonight."
"um yea i will but star and I were going to talk."
jenna shook her head yes reluctantly and walked away then balto turned and walked. inside the boiler room and closed the door so only star and dixie were there star turned to dixie.
"well balto wants to talk to me privately ok dixie."
dixie shock her head yes reluctantly and slowly trotted away as soon as dixie was out of. sight star bolted for the door he busted through the door and ran and grabbed the half. empty bottle off the floor and took a big drink of it balto was sitting in the corner smiling. drunkenly soon they were all drunk again balto was laughing again.
"hey star why don't we go find some one and tell them they look horrible."
balto said while laughing then star got up.
"ok, well lets go."
star said then they slowly got up and walked out the door stumbling and laughing all the way.
chapter five bad luck old chap
balto was laying on the floor of the boiler room balto could tell he was because of the. sound of the furnace balto yawned and spread his arms out he then felt something next to. him balto rubbed it he knew it wasn't star because it was to big then balto thought to himself.
"it must be jenna."
balto slowly opened his eyes to see a gray husky balto jumped to his feet.
"who are you."
the dog rolled over.
"I'm amber."
balto looked at her in shock.
"we didn't..."
"oh no you didn't but you kept bugging me about it and your little friend there kept bugging my sister."
balto looked over at star he was resting next to another gray husky.
then balto started to think out loud.
"ok,, well maybe jenna doesn't know about this,, so maybe I will be ok."
then the husky with balto spoke out.
"you mean that rust and cream colored husky."
balto looked at her in shock.
"how do you know jenna."
"well last night you two showed up laughing and acting stupid and you kept complementing us in a way then some husky showed up with her little friend and started asking what you were doing with us then she smelled your breath and then she kept talking about something called fire water and you got mad at her and beat her up but that dog with the spot on his eye came and fought you off and he took jenna home."
balto stood speechless looking at her and then he started to pace back and forth across the floor.
"oh no she is never going to be able to forgive me."
suddenly the door flew open balto looked out the door to see jenna balto thought fast and ran up to her.
"hi jenna."
just as balto was about a foot from her she lifted her paw and hit balto so hard that he flew back and crashed into the floor then jenna spoke out.
"how dare you try that stuff with me."
jenna yelled at balto, balto looked at her in a curios way.
"don't give me that face that I don't know what i did."
"but I don't know what i did."
just then dixie walked in behind jenna and looked at star in shock star had just started to wake up then jenna continued to yell at balto.
"i saw you with those two girls laughing and flirting i came up and i smelled that fire. water on your breath and you started to get mad at me and you kept trying to bight me. fortunately caltag was there to help me."
balto lowered his head then star woke up and looked right at dixie and gave out a childish. scream then quickly ran behind balto then jenna yelled out
"ok come in and get him."
just then two pit bulls came in and forced star and balto to walk as they were led to a. empty room near the boiler room dixie then yelled to star.
"well what kind of father are you."
star just stared at her as they were forced into a tool shed to await the other dogs to the trial.
inside balto told star what they had done and probably what would happen which would. be probably be thrown out of town for maybe a couple of weeks but star didn't pay any. attention to this all he cared about was his pups that would be hear soon he kept crying.
soon the pit bulls came back and escorted star and balto to the boiler room balto kept his. head lowered while he walked to the front of the room and sat down after sitting down he .looked around to see all his friend around he saw caltag he looked a little messed up and. then the judge started.
"ok balto it looks like you were drinking fire water."
all the dogs gasped.
"and then in a rage you tried to kill jenna, how do you plead."
balto thought for a second.
"guilty."
all the dogs gasped again then balto looked down at star who was trying to hold in his. tears.
"well this should be easy to decide."
the judge thought for a second and then spoke out.
"balto, star since you pleaded guilty to this crime i have no choice but to banish you for. no less then one year."
star eminently cried out will full fury and he kept saying to himself.
"no, no, this cant be, this must be a dream."
balto looked down on star and then thought.
"ok balto star do you have anything to say before sentence is final."
balto then raised his head with a tear rolling down his cheeks but he kept a strait face.
"yes i do."
all the dogs looked at him balto whipped the tears off his cheeks with his paw then. looked back at the judge and took a deep breath.
"i forced star to drink the stuff and i forced him to go with me i did it all."
all the dogs gasped again.
"well since you say that you did it and since I don't really want to send a new father out in. the cold,, star you are free to go but there will be a probation for five week,, but balto i am shocked at this and i have no choice."
balto lowered his head and looked at star who's tears had stopped.
"but to banish you for ever."
balto closed his eyes as tears slowly rolled down his cheeks.
"do you have anything to say before sentence is final."
just then star whispered to balto.
"balto what are you doing."
balto gave a forced smile.
"star after hearing that you will be a father i just cant see you suffer with me and i have. already had my chance as a father and I hope you will do a better job then me."
star smiled at balto then balto looked back at the judge.
"I have nothing to say."
all the dogs were in shock as balto stood proud with some tears in his eyes that slowly ran. down his face then the judge spoke out.
"ok,, start sentence."
then the two pit bulls came over and got on either side of balto and then led him out the. door and to the edge of town then they pushed balto down into the snow balto then. looked back at the two pit bulls walking away laughing and joking to themselves then balto stood up and said to himself.
"i will miss you."
chapter six/ friend or grave .
balto had been in the woods for six week by himself he had been looking for steel he. thought that he could make a friend to talk to on the long lonely days balto had only seen. steel a week ago he was probably half a mile away from balto but balto did yell to him. but steel just turned and ran into the woods.
but in town everything had returned to normal and stars probation had run out everyone. had forgotten balto except jenna and star they were the only ones who hadn't but back to balto.
balto was sitting out on a nearby hill watching town but he was mainly watching jennas. house balto felt that he did the right thing but also he thought of what he could of done. different but balto knew he couldn't do anything different so he didn't balto was hoping. for a friend as he laid in a hollowed out log that was cut down by loggers but then. cleaned out by bears balto had no friends boris had left for the south and the polar bears. had left for the north to find there mother balto was laying there trying to think of. something to do then a thought hit balto.
"well why don't I go find steel and ask him how he's been doing I have nothing else to do."
then balto stood up and started to walk away from his hollowed out log soon he came to a faint scent of steel balto knew it was steel balto put his head to the ground and started to. walk fallowing the scent balto couldn't wait for a friend to talk to balto kept putting his. head to the ground every ten seconds or so the trail was kind of old balto kept walking.
after a hour of walking and trying to find steel he soon smelled a horrible smell it smelled. like something dead balto lifted his head and looked for the soars of the smell. but he didn't see it balto made his way to the top of a small hill to get a better view. around the woods near him when balto got to the top of the small hill he took a big whiff. and a horrible smell went through his nostrils balto shock his head and then slipped down. the hill when balto landed at the bottom the smell was the most powerful balto stood up and looked around he didn't see anything then balto turned around and saw. steels dead rotting body balto jumped back and closed his eyes balto stared at steels dead. body he slowly turned around and started to walk home soon balto couldn't smell it. anymore balto was going to be all alone for the entire winter suddenly balto heard. something creeping through the bush right next to him balto started to growl and show. his teeth and slowly stuck his head in the bush then Balto's growling turned to a smile. balto looked in and he saw a coyote pup.
balto then said.
"hey there who are you."
the little pup responded with a small voice.
"hi, i,i was w,walking and i need help."
balto looked at the pup.
"so what do you need help with."
"can you h,help me f,find my parents."
balto then lifted his head to look around to see if he could see anyone then he put his. head back down in the bush.
"well I will see what i can do but what is your name."
"rocky."
the pup said proudly.
"well rocky my name is balto."
balto looked at the pup for a second.
"so do you want to come home with me."
the pup shock his head yes and then balto and the pup walked back to Balto's log then they sat there talking the pup was the first to speak.
"so why don't we go into town."
"well I cant go into town."
"why?"
"well I did some stuff I shouldn't of."
the pup shock his head yes then the sun started to set balto looked up at the sunlight. fading behind the ocean then balto looked up at the sky and a snowflake landed on his. face balto shock it off then he looked back up and then down as hundreds of snowflakes. fell on his face and shoulders then balto said.
"it looks like it is going to be a long winter."
then balto stood up and turned and said to the little pup.
"well come on lets go find your parents."
the end.
oh by the way I am going to do a sequel to this one.
