Steele's Love

It was Valentine's Day and all the neighborhood dogs werein the Boiler Room,exchanging gifts.Everyone but Steele had come.
" I feel kinda bad for him," Star said.
" Who wouldn't?" Dixie replied. " He's practically the only dog with no girlfriend."
Star shrugged and said, "Oh Well. Everybody has someone special out there. He'll find his match sooner or later."
The subject was discussed no more. Meanwhile, Steele was hanging around the Airport. He sat behind an old plane, chewing a bone. He was depressed. Suddenly he heard a noise. It sounded like someone was crying. He moved toward the sound. It was a lone female pug, hiding as Steele had been a little while earlier. He approached the greif-stricken pooch.
" What's wrong?" He asked softly.
She looked at him with her big brown eyes. In a Chinese accent, she answered, " I have no mate. Most dogs here are what the humans call huskies, and ever since we moved here, everyone teases about the way I look."
A moment of silence. " Look, I don't have a mate either. See, all the girls were taken while I got banished ." He paused to look at the pug. Her eyes sparkled, beckoning for him to continue. "You know, you're pretty cute. What's your name, and what kind of dog are you?"
She answered," My name is Jade. I am a Chinese Pug." They looked at each other for a minute.
Steele broke the silence. " Hey, you wanna hang out at my place for a little while?"
"Sure." As they walk towards Steele's house, talking and laughing, unknown to them, music starts to play in the background:
