Kiara
Kiara is Simba's headstrong daughter and the future queen. As a cub, she's mischievous, happy and independent.
Little Kiara doesn't want to be seen as "just the princess", because that's only half of who she is. She's not sure about the other half.
The little princess is guaranteed to steal hearts all over the world.

Kiara grows up to become a beautiful, wise and independent lioness. Her love for Kovu makes her realize that the differences between prides can be resolved without violence. She finally learns that deep inside, we are all the same.
Kiara Facts:
Kiara was going to have a younger sister, Shani, but the character never made it to the animation desk.

Kovu
Kovu is a very fluffy young cub, who was hand chosen by Scar to be the next king. He doesn't know how to play.
Zira fills his heart with hate, and teaches him that Simba is the enemy. But Kovu has a mind of his own.

As an adult, Kovu meets Kiara again, and with her, Kovu learns to love and to have fun. He also learns the truth about Scar.
Kovu Facts:
Kovu is not Scar's son. It's said in the movie several times.

Simba
Simba is the king of the Pride Lands. A very dedicated father, Simba tends to be a bit overprotective. When Kovu asks to join his pride, Simba faces a dilemma: how can he allow Kovu, Scar's heir, to join his pride?
Simba Facts:
Simba was supposed to die at the end of the movie. The scene was apparently cut out because it would have been to strong for young children.

Timon And Pumbaa
Timon and Pumbaa are Kiara's babysitters (although Pumbaa doesn't seem to understand the real meaning of baby sitting). They play a small but comic role in the movie.
Timon And Pumbaa facts:
Timon got tired of "Hakuna Matata", now he wants to have a new motto.

Zira
Zira, Scar's mate, wants revenge at any cost. She wants to take over the Pride Lands, and will stop at nothing. She will do anything to get what she wants. Even kill her own daughter.
Zira Facts:
Although it seems like she doesn't care about her son Nuka, you can see the pain in her heart when she looses him.

Nuka
Nuka is one of the most tragic and yet endearing characters in the Lion King universe, the born loser, the elder son passed over for kingship. A
hapless, scruffy goofball desperate for his mother's attention.*
Nuka Facts:
Nuka was originally a cub in Simba's Pride, but later he was redesigned to be an older character.
Voice: Andy Dick

Vitani
Vitani is Nuka's younger sister (and Kovu's older sister). She's Zira's lookout and most trusted child.

Vitani grows up to become a very intelligent lioness, who realizes quickly that war isn't going to change anything.
Vitani Facts:
Vitani's the only lioness in Simba's Pride that has whiskers.

Nala
Nala is Kiara's mother and queen of the Pride Lands. Unlike the first Lion King movie, Nala doesn't play a very important role in Simba's Pride.
Nala Facts:
For some reason, Nala's green eyes are blue in Simba's Pride.

Zazu
Zazu is the king's most trusted advisor. His part in Simba's Pride was not very important, unlike in the first Lion King movie.
Zazu Facts:
Zazu's original voice actor was not able to work on Simba's Pride.

Rafiki is the wise mandrill. He has a relatively important role in Simba's Pride.
