Mistakes and questions with and about the hyenas of The Lion King

First of all: I splitted the mistakes into three groups:

The animation mistakes are mistakes, that happened in the movie and are easily (or not quiet so easily) viewable.
Logic mistakes are the ones, which deal with some scenes ore actions, which don't seem to be possible - as Rafifki's climb on Pride Rock, to give an example.
The last group can't really be count as 'mistakes', because in 'The Lion King' the human emotions and true animal behaviors are mixed, so I wouldn't say it's really a mistake. I only count up, what they had to change, if it should be a biologic correct movie.

Animation Mistakes

The first one I noticed is on the Elephant's Graveyard. Just after Simba said "Oops." we see, that Shenzi rushes after the cubs and is behind them, when they climb the skull. Then the camera switches place and shows the scene from the top of the skull. Now it isn't Shenzi any more who's chasing the cubs, but Banzai!

The second one is in the "Mr.Pig"-scene. Shenzi and Banzai hunt Timon. When they sit in front of Zazu's cage, Shenzi is beside the cage and Banzai sits next to her. When Pumbaa comes in and challanges them, the two switched places.

Logic Mistakes

One is in the "Be Prepared"-scene. The end of the scene shows Scar and the hyenas, sitting on the rock. The moon is a crescent, with the thick end to the left side. But the story of TLK is set in Africa, near the equator, and there the moon thickens from bottom to top, not from left to right.
But I think nevertheless, that it looks better this way.

In the scene, where the three hyenas are alone in their cave, Shenzi contradicts herself. First she says "No wonder we're dangling on the bottom of the food chain." One line later, she says "If it weren't for those lions, we'd be runnin' the joint!" So what?

One, after my opinion very unlogical thing is, that Shenzi and Banzai let themseves frighten by a warthog. Look, TWO, very hungry  hyenas, with extremly sharp and strong teeth against ONE warthog? O.K., it's funny - maybe for the audience, the children. Pah!

And now, when we are talking about hunger: it's always said, that the hyenas are very hungry, bound to starve. Well, nevertheless they look very well-fed to me. I know that Walt Disney couldn't draw them being just bones and skin, but I think a hint more realistic.

And to Timon and Pumbaa: How could they escape the hyenas after their little Hula dance?

One big mistake is, that Mufasa keeps the hyenas off the Pride Lands - although he would need them for his Circle Of Life, hyenas keep the number of prey low enough, they are as necessary as the lions.

Mistakes with regard to real hyenas

First: Hyenas, especially the Spotted Hyena is definatly NOT a scavenger. Well, it's o.k. in the original "The Lion King", but in the german synchronisation, they always use the word "scavenger" or "carion" in regard to the hyenas. Nevertheless they scare off the wildebeests.

Well, I don't think I have to say that a real hyena would never stick to a lion, eh?

Hyenas are NOT dangling at the bottom of the food chain. They are part of the group of Africa's best hunters! And lions steal hyena's prey as often as they other way round.

Hyenas are not grey, they're kind of brown or beige, with darker spotts. Some of them look even redish. The best example of TLK is the scene when they hunt the wildebeests, they have brown fur then.

Hyenas don't slobber more than any other animal.
