Ahead of the pride, Libya and Bujumbura walked side by side. Libya wore a serious expression and not without good reason. Today, she's going to win her pride back. After several moments, the pride reached the end of the desert and beheld a rocky ground that leads to a land of grass. Libya then declared, "This is the border of my pridelands." Episode 13: "Victoria's Great Escape!" Lagos ran swiftly down the grasslands. He was headed toward the Garudians' homeland. He held something in his left arm. It was another Lion Orb! Lagos smiled deviously and soon made it into the gates of the Garudian palace. Inside the synagogue's throne room, a coffin with Ghana's body inside lied in front of Ghana's chair. Beside it, Victoria looked solemnly at Ghana's lifeless body and fondled his hand. Kissing his hand, Victoria only stared, destroyed. Then, her expression turned into a wild and insane one. She looked around the room and soon found a spear hanging over the Garudian birthmark carved in the wall. Victoria then walked to it. While she walked, she took off all her clothes and...She stopped in front of the spear and stared at it for several moments. Then, she grabbed the spear and pulled it off the wall. Furthermore, Victoria pointed the little arrow towards her and pulled the rod over her head. She has lost all meaning of life. She wanted to see Ghana again. She didn't want to stay another minute living in her hell. Victoria wants to die. "What are you doing?" Zhao appeared just in time to see Victoria, having a spear in her hands, ready to push it down inside her. Zhao walked to Victoria, but she backed away. "Stay back, otherwise...!" Victoria threatened. Zhao only sat down and rolled his eyes. "Go ahead. You can kill yourself if you want," Zhao said. "What?" "I don't care if you want to see your Ghana again. I just find it sad to break down like that over your lover. But, maybe Ghana wants it like that, so I won't stop you." Victoria then started to cry again, dropped the spear, and fell to her knees sobbing. Zhao then walked in front of Victoria and placed his paw on her shoulder. "Look, if this war didn't involve me, I swear it wouldn't be this way. But, this is a simple game that I must win. You have to understand that. If you were going to act this way, you shouldn't have gotten involved yourself. You've gotten yourself into this, so live it out." As Victoria continued to sob, she looked to Zhao, knowing he was right. Victoria nodded, barely keeping herself. Zhao then started to leave. "Now, get dressed and have your party get us some food," he said. Then, Zhao exited the throne room. Victoria, with her clothes over her arms, looked at Ghana's corpse again, still crying but with a smile. "That's right; you would want be to live. Right, Ghana?" Victoria said. Then, Victoria walked out the room, putting her clothes back on. Then, she closed the door, leaving Ghana in the dark... As Zhao walked the corner of the hallway, he heard Lagos calling down the hall to him. "Zhao!!" Zhao then sees Lagos running to him with a Lion Orb! "Well done, Lagos! Now, we have two of the Lion Orbs," Zhao praised. Lagos padded to Zhao and stopped to put the orb down to the floor. Zhao smiled and placed her paw on the orb. "I knew you wouldn't fail me, Lagos," Zhao again praised. "I never do, your majesty," Lagos replied. "Rest yourself and prepare for the feast we're to have." "Yes, your majesty." Meanwhile, at an island in the middle of the sea, Madagascar, Mohatu walked through the large woods. Pushing through vines and limbs of trees, he emerged with few scratches that bleed mildly. After breaking through the woods. Mohatu then stopped in front of a cave. Mohatu sighed as he stared into it. "So, this is the cave?" he thought to himself. Then, he slowly remembered an old story... ...20 years ago, in the same island Mohatu was on, a partially wounded Madagascar and Lina made it to a cave. "Lina, is this the Cave of Madagascar?" Madagascar asked. "Yes. This special cave was used by great warriors of the past. Legend has it that while you train inside this cave, you can spend a year's time inside but a day's time past outside in the real world," Lina explained. "Incredible," Madagascar awed. "Now, hurry and get in. We need to finish training inside to help us," Lina declared. "Right, I know. Wish me luck." Madagascar and Lina nuzzled each other lovingly one last time until Madagascar walked inside the cave with eyes filled with fire... ...Mohatu looked toward the cave with the same fire in his eyes as his uncle. "I'll see if that part of the story is true in one year," Mohatu thought. Then, Mohatu proceeded inside the cave to begin his special training... ***********************Eyecatch 21: Prince of the Gold Lions, Mohatu************************** ***********************Eyecatch 15: Lord of the Garudians, Ghana***************************** Back at the Garudians' homeland, Victoria walked down the halls with Cairo. "Victoria, why didn't you want to eat?" Cairo asked. Victoria looked to Cairo solemnly and answered, "I wasn't hungry." Cairo looked at Victoria worriedly and stopped in front of her. "Victoria, please don't let it get to you," Cairo pleaded. "Don't let it ruin who you are." Cairo then hugged Victoria, crying. Victoria looked to Cairo and slowly felt bad making him cry. Cairo rubbed his head in Victoria's chest and continued to cry. Then, Victoria gently pushed him away. "Stop crying. You're acting like a child," Victoria said. Cairo continued to pout and bowed his head. "You can't be Victoria," he murmured. Victoria was without words and looked away in an awkward manner. Mali then ran from the throne room in serious panic. Then, he found Victoria and Cairo walking towards the room. Mali never felt so relieved to find Victoria. "Victoria! Victoria!" Mali then stopped and grabbed Victoria's hand. "Come and see this! Hurry!" Mali exclaimed. "What is it?" Victoria asked, annoyed. "It's Ghana's body! It's..." Then, Victoria pulled her hand away from Mali and turned away. "Don't talk to me about Ghana. Just leave me alone," Victoria said coldly. "Victoria, acting stupid like that isn't like you at all. Now, listen. He's gone!" "I know he's gone! Quit reminding me!" Victoria shouted. Suddenly, before Victoria could say anymore, Mali slapped her hard to the floor! Victoria felt her wound and looked to Mali. He only gave her a disappointed expression, the same expression Cairo gave her before. Then, Victoria got up and bowed her head to Mali. "I'm sorry; I was unreasonable. Now, what were you saying?" Victoria apologized. "Like I was saying, Ghana's body is gone!" Mali said. "He's not in his coffin!" Victoria then replied with a shocked expression. "What did you say?!" she cried. Victoria, Mali, and Cairo ran into the throne room urgently. Victoria ran to the coffin in front of Ghana's chair. She gasped as she realized that Ghana's body was gone! As Mali and Cairo walked behind her, Victoria felt upon the bed softly. "How can this be?" she whispered. "I know, it's strange," Mali added. "All I know is that the tigers couldn't have moved his body somewhere else. We would know if they did." "Could that mean what I think it means?" Cairo wondered. Then, Victoria smiled gently, showing her divine gentleness once again. "Yes, Cairo," she murmured. "I was so foolish to believe that I lost my beloved Ghana. I'm so stupid." "What are you talking about?" Mali wondered. "This bed is recently disturbed, like someone sat up in it. My Ghana's alive," Victoria answered. Mali wore a surprised expression and looked at Victoria like she was crazy. "Victoria, are you sure? Are you sure you're not in denial?" he wondered. "No. Finally, I can see straight; I see the light. Ghana is alive and I'm going to find him. I'll even submit myself in severe bondage in forgiveness for not believing in him." Then, Victoria ran past Mali and Cairo to the door. Then, she stopped to look toward the boys. "Mali, I ask that you seal this door away from the tigers so they don't realize Ghana's gone. And Cairo, you be sure to tell the others about this," she ordered. "What will you do?" Cairo asked. "I'm going to steal the Lion Orbs and run away to find Ghana." "You can't be serious!" Mali cried. "The tigers will notice this. If you run away, they'll kill you!" "They won't kill me, because I don't intend to die. Please, do this for me. Besides, even though the tigers control us, I'm still your beloved empress and you must do as I say." Cairo nods in agreement. "Let's do it!" he declared to Mali. Mali looked to him and reluctantly nodded back. Victoria smiled. Down another hallway, there was a tiger guard inside a door. Inside with him were the two Lion Orbs, sparkling brightly, sitting on a blue pillow propped up on a small pillar. Locked in a very impressive style, the tiger looked outside through the barred-up window to see Sahara walking by with a strap around her wounded right arm. As Sahara walked by, the tiger growled coyly. "You aren't planning anything, are you?" he wondered. "No, sir," Sahara answered agitatedly. Sahara then went on her way. Then, she heard a voice behind her. "Oh, wait, I was kidding before. In fact, I plan to break in here and smash your face in." Sahara looked behind her to see Victoria against the wall and beside the door, using Sahara's tone of voice! "What did you say?!" the tiger guard replied. "You heard me. Come out here if you're so tough! If you show me that you're not as weak as you sound, maybe I'll let you have your way with my body. But, it's to laugh that you think you can beat me. Why else are you a simple guard?" Victoria continued, playing on the guard's emotions. "You...! How dare you mock me like that!" the guard shouted angrily. The guard then opened the door and glared at Sahara. "You are MINE!" he snarled. But, before he could run at Sahara, Victoria quickly slammed the door against him. Nearby, Zhao heard a faint sound. As he raised his head, Zaire walked to him, also curious about the sound. "Zhao, was that...?" Zaire wondered. Zhao snarled as he sensed something was happening. Victoria stood as she held the handle of the door. Then, she opened it again and looked in. The tiger guard was knocked out cold from the harsh impact of the door. Victoria stepped in to see the Lion Orbs. Victoria then grabbed the two Lion Orbs and ran back out the door. Before she could run down the hall, Sahara halted her. "Victoria, what do you think you're doing?" she demanded. "Cairo will tell you everything," Victoria answered. "I must escape now to gain back our homeland." Then, Victoria started off, but Sahara ran in front of her. Then, Sahara raised her good arm and shot an energy blast through the ceiling. Victoria looked surprised at Sahara's actions. "I know you wish that our home doesn't sustain one dent, but if you must escape, you must make sacrifices. Go now!" Sahara said. "Thank you, my sister," Victoria replied, smiling. Victoria then flew through the ceiling, finding herself outside. Victoria frowned and proceeded to fly away. Then, an energy blast was shot at her. It struck Victoria in the right arm! After it struck her, she dropped one of the Lion Orbs. Crying in pain, Victoria flew to the ground. She landed on the ground on her knees, still holding one Lion Orb in her left arm. The other Lion Orb dropped to the ground at a distance from Victoria. Victoria looked back and murmured, "The Lion Orb." As she stood back up, Victoria started off to get the Lion Orb. But, another energy blast was shot at her. After Victoria quickly dodged the blast, she sees a large group of tigers running toward her. Zhao was leading them, wearing an angered expression. Victoria then ran off, leaving the Lion Orb that was lost to her behind. "Come back, you fool!" Zhao roared. "Do you want to die?!" Victoria continued running, ignoring Zhao's calls. Snarling, Zhao roared to his tigers. "Everyone, have no mercy. She is not to leave this place alive," Zhao ordered. The tigers roared to confirm that message. Then, the tigers ran faster, gaining on Victoria fast. As she ran, Victoria thought of what Sahara said before, "...if you must escape, you must make sacrifices..." Victoria then nodded in agreement and stopped running. She faced the charging tigers to fight her way to freedom. Victoria then laid down the Lion Orb beside her and pointed her left arm towards the Silver-Striped Tigers. Then, after a great cry, she fired an energy beam. The beam trailing across the ground and exploded in front of the tigers. Back at the Garudian synagogue, the Garudians watched Victoria's fight. Cairo grunted and looked to all of them. "Why are standing around for watching? We must help her!" Cairo suggested. The Garudians already realized that and nodded in agreement to Cairo. The tigers scrambled and continued after Victoria. They shot energy beams out their throats at her. Victoria continued to run with the Lion Orb while energy beams exploded all around her. "You can't escape!" one tiger declared. "Die!!" others added. Victoria tried to shoot energy shots of her own at the tigers while she ran. Some blasts strayed away from the tigers and others made a direct hit, either stunning or killing them on impact. Zhao growled and shot a beam that struck Victoria in the right arm again. Victoria fell to the ground, stunned by the attack. Zhao smiled as he and the tigers were close to recapturing Victoria. But, before Zhao could fully reach her, a raining barrage of energy fell upon the tigers, distracting them. Victoria stood back up and looked to see all the Garudians firing energy on the tigers to save Victoria. "Oh, thank you, everyone," Victoria murmured. Then, she ran off again. The Garudians continued their barrage on the tigers as Victoria finally found the opportunity to fly away. Zhao roared, "YOU FOOLS!!!" Then, he gathered enough energy to fire a huge energy blast at the Garudians. The blast hits the synagogue, forcing the Garudians away, screaming. The synagogue was completely destroyed. As Victoria made it to the gate, she landed and faced the tigers running after her. "You leave me no choice," Victoria declared. Victoria then proceeded to gather energy from within. A holy star symbol appeared under Victoria and beams of light shone around her. Victoria held up her left arm while holding the Lion Orb around her wounded right arm. A ball of light appeared in her palm. Then, after 3 power surges, the ball grew to 50 meters in diameter. Lightning sparked from the huge power ball. "Hourei Mandala!" The ball then flew at the tigers. Zhao's eyes widened in surprise as the incoming ball flew at them. "Watch out!" Zhao roared. With that, the ball exploded, creating a huge energy wave that spreaded across the land, consuming the tigers and several houses... ...As the energy flowed behind her, Victoria walked away triumphantly. "You were right, Sahara. I must make more sacrifices," she thought. Then, she continued to walk away with the Lion Orb. Suddenly, an energy beam shot from the ruined Garudian homeland and pierced Victoria through her back and out her gut! As blood flowed from her mouth, Victoria fell to the ground. Then, suddenly, Zhao appeared and stood above the wounded Victoria. "You are such a fool. Running away because of your own angst of losing Ghana. Now, you lost Ghana's body in the destroyed synagogue because of your insubordination," Zhao murmured. Then, he raised his paw, ready to strike Victoria. Then, suddenly, a beam was shot through Zhao! Zhao gasped and fell over, nearly dead. Victoria's eyes slowly opened. Victoria realized that she was still alive and that someone was carrying her. The Lion Orb was in her lap. "Where am I?" she murmured solemnly. "In my arms once again, my love," someone answered. Victoria gasped as she recognized that voice. She looked up to see that the one who was carrying her is...Ghana!! Victoria stared in amazement to see that he was really alive. "Ghana, is that you?" she whispered. "Of course," Ghana answered. "Ghana, deep inside my heart, I never lost hope in you." "I know. I'm sorry I worried you so..." "Forget it. I just want you to remember this." "What?" "You're were always my one and only," Victoria whispered in a sultry tone of voice. "And you mine," Ghana whispered back seductively. Then, with the Lion Orb glowing brightly between them, Ghana and Victoria met in an embrace, after long last... to be continued... However, Libya, thought to be dead, recruits her cousin, Bujumbura's, pride to battle Kiaos' recruits, the Shadowlanders. Meanwhile, the Silver-Striped Tigers conquered the Garudians. But, Victoria, realizing that Ghana lives, escapes her home... Episode 14: "One Lion Orb to Go!" Later, at a mountainous region, Victoria rested up inside a cave with the Lion Orb beside her, caring for her wound. Ghana then walked in and sat next to Victoria. "How's your wound?" he asked. "It's coming around," Victoria answered. As she kept rubbing her wet cloth against her wound, Victoria looked to Ghana. "Ghana, how did...how did you survive Zhao's attack? We really thought you...," she asked. "It'll take more than that to take me out. I held back my power from the beginning," Ghana explained. "I faked my death to fool Zhao and distracted him from possible rebellion of the Garudians since it's not our nature. So, I found the opportunity to sneak out of the synagogue and search for the remaining Lion Orbs." "I see. Did you find one?" Ghana smiled and pulled from under his cloaks another Lion Orb! He placed it next to Victoria's Lion Orb and they both glowed brightly. "Now, we have two. Zhao has the other Lion Orb, and the Gold Lions have one as well," Ghana said. "Now, there are two more out there." Meanwhile, at Firerock Mountain, Kiaos and Kinshasa looked from the promontory. "Kiaos, what should we do next?" Kinshasa asked. "We should conquer the Silver-Striped Tigers first since they're the toughest to beat. Then, we'll easily take the Garudians," Kiaos answered. "The war is nearly over. And once we find the remaining Lion Orbs, our greatest desire for domination will be our prize." Kinshasa grinned evilly and chuckled. Then, she looked to see something. "Kiaos, what's that heading here?" Kiaos looked to where Kinshasa was staring. A figure was heading towards them, but it was a very foggy afternoon so it's hard to see. Kiaos' eyes adjusted to see farther, but he still wasn't sure who it was. Then, the figure revealed to be someone familiar. Kiaos and Kinshasa gasped, "It can't be!" Sure enough, the figure was...Libya! Libya walked alone towards her kingdom. Kiaos growled in disbelief. "How can she still be alive?" he wondered. "Impossible. I put everything I had in that blast," Kinshasa added. "She should be dead!" "No matter. I'll kill her myself; she's alone anyway." "Wait. What's that?" Then, as Libya kept walking, Bujumbura's large pride emerged from the fog and followed Libya. Kiaos and Kinshasa gasped in terror. The Gold and Black Lions spotted Libya and the pride and murmured along with their clan. The Gold Lions were ecstatic. "It's Queen Libya! She's alive!" one lioness said. "We're saved! Hooray!" The Gold Lions cheered happily. Libya and the pride then made it to the main grasslands of the kingdom and stopped before it. Libya roared, "Kiaos, I'm here to win back my home!" Kiaos leapt from the promontory and confronted Libya, growling. "So, you're still alive, dear sister," Kiaos snarled. "Yes. Now, leave my home, traitor," Libya replied sternly. Kinshasa leapt to Kiaos' side and chuckled. "I'm afraid we can't do that. Even if you did live through my hell, we've won your home." "I know. I was giving you a choice: leave my home unharmed or return to Demon's Gorge covered in blood. My clan and Bujumbura's pride will match your clan and the Shadowlanders." "Fool. Be warned; even with your new recruits, you are no match for us," Kinshasa snarled. Bujumbura stepped next to Libya and chuckled. "You are being foolish, little Kinshasa," he said. "You're only kidding yourself if you think you could match the pride of the Rainlands." "What? How dare you mock me? How dare you call me 'little!'" "Calm down, Kinshasa," Kiaos said. Kinshasa then growled and stopped talking. Kiaos then looked toward Libya in determination. "Well, let's battle," he murmured. "Once this battle's over, the winner will keep this land, but each clan's recruits will return home no matter who the winner is," Libya replied. "Agreed." Then, after a deep growl from Kiaos, he roared, "Black Lions, Shadowlanders, attack!" Each of the Black Lions and Shadowlanders roared in confirmation. "Gold Lions, join us!" Bujumbura roared. "Rainlanders, attack!" The Rainlanders roared with Bujumbura and attacked the Black Lions and Shadowlanders. Libya leapt to all the Gold Lions at the side of Firerock Mountain. "We're so glad to see again," Congo said. "Nice to see you all too," Libya replied. "Where's Mohatu?" Many of the Gold Lions cringed at Libya's question. But, Congo told the truth. "Kiaos took him away from us," he said. Libya wore a sad expression and murmured, "I see." Libya then looked towards the battle by them. "I won't forgive them," she growled. "Gold Lions, attack!" After Libya ran towards the battle, the Gold Lions roared and ran after her into the battle. The battle for Firerock Mountain waged on. The Gold Lions and the Rainlanders fought against the Black Lions and the Shadowlanders. The Gold Lions finally took revenge on the Black Lions by tearing each of them apart. Three Gold Lions assaulted two Black Lions with biting and clawing. Nearby, a Shadowlander bit a Rainlander under her neck, but the Rainlander broke from the Shadowlander and clawed her into the ground. Zambia scratched and pawed a Black Lion like crazy, then she knocked out a charging Shadowlander. A Shadowlander slapped a Gold Lion across her jaw, sending her spinning to the ground. Libya fought her way through the battle. She knocked away each Black Lion and Shadowlander in her way, enduring pain along the way. She didn't stopped until she found Kiaos fighting off Congo. "Kiaos!" she roared. Kiaos pawed Congo to the ground and looked towards Libya. "You're mine!" Kiaos roared. Then, he pounced on Libya and clawed at her, but Libya slapped him away, got on her feet, and was locked in a merciless catfight with Kiaos. Meanwhile, as the sun started to set at the horizon of Madagascar, the Cave of Madagascar's opening sparked with lightning. Mohatu was heard, yelling in the cave. His sustained yell created more lightning, and the lightning sparkled about and exploded on the ground, bringing up sandy dust. Then, after a small but loud explosion in the cave opening, the yell stopped. The wind blew the sand dust away and a paw stepped out. A bloody, but larger in physical appearance, Mohatu had emerged. He looked stronger than ever. His physical structure bulked up and he's grown up in size and age as well. In silent purring, Mohatu walked away from the cave. After several moments, he reached the border of the island. He looked towards the ocean and ahead of him. "It's time," he growled. Then, in a sudden burst of energy, Mohatu flew into the air and across the ocean like a rocket. Mohatu was heading home. ***********************Eyecatch 10: Kiaos, the King of the Black Lions************************* ***********************Eyecatch 12: Caprivi, the Lion of Battle Tactics************************* Meanwhile, at the ruined Garudian homeland, all the Garudians see that the tigers were unconscious from Victoria's blast. "Everyone, let's leave now. It's time for us to escape as well," Mali ordered. The Garudians agreed and they all ran away and soon flew to the sky and disappeared in the distance. After a few moments, the Silver-Striped Tigers woke up and got up on their feet one by one. Zaire looked around and growled. "Victoria's such a fool. Look what has happened," she murmured. She looked to each of the tigers until she saw that one was missing. "Zhao? Zhao, where are you?" she wondered. Nearby, Zhao still lied on the ground, seriously wounded and unable to move. "Zhao!" Zaire and the Silver-Striped Tigers ran to Zhao and surrounded him while Zaire nudged him. "Zhao, are you okay?" she pleaded. Then, Zhao woke up and grunted in pain as he rose to his feet. After he almost fell to the ground again, Zhao held Zaire for support. "Ghana...Ghana is alive," Zhao murmured. The tigers gasped and wondered at what Zhao said. "Are you sure?" Zaire asked. "Yes. He shot me. I underestimated him," Zhao answered. "Where are the Garudians?" "They're gone. Their home is ruined as well. But, we still have one Lion Orb." "At least we have one more left. Let's get back to Limestone Mountain. We've overstayed our welcome here," Zhao chuckled. "Yes. Bambari, carry Zhao the way there!" Zaire ordered. "Yes, your majesty," Bambari answered. As Bambari got Zhao to ride his back, the Silver-Striped Tigers left for Limestone Mountain. Back at Firerock Mountain, the battle continued. The Gold Lions and the Rainlanders are slowly getting the upper paw. Most of the Black Lions are beaten, as well as the Shadowlanders. The Rainlanders concentrated on beating the Shadowlanders. Some even ganged up on one single Shadowlander. The Rainlanders tore apart and clawed the Shadowlanders until Kinshasa was the only one left. Bujumbura battled with her. They clawed and scratched at each other repetitively. Their fangs bared at one another and blood flew from their wounds and scars. Then, after Kinshasa missed Bujumbura after she lunged at him, Bujumbura took a massive swing at Kinshasa. He landed that incredible blow across Kinshasa's face and knocked her out. The Shadowlanders were defeated. "I told you, you and your clan can never match the pride of the Rainlands," Bujumbura boasted proudly. With the Shadowlanders out of the battle, the Black Lions slowly started to drop like flies. The Black Lions were either knocked out, assaulted upon the enemy, flung into stones, slammed against the ground, or passing out due to the inflicted pain from their wounds. Kiaos roared as he pawed Libya across the face. Libya roared back and head-butted Kiaos in the nose. Kiaos recovered and sunk his fangs in Libya's back. Crying in pain, Libya grabbed Kiaos' tail with her mouth, pulled him away, and followed up with a slap in the face. Libya and Kiaos grabbed each other and rolled around on the ground. They growled and bit and clawed at each other. Then, Libya got her feet under Kiaos' belly and pushed him over her. Kiaos landed on his back but quickly got on his feet. Suddenly, after he stood up, Libya pawed Kiaos hard in the jaw. Kiaos backed away, cringing in pain. Huge drops of blood fell to the ground. Kiaos held his wound, whimpering because of the pain. Kiaos then growled ferociously and let down his paw to reveal a huge patch of blood on the side of his muzzle. Libya had broken the side of Kiaos' jaw in one great blow! "Damn you, you little...!" Kiaos cursed. "Look what you done to my face!" Libya only growled sternly and kneeled down, ready to attack again. Kiaos looked to see the Black Lions being beaten very badly. They had no chance, he thought. Then, in fake confidence, Kiaos smiled coyly. "Well, Libya, you've won this fight," he said. Libya cocked an eyebrow, suspicious of Kiaos' next action. Then, Kiaos, enduring the pain from his broken jaw, roared for the Black Lions to cease. The Black Lions, without any real choice, backed off from the enemy. The Gold Lions and the Rainlanders stopped attacking as well. Kinshasa and some of the Shadowlanders regained consciousness and sees that the battle is over. Kiaos bowed his head to Libya. "You won this battle. Your land is yours again. The Lion Orb is yours. Your pride is yours," Kiaos surrendered. Libya grinned and stood up to sheath her claws. "Well, leave, Kiaos, and take your pride with you. As for the Shadowlanders, they have nothing to do with you anymore, as well as the Rainlanders. Any double-crossing and you lose the war," Libya ordered. Kiaos nodded and looked to Kinshasa. "Your assistance was a great help, but now you are no longer needed, Kinshasa," Kiaos said. "I won't forget this," Kinshasa snarled. "I'll have my revenge someday, Libya." Kinshasa roared and the remaining Shadowlanders carried the wounded and proceeded to leave the pridelands. Kinshasa followed them, but stopped to look back. "I'll see you later after the war, Kiaos," Kinshasa weakly smiled. "And you, Bujumbura, we must fight again someday." Then, Kinshasa proceeded to follow her lionesses. Bujumbura grinned, "I look forward to it, Kinshasa." As the Shadowlanders left the pridelands, Libya looked towards Kiaos and the weakened Black Lions. "Now, for you. Leave," Libya demanded. "We will, but the war isn't over yet. We'll be back," Kiaos snarled back. Then, Kiaos roared for his Black Lions. Answering to the call, they began to leave to Demon's Gorge once again. Rwanda ran to Kiaos' side and wondered, "What if Libya decides to keep the Rainlanders around?" "Do not worry; Libya's true to her word. She'll have them leave," Kiaos said. Then, Kiaos and the Black Lions left the pridelands as well. Libya smiled with pride. The Gold Lions cheered happily. They have won back their freedom. Bujumbura walked to Libya. "Well, we should be going, Libya," he said. "I know. Thank you for everything," Libya praised. "I owe you." Libya and Bujumbura head-nuzzled tenderly, saying 'goodbye.' "May our paths cross again," Bujumbura said. "Everyone, let's move!" Bujumbura roared and the Rainlanders started off to leave the pridelands. Luanda went to Libya and they both hugged tightly. "Keep in touch," Luanda said. "I will. And you continue to trust in your lover," Libya replied. Luanda nodded and ran to Bujumbura's side. The king and queen were followed by their followers as Libya and the Gold Lions happily watched them go. "So, they're the legendary pride of the Rainlands," Congo awed. "They have awesome strength," Zambia commented. "And we haven't seen them use elemental manipulation yet." "I hope we see them again real soon," Maseru added. "We will, Maseru," Libya said. "Mark my words; we will." Meanwhile, the Garudians flew in a large and single group, lead by Mali and Sahara. "Where could Ghana and Victoria be?" Mali wondered. Then, Sahara looked at a nearby mountain and sees two figures down there. "Ghana! Victoria! They're over there!" Sahara cried. Mali looked down to see Ghana and Victoria waving at them to get their attention with the two Lion Orbs with them. "Your majesties!" he exclaimed. The Garudians cried at Ghana and Victoria down below, all finally reunited. At Limestone Mountain, as the Lion Orb rested in the den, Zaire nursed Zhao as he looks at the Lion Orb. "What should we do next?" he thought. As he slowly forgot about that for the moment, Zhao rolled on his back. "Zaire, let me take you," he purred. Zaire purred lovingly and nuzzled into Zhao's tough chest. As the tigers embraced, the Lion Orb started to glow. At Demon's Gorge, the Black Lions sat every place, discouraged at their defeat. Kiaos only cared about healing his wound by drenching it in water and caring for it. "King...Kiaos...," someone murmured weakly behind him. "Leave me be," Kiaos snarled. Kiaos looked behind himself and gasped at what he saw. It was Caprivi! He was still alive! Not only that, he held another Lion Orb with him! "Caprivi! What happened?" Kiaos wondered. Caprivi was too weak to answer and fell to he ground, dropping the Lion Orb. Kiaos placed his paw on the Lion Orb and smiled maliciously. "Yes! We're still in the game," he chuckled arrogantly. Then, Caprivi weakly murmured, "Kiaos..." Kiaos looked toward Caprivi curiously. As the Lion Orb glowed, Caprivi murmured, "Kiaos...,Mohatu...Moha...tu...is..." Back at Firerock Mountain, as she held the Lion Orb in her arms, Libya looked at it sadly. "Mohatu, have I really lost you too?" she wondered. Then, a tear welled in her left eye. As she continued to softly sob, at the ocean, Mohatu continued to race across the ocean, determined to get home quickly... to be continued... Episode 15: "The Showdown That Decides Fate" In Firerock Mountain's den, Libya lied on the ground with the Lion Orb in front of her belly. Then, Zambia walked in the den, looking at Libya sympathetically. "What's wrong, your majesty?" she wondered. Zambia walked to Libya and lied down in front of her. "Your majesty, please speak to me. What's wrong? You can tell me; you trust me the most, don't you?" Then, Zambia placed her head under Libya's chin and nuzzled her softly. Then, after Zambia licked Libya from her neck to her chin, Libya sighed, "This war takes away many precious lives." "I see. I understand," Zambia whispered. "Why did this war have to take him away from me?" "Libya, don't let it get to you. Cheer up; at least try." Then, Zambia crawled closer to Libya and wrapped her arm around her. Libya looked at Zambia with wet eyes. "Please don't worry. While fate deals us a bad hand, somewhere in that hand is a wild card. Something good will come out of this if you just believe in it," Zambia encouraged. Libya finally smiled gently at Zambia. Zambia then licked the tears from Libya's eyes and met with her in a head nuzzle. "Thank you, Zambia. You was always like a sister to me...one I never had," Libya said. Then, Congo suddenly ran in the den in a panic. "Libya! Come outside quickly!" he cried. Libya and Zambia got up and ran outside with Congo. Outside the den of Firerock Mountain, Libya and Zambia looked up to see something very surprising. "It's..." Zambia murmured. A huge group was flying in the sky toward them. It was the Garudians! Ghana and Victoria waved from above to the lions below. "Lord Ghana! Victoria!" Libya exclaimed. "Why are they here, I wonder?" Zambia added. As the lions wondered, the Garudians landed on the land in front of Firerock Mountain. Ghana stepped forward and smiled at Libya. "Libya, this war will end tonight!" he declared. "Huh? What do you mean?" Libya wondered. Later, inside Firerock Mountain, Libya, Ghana, and Victoria were inside Firerock Mountain's den. The three Lion Orbs they have were in a corner as they talked. "So, we have three now," Libya said. "Yes, and the tigers have the other Lion Orb we had," Ghana said. "So, there's two left out there?" Libya asked. "No; only one. I sensed the power of another Lion Orb at Demon's Gorge. So, somehow, they have one." Libya wondered in confusion. Why would they leave a Lion Orb at Demon's Gorge unguarded while they were here, she thought. Then, she suddenly thought of something and smiled in understanding. "I see. Caprivi wasn't around here when we claimed my land back; he must've found it," Libya said. "So, there is one more out there." "Yes. Tonight will be the final battle. We'll have to invite the Black Lions and the Silver-Striped Tigers to the location of the final Lion Orb and whoever gets the last Lion Orb wins the war," Ghana explained. "But, how will they know?" "They should be able to sense a large group like us a lot easier than we are alone. They'll follow us for sure. But, we have to win this war. So, this will be our battle plan." At Demon's Gorge, Kiaos rested on a rock, all alone while all the Black Lions rested outside. He had his face buried in his crossed arms. Uganda looked out the den and found Kiaos. With a straight face, Uganda walked in front of Kiaos, lifted his right paw, and nudged Kiaos' arm. "You awake?" Uganda asked. Kiaos didn't answer. Then, Uganda smiled and turned his back. "Are you crying?" Uganda chuckled. Kiaos then raised his head with tearful eyes. Uganda chuckled at the sight and turned back around. "I thought so. But, I can't blame you. My pride was hurt back there," Uganda said. "It's not that," Kiaos said coarsely. "Then, what's wrong?" "Personal problems. You don't need to know that." "Hey, you're the boss!" Uganda said friendly-like. "Just hold on a bit more, all right? We'll be waiting for our next plan." Then Uganda padded off while Kiaos looked at him weird. "Odd. He didn't like me that much before," Kiaos murmured. After Uganda walked back into the den, Kiaos half-smiled and lied back down. "Right. I'll hold on a bit longer. But, I just about had it with this war," Kiaos thought. Then, Kiaos' ears perked. Kiaos stood back up, sensing something. His wet eyes glittered as he feels a possible outcome of this force. "Could that be...?" Kiaos thought. Meanwhile, at Limestone Mountain, Zhao and Zaire nuzzled together lovingly. "Do you feel better now?" Zaire asked. "We can try again?" Zaire rubbed Zhao's arm with her paws gently. "No, it's okay," Zhao murmured. Zaire sighed and licked Zhao's muzzle passionately. Zhao looked at Zaire. "We can make love all day," Zhao whispered. "But, I'll never stop hating this war." "Is just being with you enough?" Zhao looked to Zaire who had gleaming, loving eyes. Zhao sighed and faced Zaire deep into her eyes. "I feel like running away," Zhao whispered solemnly. "I can't stand my home anymore." "You can't give up now," Zaire answered sympathetically. "We came so far. Zhao, listen to me." Zaire then walked away and looked to the sky. Zhao watched her sadly. "I feel something. I can even sense it in the wind," Zaire said. "You must feel it. If you haven't, you are close-minded." "What do you mean, Zaire?" Zhao wondered. "Peace." "Peace?" "Yes. I can feel it teasing me all over. It's telling me that peace is right here in front of us. We just need to find it. Can't you help me find it?" Zhao walked next to Zaire and looked to the air with her. Zhao finally smiled. "Yes. You're right. You always were," Zhao admitted. Zaire giggled and nuzzled Zhao's shoulder. Then, Zhao's ears perked. Zhao then smiled and looked to Zaire. "Did you feel that, my love?" he asked. "Yes, darling. Let's go," Zaire answered. As the night sky started to overshadow the land, the Gold Lions and the Garudians walked through the windy meadow. Ghana was leading the way with Libya while Victoria, Mali, and Congo each held a Lion Orb. "We're getting closer," Ghana said. "You can sense it, right?" "Yes," Libya answered. Then, Libya looked in the sky. There, in the clouds, she sees an image of Mohatu. With a sorrowful face, Libya thought, "Mohatu, are you watching over me up there? Oh, Mohatu, I wish we could have...could have..." Zambia walked next to Libya and got her attention. "What's wrong, your majesty?" Zambia asked. "Huh? Oh, nothing," Libya sighed. Congo walked with the Lion Orb. Then, Maseru caught up with Congo. "Do you really think this war will end tonight?" Maseru asked. "It depends. But, I have faith that it will end after the incoming battle. If we can bring all six Lion Orbs together, a miracle will happen," Congo explained. "Miracle?" Ghana looked back and grinned. "More than you both know," he thought. The Gold Lions and the Garudians continued to walk to a large mountainous area. Back at Firerock Mountain, all was silent since all the lions were gone. However, there was only one lion left. It was Mohatu! Mohatu looked around and sees that the kingdom was completely bare. "Where is everyone?" Mohatu wondered. Mohatu sighed and walked down the kingdom and walked off thinking. "I hope they're okay. Especially Libya," he thought. As he walked, a strong wind blew past Mohatu violently. After the wind clamed down, Mohatu smiled. "Oh, Surabaya, you don't have to be jealous," he said. Back at the mountainous region, the Gold Lions and the Garudians made it to a large arena-like area surrounded by mountainsides and walls. "The last Lion Orb is around here somewhere," Ghana said. As everyone looked around and tried to sense the orb, Libya's ears perked and she looked above her. "What's wrong?" Zambia asked. "They're here," Libya smiled. Zambia and everyone else looked up at the top of the walls. On one side were the Black Lions and right beside them are the Silver-Striped Tigers! The four clans meet in a final battle! ***********************Eyecatch 21: Prince of the Gold Lions, Mohatu************************** ***********************Eyecatch 3: Libya, the Queen of the Gold Lions************************* Libya, Ghana, and their followers looked up toward their enemies. Kiaos grinned, "So, you all have come together to hand the Lion Orbs to me?" "Huh! No way!" Libya declared. "What about you, Zhao? You want to play as well?" "No more jokes," Zhao answered. "This time, I play to kill. Hand over those Lion Orbs, and that goes for you, Kiaos." "Losing your cool already?" Kiaos replied. "You're a fine one to talk, Kiaos," Ghana interrupted. "Didn't you lose just this afternoon?" Kiaos chuckled, hiding away his broken pride. Libya then stepped forward. "Look, everyone, we can return witty retorts all night. But, instead, we can end this war tonight right here and now," Libya declared. "Together, we've collected five Lion Orbs, and the last one is hidden around here somewhere. So, we'll all battle in a free-for-all while looking for the orb. What do you say?" "I agree," Zhao answered. "I've had it with this war. Even if you, your pride, and the Garudians are allies, I will end this war." "Do not worry. We Garudians will fight by ourselves and let the Gold Lions fight their own way," Ghana said. "That's just fine. Libya would break her promise if otherwise," Kiaos added. Then, the Black Lions and the Silver-Striped Tigers leapt or slid down the mountain wall to the ground. The four clans faced each other, focused on victory. Libya then took her Lion Orb and placed it near the wall. Ghana then placed his two Lion Orbs with the one other orb. Zhao nodded and took his Lion Orb from Lagos and placed it with the others. And finally Kiaos placed his Lion Orb with the others. The five Lion Orbs glowed as they sat next to each other. And so, the four clans faced each other in silence. As nightfall completely filled the sky, the winds blew stronger than ever through the crevices and sides of the mountains. Suddenly, Libya roared and she and her pride charged! The four clans charged at each other and collided in a colossal battle! Each Gold Lion fought either a Black Lion or a Silver-Striped Tiger. The Garudians fought against the tigers mostly rather than the Black Lions. Mali backed against the wall and jumps off it and tackles the Black Lions attacking him. Then, he followed up with an energy blast against them. Many of the Garudians ganged up on Zhao. Zhao roars in rage and catches one Garudian's charging fist. Then, Zhao threw a punch through the Garudian's gut. Then, Zhao stood on his hind legs and turned around with a solid kick in another Garudian's neck. Libya leapt over a charging Black Lion and ran towards her enemy. Without slowing down, Libya strikes a Black Lion, claws a tiger hard in the face and shot her claws in another tiger's neck. As Libya slowed down, she looked back to see the ones she killed. Libya closed her eyes in regret and ran off. As lions rolled around with each other and clawing and biting, Ghana punches away several of the Silver-Striped Tigers repetitively. Then, he throws some into the wall. Then, Zhao leapt at Ghana. After Ghana turned around, Zhao gave him a swipe in the face. Ghana cried in pain and held his face. Ghana pulled away his hands and revealed bleeding claw scratches on his face. "You won't best me this time!" Ghana shouted. Then, Ghana kicked Zhao in his gut. But, Zhao recovered and dash-punched Ghana in his gut. Ghana gasped in pain. Then, Zhao followed up with a roundhouse kick in Ghana's neck, making Ghana spin off his feet and into midair, still spinning. Before Ghana hits the ground, Zhao did another roundhouse kick and hits Ghana into the wall. Ghana quickly recovered and headbutts Zhao in the chest. As Zhao was sent in midair, Ghana kicks Zhao away. Zhao recovers, somersaults to the ground, and charges Ghana again, continuing their struggle. Meanwhile, as the battle continued, Libya looked around, searching for the Lion Orb around the mountains. Kiaos pawed Zambia and killed one other Gold Lion by suffocating her. Kiaos then looked behind himself and saw Libya. "You won't get that Lion Orb!" Kiaos roared. Then, Kiaos ran off at Libya. Libya looks back and sees Kiaos charging at her. Libya turned around and charged Kiaos. Libya and Kiaos then clawed and bit at each other. As both fighters took hits and dodged attacks, Kiaos paw Libya in the face, but Libya leapt and grabbed Kiaos' tail with her fangs and threw him away with great strength. As Kiaos landed on the ground and rolled for a while, Kiaos recovered and charged at Libya. Libya then flew into the air while Kiaos followed her. As Libya continued to look for the Lion Orb, she encountered Kiaos and fought with him a bit. Then, she avoids Kiaos and looked some more. Libya soared in the sky and looked around the mountains in top speed. Suddenly, Kiaos appeared in front of her and elbows her in the face. The force of the blow turned Libya backwards, leaving her vulnerable. So, Kiaos got behind Libya and captured her in a tight bear hug. Libya struggled to get free, but Kiaos had too much of an advantage over her. "Libya, do you remember? We were this close together back then, weren't we?" Kiaos murmured. As he talked, Kiaos squeezed tighter and tighter. Libya cringed in intense pain. "But, you set us apart. I don't think I can ever forgive you for that. Because of you, our love between each other is gone." Kiaos then squeezed even tighter. "Say goodbye, Queen Libya," Kiaos declared. Then, suddenly, when it seemed all was lost for Libya, someone gave Kiaos a powerful kick in the face. Kiaos lets go Libya and crashes inside a mountain. Libya recovered and flew in midair. Libya then looked up to see a familiar face. It was Mohatu! "Mohatu!" Libya exclaimed. In ecstatic joy, Libya flew to Mohatu and hugged him. Mohatu smiled and hugged with her. "I thought you were dead," Libya said. "At one point, I thought I was, too," Mohatu replied. Kiaos dug out of the rocky rubble and flew back in the air. Kiaos looked very surprised as he stares at Mohatu. "You! So, Caprivi was right! You survived!" he exclaimed. Mohatu gently pushed Libya away and said, "Libya, find that last Lion Orb. I'll take care of Kiaos." "Yes." Then, Libya flew away, leaving Mohatu to face Kiaos. "You should've curled over and died back then, Mohatu. Now, I won't go easy on you this time," Kiaos threatened. "Heh! If you really meant that, you would've got out from under those rocks earlier," Mohatu chuckled. Then, after Mohatu and Kiaos hovered face-to-face for several moments, Mohatu suddenly appeared in front of Kiaos and clawed him in the face before Kiaos could even blink! Kiaos recovered and punched at Mohatu. But, Mohatu swiftly dodged it and double hammer punched Kiaos to the ground. He crashed into the ground and made a huge crater. Mohatu flew to the ground in great speed. Kiaos slowly got up, but Mohatu flew at him and punched him away. As Kiaos flew through the air, Mohatu ran on the ground and caught up with Kiaos with marvelously fast speed. Then, Mohatu slammed Kiaos to the ground in one shot. Kiaos bounced from the impact to the ground and flipped over on his belly. Mohatu stood above Kiaos tirelessly. As Kiaos tried to get back up, Mohatu walked back a bit to give him room. Kiaos weakly got on all fours and panted. Mohatu taunts, "Shouldn't you have curled over and died right there?" Kiaos snarled and looked at Mohatu menacingly. Kiaos roared and hits Mohatu across the face. Kiaos looked at Mohatu in disbelief. Kiaos managed to scratch Mohatu and made him bleed, but Mohatu barely flinched in pain. Kiaos roared his loudest and scratched and punched Mohatu all over his massive body. Kiaos panted after his wild assault. Mohatu was bleeding all over, but still Mohatu is barely hurt. Kiaos gasped in disbelief. "What's wrong? I let you hit me and you still can't hurt me?" Mohatu taunted. Kiaos stared at Mohatu like a frightened child and slowly backed away. "How...how are you this strong so quickly?" Kiaos stammered. Mohatu slowly walked in sync with Kiaos backing away. As Mohatu moves toward Kiaos and Kiaos backed away from Mohatu, Mohatu suddenly leapt into the air. Kiaos gasped in fear and turned around to run, but Mohatu pounced him. Kiaos tried to get back up, but Mohatu tightly had him pinned. Meanwhile, Libya looked around the mountains. Slowly, her senses are getting closer to the Lion Orb. Libya then landed on the ground and started digging near a mountain. As she dug deeper and deeper, she feels something hard. "All right!" Libya exclaimed. Then, Libya dug a bit more and tugged to pull something out. Then, she slowly pulled from the hole in the ground the final Lion Orb! The battle still continued. However, there were many casualties and pools of blood all over the ground. Ghana punched Zhao across the face, but Zhao punched him back. Rwanda, Double, and Caprivi ganged up on one Gold Lioness and slaughtered her. Lagos knocked out a Garudian, but past out, tired. Maseru sent Kariba to the ground. Maseru then leapt on Kariba and rolled around with her. Congo and another Gold Lion both teamed up to take down a tiger by suffocating him. Zambia and Bambari panted after their battle. Neither one able to hold it together, both Zambia and Bambari fell to the ground, panting, at the same time. Uganda headbutts Mali in his side, but Mali recovered and roundhouse kicked Uganda to the ground. Many Black Lionesses were assaulting Victoria, but Victoria soon threw them all against the wall, killing them on impact. Victoria found Cairo on the ground on his knees, panting coarsely, so Victoria ran to him and kneeled down to hug Cairo. "Hang in there," Victoria pleaded lovingly. "I will," Cairo weakly answered. Sahara sat on a rock, her clothes torn and ruined. Zaire was also panting and lying on a rock, too tired to fight anymore. As the four clans start to tire down, Libya appeared. Everyone stopped fighting and watched Libya. They saw that she found the final Lion Orb! Libya walks toward the five Lion Orbs with the final orb under her arm. Kiaos only stared as Mohatu's bloody figure had him pinned. Mohatu smiled proudly as he watched Libya walked to the orbs. Zhao was severely focused on the current event, just like everyone else. Ghana only looked with a straight face. He knew what was going to happen. Libya made it to the Lion Orbs and placed the last orb with them. The Lion Orbs glowed brightly in sync with one another. "Great God of the Lion Orbs," Libya said, "I beseech you. Please, answer my prayer and appear before all of us and the bodies of the slain." The Lion Orbs glittered wildly and an eye-piercing golden aura started to emit brighter each second. "He's being summoned at last," Ghana declared softly... to be continued...
