Kiaos only stared as Mohatu's bloody figure had him pinned. Mohatu smiled proudly as he watched Libya walked to the orbs. Zhao was severely focused on the current event, just like everyone else. Ghana only looked with a straight face. He knew what was going to happen. Libya made it to the Lion Orbs and placed the last orb with them. The Lion Orbs glowed brightly in sync with one another. "Great God of the Lion Orbs," Libya said, "I beseech you. Please, answer my prayer and appear before all of us and the bodies of the slain." The Lion Orbs glittered wildly and an eye-piercing golden aura started to emit brighter each second. "He's being summoned at last," Ghana declared softly... Episode 16:"End of War" A huge pillar of golden light was shot in the skies in a flash of lightning. Golden sparks of electricity was everywhere upon the skies. Clouds flew rapidly across the phosphorescent sky. Everyone was awed by the phenomenon. Libya stared into the skies, her eyes glowing bright gold. The pillar of light slowly curved a bit. Then, it starts to take a form. Arms started to appear and a face appeared in the transforming pillar. Ghana still looked without in awe. The severely wounded Zhao got up and got Ghana's attention. "You...seem to now what's going on. Is this what the legends speak of?" Zhao asked. "Yes, Tiger King. This is the Great God of the Lion Orbs. Our savior, our creator," Ghana answered. "And I guess the Gold Lions beat us all to this chase." "Yes. They have won. Now, they shall have the gift they desire." Zhao coughed and looked back to Libya. Libya fell to her side of her legs, due to her injuries. But, she continued staring into the pillar of light with golden eyes. The golden light started to reach critical power. Everyone's eyes widened with curiosity. Then, the pillar's power exploded in a flash. Gold light spreaded everywhere and everyone disappeared. Gold light spreads across the lands. All was quiet. Then, the light started to fade. Everyone on the battlefield reappeared and stared in disbelief. First, the Silver-Striped Tigers appeared. Zhao's mouth trembled at what he saw next. All the other tigers were also in the same way. The Gold and Black Lions were next to appear. They couldn't believe what they saw either. Next, the Garudians appeared, but they weren't as surprised. Last to appear is Libya, who still looked toward the arisen force. From the Lion Orbs, a spirit was in the skies. It was a male lion. He was very big in size. His fur was green like a reptile. His blond mane was very long and was caught in the gust of wind. He had horns sprouting from his head just above his ears. The godly lion looked like a cross between a lion and a dragon. "I am Kabaila, the God of the Golden Lion Orbs," he spoke. Everyone was in awe at this awesome sight. Zhao looked with his muzzle wide opened. Mohatu was exactly the same way. Kiaos was plain speechless. Uganda couldn't believe it. "So, the legend was true after all," he said. Rwanda looked toward Uganda. "Legends usually don't lie. That's why we all was so eager, except you," she said. "I know. I'm sorry I didn't believe." Some of the Garudians prayed softly to the god, even the wounded. Ghana spoke to himself, "I never thought I would see you again, Kabaila. It's been so long." "Yes, it's been 15 years, love," someone said. It was a wounded Victoria. She limped all the way to Ghana. "15 years. Yes, it has been that long," Ghana said. Victoria nearly collapsed, but Ghana caught her in time. Victoria sighed deeply and blood dripped from her mouth. "I wonder...Libya's the one who summoned the great Kabaila. So, she gets to make a single wish." "I know. That's what I'm trying to figure out. What will Libya wish for?" As everyone looked on, Kabaila looked down to Libya. "You are the one who summoned me," Kabaila said in a godly tone. "What is your wish? Only one wish for one of the Lion Orbs is cracked and is currently healing itself. With one of the Lion Orbs cracked, my power to remain in this world is limited. So, please, make your wish quickly." Libya looked focusly at Kabaila, thinking of a wish. All that the others can do is wait to see what Libya would wish for. Then, Libya sighed deeply. That's when everyone paid full attention. Libya was going to make a wish. Libya then stood with pride and bowed to Kabaila. After she got up from her bow, she finally spoke. "Great God Kabaila, what you see is an all-out struggle between four clans of creatures. A lot of us are killed in this meaningless battle. A meaningless battle that insured several needless deaths. All of us are cowards that thought of nothing but winning the war and all the four lands we all share. I am also one of those cowards and I clearly don't deserve to make a wish like everyone else here. Sin has plagued us all and we are all unworthy of living. We should all die like the ones who were killed in battle." Everyone thought hard about Libya's statement. They all realized that she was right. Even Kiaos felt ashamed. Libya continued. "The Garudians have disgraced the gods they worship. The Silver-Striped Tigers have overstepped their own boundaries. But, we, the Gold and Black Lions, caused the greater sin. We have split apart from each other and caused the involvement of the other two clans we never really knew about. All that happened because of our own affairs of control. All that happened because of me. I'm the one who caused this war." Kiaos looked at Libya with confusion. "Why did she say that? I'm the one who started this. All this would never happen if it weren't for me. But, she's blaming herself. Why? Why?!" "That's why I'm not deserving to make a wish. But, I ask of you, Great God. Please resurrect all the ones who were killed by any of us from the day we were all born to now. The ones who are important to all of us." "That is an interesting eulogy. You may blame yourself of the meaningless war, but you are indeed worthy of a wish. I feel a pure soul within you. Also, by the words you just said, only a sincere and responsible heart could admit. That is why the wish will be granted." Then, Kabaila's eyes glowed and shot across the land. The light had shown upon the dead bodies in the battlefield. As the light died down, the bodies started to move again. Everyone else owed that the wish worked. Then, two shadows came upon Zambia and Maseru. The sisters looked to see two familiar lions. It was the two lion brothers who Kiaos killed in the beginning! "It's our brothers!" Maseru exclaimed. "I can't believe it!" Zambia shouted happily. The lionesses then got up and hugged their brothers tearfully. As Zhao sees that his clan members who died were alive again, a paw grabbed his shoulder. Zhao looked behind himself and looked in shock. It was his brother who Kiaos killed before! "Brother," Zhao murmured. "Hi. Miss me?" "Oh, brother! You came back to me!" Then, Zhao hugged his brother tightly. Sahara still laid on her side beside Demon Double. Demon Double looked in another direction and looked in shock. "Sahara, look." Sahara looked where he said to and her eyes opened widely. A light red Garudian walked to Sahara. "Rosy?" Sahara murmured questionably. It was Rosy, the young Garudian girl who Double killed years ago. But, she is a full grown lady now. "Sahara, my friend," she said. Then, Sahara found the strength to get up and ran to Rosy. "Rosy!" she yelled. Sahara and Rosy met in a hugging embrace. "Oh, Rosy! I'm so sorry I left you to die like that! I was an idiot! I didn't...!" Then, Rosy silenced Sahara. "All is forgiven. It was selfish of me to depend on you all the time. But, it doesn't matter now. I'm back." "Yes." "Can you forgive me?" Double suddenly said. Rosy looked to Double, who de-evolved back to his lion form. "I overlooked you and what you would grow up to be and murdered you and left Sahara alive. I don't see how you could forgive me, but I love Sahara. But, if you hate me, I'll leave you two alone. But, I beg of you. Please forgive me." "Sure," Rosy said with a smile. "Huh?" "When you and Sahara made love the first time, you said Sahara wouldn't do it if she didn't feel me disliking the thought of you two together. You're right. Besides, I'm not that attractive like Sahara is." "Now that I look at you, I think you're very attractive." "You think so?" Double made a friendly smile at Rosy and Sahara... Mohatu watched as the dead rose to their feet or reappear around them. Then, someone gets Mohatu's attention and he smiled in relief. He walked away from Kiaos and nuzzled with a familiar lioness, Surabaya! "Surabaya," Mohatu murmured. "What happened? I thought I..." Surabaya wondered. "Forget it. It's okay. I love you, Surabaya." "Me too." Mohatu and Surabaya hugged tightly, the tragic lovers reunited. "Thank you, Libya," Mohatu thought. ***************************Eyecatch 14: Kiaos, King of the Black Lions************************ ********************************Eyecatch 22: Reigning Peace******************************* As the dead was resurrected, Libya couldn't help but smile with pride. "Your wish is granted," Kabaila stated. "Now, I must go now and rest my power for a year. By then, the cracked Lion Orb will heal and re-energize me." "Thank you so much," Libya said. "Farewell for now." Then, Kabaila's energy aura exploded in a brilliant flash of golden light. Kabaila disappears in the light and flies in the air. Libya looked up, watching Kabaila leave. The gold beam of light soared high in the sky until it stopped and shone like the sun. Then, the six Lion Orbs split from each other and shot across the skies to six new locations. Soon, the skies returned to normal and all was calm. Libya sighed and turned to all the clans. She walked to Kiaos slowly. As Kiaos got up, he stared at Libya in disbelief. "Why? Why did you blame yourself for this war? I'm the one who caused all this," Kiaos said. "You were my responsibility," Libya answered. "But..." Kiaos looked to the ground with unsure thoughts. Then, all the clans walked to Libya. They sat before her and they all bowed. "Thank you, Libya," Zhao said. "Now with my brother alive again, I have no reason to continue a war." "I thank you as well," Ghana said. "Even the gods is nothing compared to you." "You even wished back the Black Lions who wanted to kill you for the throne," Rwanda said. "Why? Why did you make such a wish?" "That's right," Kiaos said after bringing his head up. "You could've had anything you ever wanted. Your greatest dreams you desired would become yours within a single wish." "I don't want anything," Libya said with a smile. "It's just that this war has caused so much pain to family and friends. They all get either separated or they die in a worthless struggle. It's sad and life shouldn't be that way. I want to start over. I want all of us to be friends instead of becoming enemies selfishly fighting for control of the four lands. The Gold Lions may have won the war, but the four lands belong to each of the four clans and shouldn't be taken away." Everyone was silent and moved by her words. Then, Libya held up her right paw. "Ghana, Zhao, Kiaos, will we start over and be friends?" she asked. First, Ghana walked from the Garudians and to Libya. He kneeled down and smiled as he grabbed Libya's paw. "In my eyes, you're a goddess that must be worshipped." "I'm flattered." Then, Zhao appeared behind Ghana and shook Libya's paw. "There's something about you that makes me tremble with a nice, soothing feeling. You're truly the most sincere, kind lioness I ever known. And I hope it's forever." "Zhao." After Zhao and Ghana shook paw and wing, Libya looked to Kiaos. Kiaos stared at Libya with confusion. "How can you ever forgive me? We can never be friends again." Then, in an unexpected move, Kiaos got a neck nuzzle from Libya. "Actually, I don't see how you can forgive me. I separated us both from our happy relationship together. I didn't think about why I exiled you. I only did it because my royal status asked of it. I'm a coward that treated you unfairly. You deserve my throne more than I do. And look at you. I ruined your beautiful golden coat with my curse. You're now only a shadow of your beautiful past." "Libya, I..." "Please, I beg of you. Please forgive me and let us start over. Let it be like the old times we had together. Please!" Kiaos looked down at Libya to see that she was crying. Kiaos then finally realized how much Libya loves him. Then, Kiaos started to cry. "Oh, Libya," he started to say. Libya looked up at Kiaos with tearful eyes. "I was mistaken. I thought less of you. How could I actually kill you when I love you so?" "Kiaos?" "You're more beautiful than ever now that I understand you. Of course I forgive you. Just stop your sobbing. You know I can't bear to see you crying." "Brother." "Sister." Kiaos and Libya then made a hugging embrace... So, with that, all four clans are friends from this day forward. Everything was back to normal now that Libya declared peace. With our new unity, all the clan members who fell in love during the war finally mated, such as Zambia and Bambari and Double and Sahara. 10 moons passed after a while and things between Libya and I are getting more complicated... Mohatu was the first to wake from Firerock Mountain. Mohatu yawned sleepily and looked around the lands. He purred for Surabaya who was following him. Then, he started to walk off with Surabaya at his side. After a while, Libya walked out the cave and saw Mohatu walk off. "Oh, where's he off to now?" she thought. Then, Libya started to follow him. Mohatu then turned around and ran at Libya. Mohatu stopped and growled at her deeply. Libya was surprised and backed away. "Huh? What's wrong, Mohatu?" Libya asked. "Quit following me, please," Mohatu said sternly. "That's really annoying." "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean..." "No, no, no. Don't speak. It's fine. But, I want to be alone with Surabaya for a while." "Okay. You have my permission." "Didn't intent your permission anyway," Mohatu murmured. Then, Libya went to nuzzle Mohatu under his neck. A panicked Mohatu found himself resting his head atop of Libya's. Mohatu's eyes started to well up in tears and he backed away. Libya looked at Mohatu in confusion. "Now, what's wrong? Are you...crying?" Libya asked sympathetically. Libya got closer to Mohatu's face. "Is something bothering you? You can tell me. I'm your friend, aren't I?" Then, Libya started to lick Mohatu's tears away, making Mohatu very nervous. Then, Mohatu backed away again. "Mohatu?" Libya tried to get closer, but Mohatu backed away. "Please, leave me alone," Mohatu said, threatened. Libya clearly doesn't understand, so Mohatu sighed as he tried to regain his composure. "Libya, can I talk to you?" "About what?" "Surabaya, can you wait for me?" Surabaya nods in understanding. In the boundary of the pridelands, Mohatu and Libya spoke to each other. "So, that's what I'll be doing now," Mohatu said. "You're leaving?" Libya asked worriedly. "Not for good. I'm just going to keep myself scarce from this clan for now. Something's making me feel uncomfortable. I'll be back, so don't worry. See ya." Mohatu started to walk away. Libya trembled and shouted for Mohatu. "Wait! I...!" Libya tried to say. Mohatu turned to Libya. Libya's heart pounded faster than it ever did. She didn't want him to leave her, but she couldn't find the right words. So, Libya sighed and said, "Never mind." Mohatu shrugged and turned around and continued walking off. Soon, after a while, Mohatu disappeared from Libya's sights. Libya's eyes looked sadder than ever, and she fell to her side to lay down. "Mohatu, don't leave me. Don't run away from me," she murmured. Then, Libya gasped in disbelief. "What did I just say?!" she thought. Then, Libya started to cry. "It can't be. Am I....am I...in love?" Libya suddenly gasped as she realized why Mohatu left. "Something's making me uncomfortable," Mohatu said in Libya's mind. "Oh no. What have I...?!" Then, Libya started to tremble and sob softly. Meanwhile, Mohatu continued to walk with Surabaya. For a while, he stopped to look back. "I don't know if I'll ever come back, Libya. But, trust me. I won't leave you...not yet," he thought. Surabaya watched Mohatu and smiles tenderly for some reason. Then, Mohatu continued with his lover walking as the sun sets... to be continued... With our new unity, all the clan members who fell in love with each other finally mated, such as Zambia and Bambari and Double and Sahara. All of us were peaceful and went back to our regular lives. But, only one more thing must be done... Episode 17:"Libya's Deepest Secret" As the sun shone brightly across the pridelands, Mohatu slept under a tree soundly. While he sleeps, he begins anxious movements and grunts. It appeared he was dreaming... In his dream, Mohatu ran in slow motion inside a purple area of space. He ran quickly across invisible ground. He panted wildly as if he was running quite a distance. His strong hind legs pushed hard along with his front legs. His mane was caught in the wind of Mohatu's speed and floated up and down with Mohatu's run. Mohatu's green eyes were filled with extreme desire. That's why he runs. He's running after the thing he desires. With determination, he continued running. Then, something was visible in front of Mohatu. It was a lioness. It was Libya. She ran from Mohatu while he continued chasing her. Libya looked behind her shoulder to Mohatu and smiled warmly. "Mohatu," she said with an echo. As he ran, Mohatu smiled back towards Libya. "Libya," he said, also with an echo. Libya giggled like a young cub and ran faster. "I want you, Libya," Mohatu thought. "I want you as my mate. But, while you run, it seems that I'll never catch you. But, I won't give up. I'll catch you." Mohatu then leaped in the air and at great distance, he pounced Libya. They laughed playfully as they rolled around. As they laid down on their sides, Mohatu and Libya stared deeply in each other's eyes, both filled with true love. Then, their lips met in an embracing kiss. They continued to kiss, which will soon lead to a more powerful expression of love. "Oh, Mohatu..." The sunlight shone over Mohatu's smiling face. Then, his eyes opened slowly. Mohatu yawned loudly and stretched tightly. Mohatu slurped his muzzle and sat up. Mohatu then walked to a watering hole and jumped in. He splashed around, giving himself a bath. After a while, he got out the water and shook his mane and fur free from the water. Mohatu then sees Surabaya behind him. Surabaya nuzzled in Mohatu's rump and purred. As she made her way to Mohatu's head, the two lions embraced. Then, Surabaya nuzzled around Mohatu and winked at him to make him follow her in the forest. Mohatu slurped his muzzle and walked into the forest. As he walked through the forest, Mohatu looked about. He sees a loving couple of two birds singing together. Then, he sees a female antelope being chased by a male one. Two rabbits scurried along Mohatu's paws quickly and hopped happily. Mohatu sighed deeply. "Everyone is with his or her lover," he said. "Now, I must find mine." He continued into the forests slowly. Back at Firerock Mountain, all the lionesses spoke together about something. "Hey, have you noticed Libya's behavior nowadays?" one lioness said. "Yes, I have. She's very strenuous all of the sudden. Everytime I ask what's wrong, she says it's nothing," another said. "She got angry with me when I asked her. I'm afraid to ask again now," a third lioness said. All the lionesses murmured in agreement. Maseru then said, "Mohatu's the same way. He's very silent. I ever heard that he left the pride with that Surabaya lioness." "Oh, I think he'll come back. But, why did he leave?" another lioness hinted. "Maybe having something to do with Libya." "It's just weird to me. What will happen to us?" All the lionesses agreed and tried to think of a solution. Away from them, Libya looked and listened to their discussion. "Oh, Mohatu, have you really chosen someone else? I should be happy for you, but..." she thought. At Limestone Mountain, Mohatu and Surabaya walked around to the back of the kingdom. On their way, they saw Zambia with Bambari. Bambari kissed on Zambia's breast and face. Zambia giggled softly and kissed him back wherever. Mohatu growled deeply and bowed his head. "They should learn to be more modest," he said to himself. Then, he walked around the kingdom and found Zhao. But he hid on the mountainside blushing. He almost walked in on Zhao and Zaire making love! "Even Zhao!" he said. "Why doesn't this stop?" "Why are you upset?" Surabaya whispered. "You shouldn't hide true love." "You're right, darling. But, it's just that..." Mohatu sighed as he waited for those two to finish. Meanwhile, Libya walked around aimlessly in the forest away from the pridelands. She could stop thinking about Mohatu. He remained in her mind, no matter how much she tried to forget. As she came out the bushes into a clearing, she saw Double running with Sahara riding him. "Oh, hi, Queen Libya!" Sahara greeted. "Hi. What are you two doing?" Libya asked. "Would you like to now?" Double said. Libya rolled her eyes. Apparently, Double's still mad at her for unbanishing them now that the war is over. "Don't mind him," Sahara said. "Anyway, we're off to the hill to sing. I'll see you later, Libya. Let's go, Double!" Double ran with Sahara on his back fast, leaving Libya behind. "Goodbye!" Sahara yelled to her. Libya sighed. She then growled deeply and clawed grass from the ground repeatedly. "Damn." Libya then ran off in the grasslands. Libya ran all around the grasslands. She rolled around in the grass. She ran up one hill and stopped suddenly. She sees black paws pawing at the skies. She climbed the hill stealthily. When she got to the top, she sees that it was Kiaos. He continued pawing at the skies and made short growls. Libya couldn't help but giggle at Kiaos. "Huh! I thought since you a tough king who was determined to kill me, you wouldn't do such things like that anymore," she said. Kiaos suddenly stopped and realized Libya was there. "Oh, it...it's you!" Kiaos said urgently. "Do...don't bother me!" He turned around on his side and faced the other direction. Libya walked over to him and halfway walked over Kiaos' chest. "Are you embarrassed?" she said coyly. Kiaos growled at her question. "Where's Rwanda? Since I saw so many couples going about, I thought that you would be with your mate." "Believe me, I would, but that's why I'm here now. She says that she doesn't feel like making love to me now. She told me to wait until she's in a playful mood," Kiaos finally said. Kiaos frowned angrily and clawed at the grass repeatedly like Libya did earlier. "Argh! I hate waiting like this!!" Kiaos roared. Libya back away a bit. "I'm sorry, Kiaos. I didn't mean to make you mad by thinking about Rwanda." "No, no. It's not your fault. I've been thinking about this all day. Everyone's gone to make love to their mates and it's infuriating to me since I have to wait for my lover." Then, Kiaos turned around to face Libya completely. "Hmm. You seem like you're in the same position as I am," he said with an actual friendly smile. Kiaos got up and nuzzled Libya. "I've been thinking about seeing you, but you know, I'm still banished." "Are you still angry about that?" Libya asked. "Not that much. I've gotten use to Demon's Gorge." "Deep down, I didn't want to banish you. We're so close to each other." "You know it was the right thing. At least you didn't give me the death penalty, which is what I should've gotten." "I would never forgive myself if I did that. I didn't hate you that much. I love you." "I love you, too. Sister, let us start over." "Yes. Please, love me." Kiaos pounced Libya and they both rolled down the hill. At the bottom, Libya landed first with Kiaos on top of her. They laughed playfully like young cubs. Kiaos kissed Libya lovingly. "Libya, are you really serious about never mating another lion again?" Kiaos asked. "Yes, I am." "But, what about Mohatu?" Libya's heart jumped when she heard that name. "Mohatu?" she repeated. "Yes. He's pretty good-looking, you know. And he's very strong too," Kiaos informed, remembering his fights with Mohatu during the war. "Yes, he is," Libya said, in a sudden seductive tone. Kiaos smiled slyly at Libya and chuckled. Libya looked back at Kiaos with confusion. "What's so funny?" she said. "You spoke of Mohatu in your sultry tone of voice. You're in love with him, aren't you?" Kiaos said coyly. "N-no! I-umm-don't-I mean-uh..." "I thought so. And I bet Mohatu feels the same way about you." "You think?" "Sure. Now, tell me. You love Mohatu." "You know how I feel, so why bother?" "I need to hear it straight from your lips. Tell me." Libya bit his lips and looked deeply in Kiaos' eyes. "I...I...I...," she started to say. Kiaos was coming in for a kiss. Libya then finally said it. "I love him." ************************Eyecatch 3: Libya, the Queen of the Gold Lions************************ ************************Eyecatch 23: Mohatu and Libya's Loving Romance********************** Mohatu yawned deeply for he was asleep. "I'm sorry I kept so long with Zaire and made you fall asleep," Zhao said. "But, she was very good today." "Whatever. But, I guess it's true, considering the noise she was making," Mohatu replied. "But, I must say, your techniques are very unique," Surabaya giggled. "Ooh, well, thank you. So, what's wrong?" Zhao grinned. "It's about Libya," Mohatu started to say. "Libya? Oh, I see. I see." "Every couple I saw made me jealous. I even had a dream about her this morning." "You gotta admit, Mohatu wasn't feeling so hot. I know that he fell in love with her first and I understand that. So, we came here for some advice," Surabaya explained. "I see. You're a very rare lioness, Surabaya. A lioness who doesn't mind seeing her lion with another lioness. I'm impressed," Zhao awed. "It's not like all lions are limited to one mate, so why not? Besides, Libya's very gorgeous and kind; we can be good friends if we get the chance to bond." "Surabaya..." Mohatu murmured "Well, you know how Libya feels about marrying now. You must know during when you seduced her before," Surabaya said. "Oh, yeah. I remember. She sworn off marriage," Zhao said. "See, I know that, but I want her so bad. But, due to things in the past, I feel very uncomfortable. What do you think I should do? I figured I can ask you, because you two gotten very close," Mohatu explained. "Well, I can't tell you much, but to just follow your heart. If you love Libya, just talk to her. I'm sure you'll talk out something." "I see. A long discussion with Libya could set things right. Thanks!" "You're welcome." Mohatu ran off. Zhao chuckled a bit. Zhao then looked to see Surabaya just sitting there. "Are you going to follow him?" he wondered. "It should be between him and Libya, shouldn't it?" Surabaya answered. Zhao smiled and nodded in agreement. Mohatu made it back to Firerock Mountain. He looked all about for Libya. Mohatu looked around through all the parts of the jungle, but still couldn't find her. He looked around the kingdom, but she wasn't there. Mohatu started to worry about her. Mohatu then thought. "Oh, the war is over. She probably went to see Kiaos and are doing something for old times' sake. I'll find her there." Mohatu smiled and ran off to Demon's Gorge. At the meadow in the border lands of Demon's Gorge, Libya waved bye to Kiaos and walked off. Kiaos then walked back to his kingdom. After several moments, Libya continued walking. Suddenly, a stampede of buffalo came storming at Libya. Libya looked and immediately jumped in the air. The buffalo passed by, but one was lagging behind. Libya landed on it and slipped and fell on the ground. The buffalo got angry and ran at Libya. The moment Libya got up, the buffalo rammed Libya hard to quite a distance. Libya landed on the side of her right front leg and crushed it. Libya roared in pain. She couldn't move. Her front paw was bruised and her side where the buffalo rammed her was bleeding badly. The buffalo then charged to finish Libya. Then, something struck the buffalo and made it fall headfirst. Libya made an expression as if she was saying 'huh?' and looked to see Mohatu. "Mohatu!" she yelled. He smiled broadly to Libya and walked to her. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Yes. Thank you for saving me. But, you didn't need to save me. I can take care of myself." "I know, but I had to. Anything for my majesty." Mohatu took Libya's left paw and got her on her feet. Mohatu walked under Libya and she found herself on his back. Mohatu bucked Libya and got her straight on his back. "Are you comfortable?" Mohatu asked. "Y...yes," Libya said, blushing. "Okay, I'll take you somewhere where there's some water. Hold on." "I'm holding." Mohatu then ran at great speed with Libya holding on tight with her left paw and her hind legs. At a nearby watering hole, Mohatu stood there with Libya still on his back. "This place will do fine to heal your wounds," Mohatu said. Libya nodded as she is carried further to the watering hole. Mohatu walked to the border of the water. "The water has mystic healing effects. Since you are on three paws, I'll carry you through the water," Mohatu explained. Mohatu stepped in the water. Soon, he got in deep enough for Libya to touch the cold, soothing water. The water seemed to glow upon Libya's fur. Then, the water stopped its glowing, dark, and phosphorescent blue color. Libya leaped in the water without any problems. She smiled proudly. "I'm healed. Oh, thank you so much!" "You're welcome. It's nothing really. Just helping a childhood friend." "No. What you did was simply wonderful," she continued. Libya ran and hugged Mohatu tightly. Mohatu couldn't help but hug her back. Libya then lost control of her actions and put her muzzle to Mohatu's and kissed him. Both of their eyes widened in surprise and they both backed away making splashes. Mohatu blushed and smiled a bit. "My, I...sure didn't expect that," he said. "I didn't expect to do that," Libya replied worriedly. Libya ran out the water and shook the water off her when she's on the land. She then bowed her head in shame. Mohatu walked out the water and shook water from his fur to Libya, getting her wet. "Hey!" Libya said with a timid, childlike smile. "I'm sorry." Mohatu put his paw on Libya's shoulder and nuzzled her. "I think you wanted to kiss me." Libya looked at Mohatu and found herself staring in his green eyes. "I...," she started to say. "I think we both feel the same way toward each other. We're in love, aren't we?" Libya was completely under Mohatu's spell in his beautiful eyes. "Oh, I don't deserve you. You're better off with Surabaya rather than me. I even scared you away from the pride. That's why you left," she said with tears in her eyes. "What do you mean? That's not..." Libya hugged Mohatu again and sobbed with her face deep in Mohatu's mane. "Please, leave me. I would just mean your death." "I don't understand. What's wrong, Libya?" "Do you remember Shurito?" "Oh, yes," Mohatu said, stunned by the name. "My best friend." "Also your rival for my affections. Remember his death? I was the one who caused it." Mohatu looked at Libya like she was crazy. How could a beautiful, sincere girl like her cause the death of his best friend, he thought. "How long did you love me?" she asked. "The first day I saw you. I fell hopelessly in love. Shurito was in love with you, too. So, we had a final battle with you as the prize. Shurito won. I was disappointed, but I was grateful that you would mate a strong lion that will take care of you." "Shurito and I was a very cute couple, wasn't I?" "Yes, you two were. I was so jealous, but I didn't want to trouble the both of you with my jealousy." "We're always together when we mated. Always, until the War of the Pridelands' Fall began. Shurito was fantastic on the battlefield. He always saved my life in several battles. I was so attracted to him. But, one rescue was his last. I soon had it with him always rescuing me, and demanded for him to stop. Then, I was caught in a situation when I was all alone. Shurito wasn't there. Kiaos wasn't there. You wasn't there. I was alone, just like I asked. I would've died, but Shurito saved me once again. But, he got slain in the battle. He said he wanted to die because it was the only way he won't be able to save me again. He soon left me. I was so heartbroken, I swore I would never fall in love with someone and mate him again. Not if that lion is willing to die for me for something I caused. I would've want to marry you, but I didn't want to lose you, too." Libya continued to sob. Mohatu looked sympathetically to Libya. "It's funny," he said. Libya looked up to him. "All this time, I thought I caused his death." Libya blinked at Mohatu in confusion. "Like I said, I was jealous. I kept it to myself, but my jealousy grew deep in my heart. Shurito was all that you talked about. Shurito always saved your life. Shurito always looks his best. Shurito was always good to make love to. I was angered every time. After your wedding, my jealousy made me grow to hate Shurito over Libya. I just wished that Shurito would go away so I can have Libya. Then, he did go away. I said I didn't really mean it. After a few days passed, I swore to Shurito that I would take care of you when I tell her my feelings. But, after you said that you swore off marriage to another before I told you, I kept it to myself. I felt that that was my punishment for my bad thoughts, so I left you alone about love. But, I kept my promise that I would take care of you. That's why I got scared around you. I didn't want to betray Shurito." "Mohatu," Libya said softly. "If you still feel that way, I leave you alone once again and never bring this up ever again," Mohatu said. "Goodbye." Mohatu then started to walk away. Libya trembled to see Mohatu walking away from her. Her eyes gathered more tears, and she ran after Mohatu. "No! Come back! Don't leave me! I love you!" Libya yelled. Mohatu stopped and faced Libya. Libya jumped and hugged Mohatu tightly. "Please, don't leave," Libya pleaded. "I love you, Mohatu. I'll never let you go. Never." Mohatu's eyes began to gain tears. "Libya, you mean that?" "Yes. We belong together. I'll die if you leave me." Mohatu smiled happily and lovingly. "Oh, Libya," he said softly. "Mohatu..." Mohatu and Libya nuzzled and purred lovingly. Their tails lashed rapidly. Mohatu and Libya's noses met. Libya gave Mohatu "The Look" and smiled seductively. "This is love, honey tree. I'll never let you go." Mohatu returned with a sly grin, apparent that he made up his mind. "I want you, my little kitten." "You can have me." Then, their lips finally met in a kiss. For long last, Mohatu has found his lover at last and Libya is finally free of her guilt over Shurito. Nothing can stand in their way now. Episode 18:"A New Day of Life" Meanwhile, on the top peak of Firerock Mountain, Zambia, Maseru, Congo, Bambari, and Surabaya were watching across the land. "Mohatu was at Limestone Mountain talking to Zhao about something?" Maseru asked. "Yes," Bambari said. "I saw him leave after I was through with Zambia. He seemed very disturbed about something." "I notice him when he first arrived," Zambia added. "When he stared at Bambari making out with me, he looked jealous." "Libya's been acting strange, too," Congo said. "Those two are very shy around each other more than usual." "It's seems like they're in love, but, with Libya's feelings about marriage, that's not likely," said Maseru. "Well, they should've been back by now," Surabaya pointed out. "She's right; they've been gone a pretty good while, though. Maybe something happened," Zambia said to Maseru. "Hey, I see someone coming!" Congo exclaimed. The four felines looked further out of the lands to see a something heading their way. Then, it appears that two things are heading toward the mountain. "It's...it's Mohatu and Libya!" Zambia exclaimed. "They finally came home!" "Everyone! Let's go!" Maseru yelled. Everyone nodded and started to run down the mountain. After the reached the bottom, they ran to the distant lands where Mohatu and Libya are coming from. Mohatu and Libya walked side by side proudly. They looked at each other and smiled. Libya kissed Mohatu lovingly and they both purred. Then, they see Zambia and the others running to them. "I see that they were worried," Libya said. Mohatu chuckled a bit. The five felines padded up to Mohatu and Libya and panted. "You both came back," Zambia said. "All the lions and lionesses were so worried about you two," Maseru said. "There was no need to worry. We're back," Mohatu said. "Yes, and we came back with a marvelous surprise for all of you," Libya said. "Really? What is it?" Zambia asked. "You'll find out tonight," she answered with a wink. Bambari and Congo looked at each other with confusion and stared back at Libya. Surabaya sniffed Mohatu, smelling a whole new scent. Surabaya chuckled and winked at Mohatu. Mohatu blushed and nodded. The moon shimmered brightly as the night sky appeared across the land. At Firerock Mountain, all the lions and lionesses gathered for some sort of occasion. It appears to be a ceremony. The lions murmured to each other, all not knowing of the purpose of the ceremony. Standing away from the group was Kiaos, Rwanda, Zhao, Zaire, and Bambari. Bambari, Zaire, and Rwanda were also unknowing of the ceremony, but Zhao, Kiaos, and Surabaya knew exactly what's going on. After a few moments, Libya appeared and everyone was silent. "Greetings, everyone. I'm glad you're all here tonight for this very special meeting," she declares. "Now, I'm sure you're all wondering what is the meeting is about. This is a king's mantlement ceremony." Everyone was surprised and talked among each other. Rwanda said to Kiaos, "A new Lion King? Could it be...?" Kiaos nodded with a smile. Then, Libya continued. "Now, we all needed this for a long time. All the lions here are very strong in their own way, but I've chosen a very special lion for the role as king. The one I have chosen is Mohatu." Everyone gasped in disbelief, especially the lions. "Imagine!" Congo said to a random lion. Then, Mohatu appeared by Libya. "Mohatu is the most powerful lion of the whole pride. All the lions truly respect him. Even when he nearly lost his life before, he never gave up and helped to win the war. I'm sure his determination, his sincere heart, and loyalty to the pride will help in his kingship. That is, if you will accept him as king. So, what do you say?" All the lions and lionesses were silent and looked to each other, apparently thinking and talking about. After a while, a lion roared in agreement. Then, another joined him and another. Soon, all of the pride roared. Mohatu was very surprised and smiled happily to his soon-to-be followers. Even Kiaos and the others roared. "Thank you everyone," Mohatu said. Then, Zambia told everyone to be silent for a moment. "Wait, does that mean that you'll step down, Libya?" she asked. Then, everyone asked in agreement. "You're not going to leave us now, are you?" a male asked. Libya smiled and giggled. "No, I'm not leaving. I'm still the Lion Queen," Libya said. "But, if you're accepting a king, you have to...!" Congo said, but stopped short once he thought about it. Everyone then realized and stared at Libya. Libya smiled and boldly stated, "Mohatu is my mate." Everyone gasped and stared in disbelief. Zaire, Rwanda, and Bambari couldn't believe it. Their jaws were hanging. Kiaos and Zhao, however, smiled to each other. Surabaya smiled with pride, watching the proud smile Mohatu had on his face. "I know I said I would never mate anyone again. But, I realize how foolish that is now. So, I belong to Mohatu now." Everyone still was stunned, but they smiled and clapped their paws with appreciation. "Well, what do ya know?" Kiaos said coyly. "Thank you all," Libya said. "Now, by dawn, Mohatu and I will be gone. I believe you'll know why." "Oh! Your honeymoon, right?!" Maseru shouted. Most of the lions chuckled at Maseru's outburst, making her end up blushing. "That's right. So, all of you take care while we're gone." The lions roared in agreement. Mohatu and Libya looked to each other and smiled. Next morning, peace took complete control of the four lands. The Garudians went back to their godly worshiping and grand pleasures. The Silver-Striped Tigers continued their work around their kingdom. The Black Lions were still at Hell's Gorge, but they finally got around to calling it their home. As for the Gold Lions, everything was normal. After Mohatu made his roar of kingship, the lions and lionesses went on with their usual activities. While they were going on with their lives, their queen and newly ascended king are gone on their honeymoon, not to be coming back until five days pass... ************************Eyecatch 23: Mohatu and Libya's Loving Romance********************** ************************Eyecatch 24: Mohatu, King of the Gold Lions************************** The next day, at the Garudians' home, Ghana walked outside and yawned deeply. He looked about his village with sleepily pride. Then, Mali walked out beside Ghana. "Peaceful, huh?" he said. "Yes, it is. That seemingly, never-ending war is finally over." "Do you think that peace will last forever from this point?" "I don't know. We had peace for 15 years after the War of the Pridelands' Fall and peace was destroyed easily. This war may be over, but maintaining peace is a war in itself." "Hmm. Good point." "But, if another war breaks out, we will win and bring about peace once again, like the next generation will when they are born." "Right." Then, Mali bowed to Ghana and left him alone. Then, a voice called to Ghana. "Greetings, Lord Ghana!" Ghana looked down the stairs that leads to his main building. He then sees Mohatu and Libya. "Oh, hello," Ghana greeted back. Mohatu and Libya walked up to Ghana and shook paws with him. "What brings you here?" Ghana asked. "Just to see how you all are doing," Libya answered. "News is going around about you two. Is it true? Is Mohatu the new king and...your mate?" "Yes, that's right," Mohatu answered, blushing. "Well, that's something that's unexpected," Ghana said, brushing the back of his head. "I know. Everyone else thought so," Libya said, kissing Mohatu tenderly. "May we come in?" Mohatu asked. "Oh, of course," Ghana answered. So, Ghana, Mohatu, and Libya walked inside the main building. Inside the hot spring room, Victoria and Sahara rested in the water, seemingly asleep. Then, Cairo swam past them happily. Some splashes he made woke up Victoria. She looked about the spring and sees Cairo swimming. "He's such a child," she thought. Then, Cairo looked at Victoria, seeing that she's awake, and smiled. "Hey, Victoria! Swim with me!" Cairo yelled. Victoria smiled motherly and swam to Cairo. After Victoria swam to him, Cairo laughed childlike. Then, he stopped and found himself staring at Victoria's cleavage in a white bra. As Cairo blushed bright red, Victoria puts her hand upon his head. "You want to swim?" Victoria asked with a sly wink. Cairo smiled an embarrassed smile. Then, they dove underwater. As Victoria and Cairo swam together, Sahara finally woke up. She let out a big yawn and stretched her arms above her. She looked to her side and saw that her sister is gone. Then, she turned to the door and sees Ghana, Mohatu, and Libya walking in. "Oh, hi!" Sahara greeted. "Hi, Sahara," Libya said. "We all thought we could have a little swim. Where's Victoria?" Ghana asked. "Well, Cairo came in here before Victoria and I fell asleep. I guess Victoria went to swim with Cairo further in the spring." "All right. Well, Mohatu, Libya, have a nice swim. "Okay," Mohatu and Libya said simultaneously. After a while, Mohatu and Libya were in the water with Sahara. "So, you two are a couple now, huh?" Sahara asked. "Yes," Libya answered. "Are you two happy together?" "Of course. Although, I feel like I'm not being fair to Surabaya," Libya said. "How so?" "Surabaya wanted me to spend the honeymoon with Libya without her. She said she can wait although I mated the girls in the exact same time," said Mohatu, blushing. "Surabaya sounds like such a trusting lioness," Sahara said. "You've been blessed, Mohatu." "Yeah," Mohatu murmured. "Well, as long as you three are happy together, I'm glad for you," Sahara said with a smile. Suddenly, Victoria and Cairo appeared in front of the trio. "We're glad as well," Victoria agreed with Cairo shaking his head 'yes'. "Thank you all," Mohatu said with pride. "Likewise. You're all good friends," Libya said. After a few moments, Libya made a frown and she groaned. Everyone looked at her with concern. Libya got out of the water and was on her knees, holding her chest with her paw. As she continued to groan, Mohatu jumped out of the water and ran beside his mate. "What's wrong?! Libya, are you okay?!" he asked urgently. Libya couldn't answer him. She was in serious pain. "It's....," Libya tried to say. "What?!" "It's...coming," she barely whispered. Then, Libya fell on her side, panting quickly. Mohatu's eyes widened as he thought, "Is it possible that...?!" He turned to the Garudians. "Everyone! I think she's...!" "I see!" Victoria interrupted. "Get her in the infirmary at once!" Sahara and Cairo quickly got out the water and picked up Libya. They, along with Mohatu and Victoria, ran out the door. As word went out about Libya's condition, all the Garudians gathered at the infirmary doors. They prayed for the one who ended the war. Inside the main room of the infirmary, Libya laid on the ground panting softly. Mohatu rested his paw upon Libya's head. "Don't worry. I'm here with you," Mohatu said. As she continued panting, Libya managed to make a smile. "Thank you, my lover," she murmured. Mohatu smiled softly back at Libya. Then, Kiaos, Surabaya, and Victoria entered the room. "I told the other three clans of your situation, and they are all here," Victoria explained. "Since Kiaos is your brother and Surabaya is Mohatu's mate, they had a right to see you when the others couldn't." Kiaos nuzzled his beloved sister. "Are you okay, Libya?" Kiaos asked. Libya looked at Kiaos and weakly smiled. "It's finally happening to me, Kiaos," Libya said. "I never thought this would happen. I expected this to happen on the fifth day of our honeymoon." "Well, I guess you and Mohatu went too far." "Are you mad at me?" "Of course not. And I'm sure Shurito isn't, either." "I'm not either, Mohatu," Surabaya added, placing her paw on Mohatu's. Libya smiled and closed her eyes. Then, she started to groan. This time, Libya started to yell out in pain. "This is it!" Victoria exclaimed. Kiaos nods and, with Surabaya's help, licked Libya's chest which got a lot bigger. Mohatu could do nothing but just watch, praying for Libya and keeping her company. Outside the main building, the Gold Lions, the Black Lions, and the Silver-Striped Tigers were waiting for news. "Is it going to happen?" asked Zambia. "That's what Victoria said," Bambari answered. "Kiaos was sure excited when Victoria told him of Libya," Rwanda said to Uganda. "I know. It's just so hard to believe that Libya is actually...," Uganda said. "It's been 15 years that Libya sworn off mating. That has become a great legend to us," Maseru said to Congo. "Well, now this day will change everything. The legend dies, Maseru," Congo said. "It's a pity that this didn't happen between Libya and me," Zhao said with a smirk. After several moments, the doors of the main building opened. Ghana walked out and came face to face with the groups of lions and tigers. The group stood silent as they prepared to hear Ghana's announcement. At first, he didn't make a precise expression on his face. Then, he made a smile and stated, "It has happened." Everyone talked amongst themselves in a surprised discussion. Back in the infirmary, the Garudians smiled proudly at what they saw. Victoria was without words; she only looked on. Surabaya's eyes glowed maternally. Kiaos felt a tear trailing down his muzzle. Mohatu was in tears as well and looked at Libya with pride. With the light in her eyes, Libya laid down with a young baby in her arms. Libya has given birth to a child! Libya smiled proudly and licked the young baby's small head. The baby turned out to be a boy. The newlyborn rolled to his back and looked at his mother with his black eyes. The proud father rested beside Libya and nuzzled her and the baby. "What will we name him, mother?" Mohatu asked. "Well, he'll be a brave one when he grows, just like his father. So, his name will be..." Night has blanketed the world once again. The Gold Lions walked back to Firerock Mountain. Leading them was Mohatu, who was carrying the weakened Libya on his back. With them was Victoria who was carrying the young cub for them. Mohatu smiled at Libya. "That's a wonderful name you gave him." "Thank you." "Thank you, my lover. You made me the happiest lion alive. I love you so." "I love you, too. I love you. And Surabaya, let's always be friends." "Yes, your majesty," Surabaya answered tenderly, nuzzling Libya's head. Then, Libya went to sleep. The moon shone greatly as an echo passed by... "Ahadi. Our cub will be called Ahadi..."
