Chapter 1:A prince and a princess Chapter 1 It was a great day.All the animals were rushing towards pride rock to see the presentation of King Simba and Queen Nala's son,Kopa,who was to be King of the pridelands and their daughter,Kiara,who was to be Queen of Simba's cousin Shambu's kingdom,the Savanahlands.Shambu had not got a queen of an heir,so he picked his cousin Simba's daughter Kiara as the heir. ******************************************** At pride rock: After the presentation,Simba and Zazu found Zira,Scar's mate,with her cubs."What are you two doing here?This is Scar's special cave!You are not allowed to enter inside!"said Zira."Zira,I want to have a word with you.I want to banish you from the pridelands!"said Simba. "What?Why?"Zira said nastily. "You should know,Zira,"said Zazu."I want to banish you because,you forced two lionesses and their mates of the pride lands for their cubs!"said Simba."I let them name the cubs anyway! The first pair named their girl Vitani and the second pair named their boy Kovu," said Zira. "I don't care about the names! Leave the pridelands!"said Simba. So Zira took Kovu ,Vitani and her real cub, Nuka and left the pride. Chapter 2: New friendships. Kopa and Kiara grew up together and had fun learning lessons on how to rule a kingdom.? I?m gonna be the king of the pridelands!"said Kopa."Well,I'm gonna be queen of the Savannah lands!(Dumb name, I know!)!"Said Kiara. *************************************************************************************************** One day, Simba called the two cubs."Kopa, Kiara, I want to tell you that when you are playing outside of Pride rock, do NOT go to the outlands,? said Simba. "But why, dad?"asked Kiara. "Because the lions there are dangerous,? he replied. *************************************************************************************************** "You know what, Kopa? I think we should go check what's there in the outlands!? said Kiara."But Kiara, don?t you think dad will get mad at us?? said Kopa. "Don't be such a baby; real kings aren't scared of anything!? said Kiara."Alright, we?ll go,? said Kopa. At pride rock: "Hey Timon, Pumbaa, come here!? said Simba."Good morning, Simba?said Timon."Good Morning.Kopa and Kiara just ran off to play. Keep a watch on tham, will you?"Asked Simba. "Simba, we?re on them like stink on a warthog,? said Timon."Hey!"Said Pumbaa. "It's the hard truth Pumbaa, live with it.? replied Timon. *************************************************************************************************** I'm not doing the babysitting part, so don't get surprised 'cause it isn't there. *************************************************************************************************** "We're here! Cool! I love this place!? said Kiara. "If dad gets mad at us, don?t blame everything on me!? Cause I didn't want to come!? said Kopa. Then they heard voices. They were coming closer and closer. Then two cubs appeared.They saw Kopa and Kiara.?What are you doing here,pridelanders?"Asked the male."N-n-n-nothing!"Replied Kiara."Kovu, be nice! They?re visitors!? said the female.? My name is Vitani! And this is my brother Kovu! What are your names?? asked Vitani. "I'm Kopa and this is my sister Kiara.We've come to explore.? said Kopa "Wanna play something?? asked Kovu."Sure! What do you want to play? ?Let?s play Tag! Said Kiara.So Kiara and Kopa played with their new friends. Chapter 3 While they were playing Tag,they didn't notice that someone was watching them.It was Zira.Suddenly,the cubs heard a roar.They turned around and saw Simba.Then Zira roared and appeared. "Kiara.Kopa,why are you playing with outlanders?"asked Simba."I thought you wouldn't mind my children,for they are really pridelanders,"said Zira."But they are now your children,so I have a good reason to hate them!"said Simba."Take your cubs out of the pridelands!"said Timon."Yeah!They are not fit to be in our pridelands!"said Pumbaa."Your Pridelands?These lands belong to Scar!"said Zira."These are my father's and my lands!Scar stole our lands from us!Get out!"said Simba.Zira took the cubs out of the pridelands while Simba took his cubs to pride rock. ******************************************** At pride rock: "Nala,I want to have a word with the cubs,so can you please leave us alone for a while?"asked Simba."Sure!"said Nala.She gave them a smile and left. "What did you think you were doing?You could have been killed!"said Simba."But dad,Kopa was the one who wanted to go there!"said Kiara."No I didn't!And I told you not to blame anything on me!"said Kopa."No I didn't!"said Kiara."Yes you did!"said Kopa.They both started hitting and scratching each other and they started fighting."ENOUGH!"shouted Simba."You are grounded from playin outside for one day!"said Simba. ******************************************** At the outlands: "Hey,I wonder where mom is!She's pretty late!And if she finds out that I let Vitani and Kovu go,she rip me apart!"said Nuka,who was Zira's other son.Then he saw Zira with the cubs.She put the cubs down."Why did you go play with them?"said Zira."But mom,they were nice,and I tought we could be friends!"said Kovu"Kovu,Vitani,this is a wonderful plan you have thought of!Now Simba will really die and we take over the pridelands!"said Zira."Your training begins tomorrow. Back at the outlands, Zira was giving the three cubs a lecture about the plan. ?Now listen, every young lioness has to go for her first hunt when they are adults. So Kiara will do the same, so, Vitani and Nuka, you will set a fire. Then Kovu, you will rescue Kiara and when Simba finds out that you saved his daughter, he?ll welcome you to stay in the pride!? she said. ?What good will that do?? asked Nuka. ?I hadn?t finished! Then one silent night, when no one is looking, Kovu will kill Simba with the help of Vitani!? ?But mom, if he?s supposed to kill Simba with Vitani?s help, Vitani will need to be at Pride rock with him. So you haven?t told us about how Vitani will get to stay at Pride rock,? said Nuka. ?I?m getting to that. Now about Vitani. When Kopa is an adult, Vitani will pretend to be someone else and when Kovu is ready to kill Simba, she will tell Simba who she really is. Now that?s the plan. Now let?s start training.? ?First let?s have fighting practice. Nuka verses Kovu,? said Zira. Kovu jumped and as he reached Nuka he tried to scratch him, but Nuka picked him up with his paw and threw him to one side of the cave. ?Ouch! That hurt!? said Kovu. ?Kovu! You?re not supposed to let him hit you!? said Zira. ?What am I supposed to do?? asked Kovu. ?If he tries to pick you up, DEFEND YOURSELF!? said Zira. ?Now start again!? Kovu pounced on Nuka and fought him. Kovu tried to defend Himself, but Zira was not all that happy. ?Well, you did try to defend yourself, Kovu, but the defending wasn?t enough. Then Vitani fought with Nuka. She also had defending problems, but she was better than Kovu. Now let?s have chasing practice. Nuka, you will pretend that you are Simba and Kovu, Vitani, you will run after him. So Nuka ran with Kovu and Vitani chasing him. Nuka was very fast, so they couldn?t catch up with him and catch him. ?Mom, can I ask you something?? asked Kovu. ?Go ahead, Kovu,? replied Zira. ?This plan will be taken place when we are adults, and we are cubs now. So why are you making us train now?? ?Because it will be easier to kill Simba,? replied Zira. ?Nuka knows a lot of fighting moves. So he will teach them to you, and you will use them on Simba.? ?Aw, mom, those are my secret moves!? said Nuka. ?Just teach them how to do it!? said Zira. So Nuka taught them some of the moves and hey practiced it. While back at the pride lands, Kopa and Kiara were training too. ?Today we are going to start making you train,? said Simba. ?For what?? asked Kiara. ?Kopa will be training for being king and you will be training for hunting,? said Simba. ?Kiara, Sombhari pay attention,? said Nala. Sombhari was Kiara?s best friend. She was also learning how to hunt. ?Hunting is important for you to learn, and I?m going to make you learn,? said Nala. ?First, I want you to pounce on that rock. Everything the light touches is our kingdom,? said Simba. ?All of this?? asked Kopa. ?Yes. A king?s time as a ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day, the sun will set on my time and will rise with you as a new king. Everything you see exists together as a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures from the crawling ants to the leaping antelope. When we die, our bodies become the grass and the antelope eat the grass. And so, we are all connected in the great Circle of life,? said Simba, remembering his father?s words. After Simba finished explaining everything, he told Kopa something else that Mufasa told him. ?Kopa, look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us. So whenever you feel alone, just remember, that those kings will always be there to guide you.? ?Like grandpa Mufasa?? asked Kopa. ?Yes,? replied Simba.
