In the movie 'Frequency' there's a scene where the main character and his mother are chatting about nonsence and one of them says 'So, do you see The Lion King?'
Interesting considering this is a fairly recent movie

Just a minor correction: In the movie "Frequency" the 36-yr. old son says to his mom, "So, did you like The Lion King?" The mom says that she did and asks why he didn't go. Since that part of the movie takes place in New York City in 1999, I took it to be referring to the Broadway production.

In the movie "Frequency" when John was talking to his Mom about what was going on in the hospital, his Mother said "You should have come to see "The Lion King" with us, it was very good."
