In a Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron comercial it says it is the 'Best Animated Movie (or something) Since The Lion King'. No offense but not many people are going to believe that because people always compare children's movies with The Lion King. For what it's worth I LOVED both movies!

In Dreamworks' newest animated film, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, there's a song called "Sound the Bugle". In it, we see Spirit look out between two boards of a train car. He sees a mirage of his herd in the snow. In front we see Spirit's mother smile at him and whinny as a blast of wind blows Spirit's mane. This part is during a certain line in the song: "Remember who you are".

In the movie, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron (which, BTW, tries to advertise its DVD by tacking one reviewer's comment 'More Moving than The Lion King' - obviously this is the high benchmark other movies vainly attempt to emulate) there is a scene which is definitely 'Inspired By TLK'. Spirit is at his lowest ebb (much like Simba when he sees his father) when he sees his mother in the sky, in a snowstorm. Which might not be a dead ringer except for the accompanying lyrics:
Then from on high, somewhere in the distance
There's a voice that calls
REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE
...
Remember who you are....

In Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron, when the men first capture Spirit and they're dragging him to the camp, they pass a rock that looks exactly like pride rock. It's creepy.
