In this one episode of Startrek Lieutenant Paris says "Hakuna Matata" on the bridge for goodluck, and low and behold they ask him what it means and he says "It means no worries." :-P

Star trek Voyager character Neelix make-up/mask was created, after the designer saw the lion king. He states that Neelix is actually a mixture of Timon und Pumbaa.
