On tonight's (April 26th 2005) Supernanny (one of those programmes where child experts come in to deal with unruly children) episode, a Simba plush was in the background while one of the children was having a tantrum. (Poor Simba!)

Once on Supernanny a dad asked his kids if they wanted to watch Lion King or Snow White. 'Lil brats chose Snow White. Also there were two of those new singing Simba plishies tied together by thier tails.
