Title: The Lion KIng 3- Nuka's Return-The Reversing Of The Ways Author:CrystalWolf The Lion King 3- Nuka's Return-The Reversing Of The Ways Foreword: This story picks up right about the end of Simba's Pride. And it has things in it you might not udnerstand unless you read my other story, Scar's Reign-The Ending Of Scar. ====================         Simba purred happily as Kiara and Kovu danced around in the flowers. Kiara, as young as she was, was now being taught hunting by Kovu, who knew how to hunt better than most of the lionesses in the pride.       Kovu glanced up from his work to look at Simba. He smiled. Then he turned his head to the horizon, and watched the sun setting.         He thought about the past, about his training against Kiara, and his mother Zira falling to her death, and then, his thoguths ventured to Nuka, who had died trying to honor his mother by bringing the downfall of Simba. For a moment his heart went out to him. Then he remembered how his old pride had ambushed Mufasa, trying to trick Simba into thinking Kou was part of it. He remembered his exile, and nearly put his head down in sadness. Always, though, his thoughts ventured back to Nuka.         He was shaken out of his thoughts by Kiara, who had pounced on him and landed with her belly on his head. She had seen he was spaced out and took the moment to ambush! Kovu shook his mane, and laughed, as a buerfly flew over and landed on Kiara's nose and made her sneeze.         Simba turned away. He walked back up to Pride Rock, and as he was about to enter the cave, Tivishi, a lioness of the pride,(and also a 2nd cousin of Vitani) came rushing out.         "Simba!! Your majesty!! Suralia is about to have her cub!! Isn't that wonderful??? And Vitani and Sarafila and Nala are in there watching over her, and they sent me out here, sir..."         Simba smiled and walked to a sunny alcove in the side of pride rock. He watched some birds fly far off, into the bright glare of the sun. And then his eyes ventured to the orange-red canyons of the outlands.         The outlands were perfectly normal, as normal as possible, except for the fact that there was about 5 lions down there!!!         Simba roared. If the group regathered, then nothing would be safe, and new cubs would be in danger....         He roared again, then heard a tiny high-pitched shriek. He ran to the mouth of the main chamber and looked in. Why, there lay Suralia, with a tiny cub between her paws.         It still had, like, no shape at all yet, but Simba knew within a couple of weeks that it would be furry and happy.       Another shriek!! And another!! Simba ran back to the cave to find 4 cubs, laying in a little heap.         He left and went back to the alcove, the outsiders forgotten.                 Tukah the lion cub gave a little squeak. A week after birth the lion cubs still weren't very active, but at least they had fur and some had their eyes open. Tukah was the only lion cub. His sibling were all girls. And another thing was strange about his family. All 4 cubs had white fur arund their face and nose and mouth, but it was golden again on their chins. Their noses were golden too. And Tukah had a large, light brown sandy color patch around one ear. Tukah blew a little bubble and went back to sleep.                 "Come on, Kilimanjaro, let go," urged a lioness. She was thin and bony, but had well kept fur that seemed very loose on ther tiny, bony body. But her ears were very large, and her tail tuft was huge, nearly half as big as her head. It was to fan herself in this outlands heat. She was one of the 3 lionesses and 2 lions that stayed in the outllands, still hating (and fearing) Simba.         Kilimanjaro was a very dark lion, with brown-black fur that was almost black, and a solid black mane. He had red and yellow eyes. He snarled.         "Don't rush me, Viterialon, or I will make your tail tuft reasonably smaller!" he growled.         The lioness gave his a sharp whack.         "OWWW! What was that for???" he said, rubbing his whiskers, which were all bent up and crooked.         "It was for calling me Viterialon, you...you...little....brother!!!!!" Kilimanjaro stared.         "It's Teria, not...that other name!!" she said, wincing. "Anyway, lets go!!" Kilimanjaro walked towards the pridelands, Teria following.   Kilimanjaro stopped at a water hole in the middle of the pridelands. He stared at his reflection.         "Hey, do you think I would look better with green eyes?" he asked Teria.         "Lets go now, no more admiring your reflection!" she said, annoyed. The two stalked off for the next hour in the direcition of Pride Rock.         Night approached, and Suralia huged all her cubs close. Tukah managed to squeeze out of her grip and waddle his way to the mouth of the cave, where he went to sleep, shivering with cold.         Kilimanjaro and Teria crept up the side of Pride Rock. 'Kidnap a cub, and bring it back,' had been Xienna's orders. Xienna was the head lioness, and was the main consultant of Hyerdra, the King outsider.         Then, to their amazement, they seen the little cub, barely a week old, sitting in front of their eyes. They grabbed it up, wrapping it up in some grass, making it very warm, and taking it off to home.         They made it home the next day, with their bundle. At once the five gathered around. They could tell by scents that this one was named Tukah.       "After our Nuka!" said one lioness happily.                 Off, far off, past a cliff and the river, lay a bundle of sticks. More like logs! Giant's sticks.         There was a small sound, as if something was walking, an a dark figure could be seen a ways off, with a scraggly mane and many bruises, and 2 broken legs.         The lion shook his mane, a tangle of grass, fur, hair, and moss. He groaned, and walked off to where the riverbank wasn't as steep. It led to the watering hole. The lion took a drink, and lay down in the soft, high grass. He looked up only when a large something-or-another trotted by, marching, its hooves stretched out very high in the air with each step.         This lion had never seen a wildabeast. He lay down in the grass until it came nearer, and then sprung. The animal was knocked over, and the lion ate well.                 Suralia was in despair. Tukah, little Tukah, was gone. Kovu said he smelled familiar scents, of the dusty canyons and canyon mice. He snarled. Then Simba rushed up, Tivishi at his side. Tivishi's mother was out there, with Tukah, and her uncle Kilimanjaro.         Teria and Kilimajaro rushed back to the outlands.   "We have brought the cub," said Kilmanjaro to Xienna.   Xienna survayed the cub with interest. "Odd coloring," she said at last. "But he's not too dark, and so he won't faint or anything in the heat."         "His name's Tukah, right after Nuka," said Kilimanjaro.     Tukah squirmed sadly around and began to wail pitifully. Xienna released her hold on the cub's neck scruff and dropped him flailing into to the yellow, scorching sand. He screamed and looked around with his tiny sparkling eyes for his mother. Yet she wasn't there.         "Pitiful thing, isn't it?" said Yaleoleo, the young adolescent male.   "He get used to us," said Xienna scathingly.                                   *     *   *           "Leave me alone!" squealed an angry voice.   "Suit yourself!" yelped a shrill voice.           Tukah scrambled to his feet. A female lioness jumped away from him. She jumped away.           Tukah stared into the red sunrise. 5 cubs were playing tumble over there, all of them a dark brown color. They had black tail tufts, and one was black with a brown tail tuft.         The only ones in this land that looked like him were the young lioness cubs that were still much more tawny brown than he was. Plus he had this wierd white area around his mouth, like he had fallen face-first into milk.           Yet none of this Tukah noticed. None of this did the other cubs notice. He was just as much an outsider as they were.           Yet sometimes Tukah did wonder what happened to his parents. He asked Viterialon one time and she looked at him sharply.           "They went off on a hunt and were killed in a stampede caused by fire." she would always answer. Yet Tukah wanted to know MORE. He was a very curious cub. One time he wanted to know whatwas on theother side of that cliff over there and so he jumped off it to find out. He landed on a hippopotamus and, lets just say that he never messed with hippos after that again. He had come out with a nice scar on the back of his front left leg and one on his back left flank.         Yalaeloe, the head cub, son of Yaleoleo, was walking and pouncing on some termites, suddenly stopped short. he looked up at Tukah, then back at his friends, the lioness cub, 4 other male cubs and another lioness cub. Then he looked at Tukah Then he looked at the others. then he looked at Tukah.           "Tukah!!! Look at him!!!He's different than us!!" he screamed.   Tukah looked at himself. He had those white paws and white milk face and the golden fur, and the brown tail tuft, but that was all.   Yet...that was a lot.         Yalaeloe leaped away and started yelling at Tukah. "Pridelander pridelander pridelander!!!!!" he said.           Tukah couldn't stand it. He pounced on Yalaeloe his teeth bared. Yalaeloe looked truly fearful as cub teeth bit every little part of him. Yalaeloe ran off, his friends following him.           From that day on, Yalaeoe and his gang teased Tukah at every chance. Tukah had learned to try and ignore it, and he often hid in a cave that was wet and cool. In the very back it went underground, and there was an underground lake there. It was huge, big enough to go swimming in. There were underwater tunnels down there too! He had spent hours in there, but taking special care to dry out in the sun before heading back home, or else everyone would get suspicious.           One day, back in the pridelanders, Sukah, one of Tukah's sisters, picked up an old scent outside the cave. It was of a male cub. And there were outsiders. the scent reaad 'Tukah'. She wondered what was going on. He smelled like her family. She ran to her mother.           Suralia sighed. She looked at her daughter.   "You are half-grown now, an adolescent, and deserve to know the truth. Go get Turalia and Viviris. They need to know too." Turalia was the darkest of the 3 females. Her golden was very dark, almost brown. (She looked a lot like Tihkanh, Nuka's friend, only she had a white muzzle.)           Viviris was almost all white. Her ears and nose and tail and msot of her legs were white, and her fur was a pale golden, a peach-like color. Her eyes were still greenish-blue and she was by far the prettiest.         Suralia took a deep breath and told them all about Tukah. Viviris looked like she was about to cry. "We have a brother?" "Yes, Viv, you do," said Suralia. With that the family of 4 walked to an outcove in the rock of PR, and went to sleep, thoughts of Tukah filling their dreams.         Tukah now had a small mane, one that fell over his eyes and draped onto his shoulders, yet not going past that. No mane hung in front of his neck yet. Yalaeoe wa no different, except his mane was lighter and thinner.         Tukah's scar had been expanded by a fight with Yalaeloe, which had happened about a month ago. Yalaeoe had crossed the line by saying that Tukah was a lioness pridelander that looked like he had just plunged facefirst into milk.       Tukah had snarled and looked wildly around for defence. When he seen none he leapt on Yalaeloe, ripping with intense anger. Yalaeloe had plunged back and the 2 had locked claws, fighting with their back legs and teeth. Each held their face back from each other. xcept when Yalaeloe tried to snap at Tukah's face and let go with his claws, had he been pushed underneath Tukah and tukah had won, sparing most details. To Be Continued.... yes, there is plenty more I am only about half done. Wait for number 2 to come out!
