"Kiara's Hunt" Ê By StrayKat Ê In the savannah in Tanzania, Africa, there was a young lioness named Kiara. She never got to learn how to hunt because of the fire Nuka and Vitani set to the Pridelands to help their mother, Zira, fufill Scar's dream. Now a week after the fight between the Outlands and the Pridelands was over, Kiara was being taught how to hunt with Vitani. They had become friends after Kiara said "We are one." Now, my story of Kiara's Hunt will begin... Ê "Great job, Kiara." Vitani was saying as Kiara pounced on a hare. Kiara smiled and she bit its neck until it stopped moving. Kiara picked up the dead hare and brought it to Vitani. "Are you ready for a tougher part? Hunting big animals?" asked Vitani happily. Kiara rolled her eyes and thought. After two minutes she said, "Uh..okay--all right..." She was nervous because a huge animal might trample her. Vitani grinned and she led Kiara to where the large animals grazed and played. "Gad..." said Kiara when she saw an elephant trumpet at her. A giraffe galloped nearby. Ê "Ready, Kiara?" asked Vitani. "Ummm...nope..." said Kiara. "Okay, I'll demonstrate then..." replied Vitani and she lept towards aÊbuck antelope. The antelope grazed solemnly as Vitani ran towards it. Vitani roared at it and the antelope took off running. Vitani chased the gigantic antelope. The antelope yelped and screamed. Vitani finally pounced on it and fought it to the ground. "Got it!" shouted Vitani. Kiara was surprised and she went to Vitani. Ê "I-Is it d-dead?" asked Kiara. "Yup," replied Vitani. "Your turn. Fight a doe antelope..." Vitani began to feast. Kiara looked around for a doe. One burst out from a bush. Kiara chased it. At full speed she jumped and fought it to the ground like Vitani. It died soon and Kiara also began to feast. "Good job, Kiara..." said Vitani and she burped. She apologized to herself. Ê Kiara finished eating and now she was an expert hunter. Simba and Nala were proud of her, and so was Kovu. Vitani and Kiara walked back home, happy that they were hunting. Ê THE END Ê 7/13/05
