  ovu is Zira's son and was
handpicked by Scar to follow in his footsteps. Zira resents Simba
for defeating Scar and for banishing her to the barren Outlands.
From very early on, Zira has been training Kovu to defeat Simba and
take over the kingdom. But after meeting Simba's daughter, Kiara,
Kovu is very confused. Should he honor his loyalty to Scar and Zira
and attack Simba, or go with his heart and choose Kiara? As the
story unfolds, everything is made clear.
