This place has been my Lion King Fan(art) home for 11,5 years now, I just found out about this updated site after an absence of almost 2 years. TLK is wat keeps me going, and inspires me still nowadays. Keep up this site, for our generation and the generation that is coming amongst with The Lion Guard and the 2019 CGI remake.
I've been a regular visitor of this site since 2008. In fact, most of what I know about TLK came from this site. TLK is one of my most favorite Disney cartoons. I can't wait until the live-action movie comes out!

I als forgot to mention, I'd love to see a lion king movie of Mufasa and Scar growing up. I want to know exactly what happened in their youth and to know if Scar was probably treated different than Mufasa and that being the reason as to why he didn't really like his older brother.

In the Lion King Family Tree something is REALLY wrong: or scar isn't the real father of Kovu, or Kovu should be a lot older than Kiara (and not the same age) in the movie, if he's part of the fourth generation. The same applies to Vitani. Also, how can Vitani and Kovu be brothers if they are, apparentely, the same age?

When I was a child I loved watching the Lion King movie because they were so good. Well now my children like the songs and movies and that makes me happy. My son loves the song "Can You Fell The Love Tonight", thats one of my favorites also. But when it comes to "The Lion King" songs and movies, I will watch and listen to them before any other movie and song that is childrens. I am happy I was able to you guys why I loved the movies and songs it's a great feeling for being able to tell others.

i used to love the lion king but now....i just hate it...it's a bad movie if you like hyenas. hyenas are NOT the brainless brutes that people diliberately portray them as. they are very intelligent creatures who use brain-power in hunting, unlike lions who use just brute stregnth. I just happened to read Joseph R. Chambers little essay in which he thoroughly condemns "The Lion King". Talk about reading too much into something!
The elements of the story that he mentions do exist in the movie, of course, but his interpretations and conclusions are extreme and go far beyond what the makers of "Lion King" intended. Just about all of the examples he brings up and claims to be suspicious and spurious are universal themes that can be found in all sorts of literature throughout history - from Homer to Shakespeare to Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, and even in the Biblical narrative itself.
If someone wants to see such things as some kind of covert and underhanded propaganda for Satanism and astrology, it certainly says more about the person who is leveling the criticism than about the particular work of fiction which is being criticised.
Chambers seems to be a classic example of a despotic, vain and bigoted fire-and-brimstone preacher who won't rest easy until he controls each and every aspect of the lives of his congregation members, including their taste in popular culture. Disgusting!
