Simba: many meanings but those relevant to the film are Lion and brave person
Pumbaa: A verb meaning to be foolish, lazy, dull-witted or ignorant
Rafiki Comrade/friend
The others as far as we can work out mean nothing in swahilli but as each african tribe has its own language you may find meanings through translation that way.

I love the Lion King! I loved it ever since I was four years old. Then I didn't like the first one much - I thought it was boring, for some reason. I liked (and still do like) the sequel better. This site has to be one of the best. A lot of work has gone into this and I'm amazed. TLK is the best movie out there and has won tons of awards. Only problem Disney has is creating their own ideas thou *shrug* Everything i own is pretty much TLK lolz. I didnt like Simbas pride as much though.. I think Kovu and Vitani were the best.
