LION KING ROCKS!!! i just wanna say that the lion king is like the greatest disney movie ever made and i love it...haha, even thought i'm a teenager i can still like disney movies, can't i? hahaha anyways, rafiki rocks, he is the best character, and so does timon and pumbaa cuz they are all hilarious. and i'm gonna get the lion king dvd cuz its out now, and i'm gonna watch it sooo many times, (not that i already haven't watched the movie too many times), and i'm gonna memorize every line by getting the script off of this website. i already know all the lyrics to the songs...and i have the piano music book of lion king, and i can play the music on the piano and sing along. and i have the cd, and some stuffed animals of the characters, and a whole bunch of other things. i know what your thinking...i'm obsessed, but i'm really not i just starting getting back into this little kid stuff that i used to love. it's really much better then the dumb teen movies they are comming out with nowadays. ok i think i'm done now... It's me again...I was going to update my opinion by saying that I thought that the cover for the special edition was much better than any other of the covers that Disney has put out for the Lion King. It seemed very fitting, whereas the other two covers looked like they might have been drawn at the last minute. I watched the scene again and realized that the reason that they wanted to cut it out was because that was Simba's initial opening number, and it was not very strong, they probably wanted his opening song to be I just can't wait to be king because of the rush that it gave the audience...Simba having diffeent voices in both of the songs might have persueded them to go with cutting it out as well. In any case, Disney made a wise decision by cutting it out of the original, simply for flowing purposes.

Hi guys...I was just commenting on the new scene in the special edition, "Morning Report"...I guess it wasn't so bad..except Zazu seemed very animated, which is very out of character for him..and did anyone notice that Simba's proportions were wrong? While he was moving, he looked very thin, and his eyebrows were drawn drastically different. Also, I don't believe that that was Jonathan Taylor Thomas's voice, or anyone remotely close. Some of the animation was what I would identify as "sloppy"...when Zazu was saluting Mufasa in the song, Mufasa's rear legs had no definition at all...the animation appeared to be done by a sequel animator (if you all have noticed the difference between a direct to video sequel, and an actualy theatrical release, then you will know what I am talking about.) It's like the character is moving too fast and the artist cannot keep the movements in line with what Simba is doing. Simba rubbing his head after hitting the rock seemed out of place for the film...maybe it would have been OK for "Simba's Pride"..but to be less negative I like Simba's singing in Morning Report nonetheless...I've been singing it all day...and the animation for the dust that Simba brings up while being dragged around is drawn very well. It was noted on this site that the alligators seemed to have been redrawn...well they WERE..for reasons unbeknowst to me. I saw nothing wrong with the original eyes...but maybe someone had a hissy fit...Ok I'm done analyzing now, bye kids!

Nascar Winston Cup Banquet 400 Finished!

Ahh, I'm a bit dissapointed. Ryan Newman won the Banquet 400, which ended 10 minutes ago. OK, so Bill Elliot (if you STILL havent heard about this, thats the adult Simba paint scheme) got second, and Jeremy Mayfield (Timon and Pumbaa paint scheme) got 3rd , but i was really rooting for Elliot. Bill was unlucky because he actually in reality was back as far as 16th in that last pit stop, not 9th as i said before. Not only that, but Newman discovered from his crew with about 40 laps to go that at most he could fill up gas with 8 laps left. However thay managed to save gas, and still beat Elliot by half a second. Oh well. Poor Simba. Nver really got a incredabily close look at the cars, especially Mayfields. I was waiting for the point where the commentators would talk about TLK paint schemes. Finally that came, about 60 laps into the race. here it is as far as i can remember:
C1-And Bill Elliot has a new paint scheme based on the Disney movie "The Lion King", which comes out on DVD this tuesday. The car featyres a few of the characters... (I'm really sketchy on this part...can't remember much) It's part of a partnership of Dodge and the Dodge Caravan. (not sure about the order of this line)
(Camera has been focusing on Elliot (#9) for a while, especially on Leadership points)
C1-And the character on the car is...Can you guess?
C2-mmmm.....(obviuosly thinking)
C1- No cheating...
(Camera gets a great shot of Elliot coming up the wall on a corner; you can see adult simba on the front pretty clearly.)
C2-(semi-triumphant) Ahh! Simba...

C1-And Mayfields car features a few other characters from The Lion King (its timon and pumbaa, but they dont show the car and they dont mention their names)

For those of u who don't know what the winston cup is, its a nascar championship in Kansas city. Cars 9 and 19 (remember, TLK paint schemes?), driven by Bill Elliot and Jeremy Mayfield respectively, ar in 2nd and 3rd. Bill Elliot (Adult simba paint scheme) was in 1st for at least 20 - 30 laps, but he fell back to as far as 23rd with two pt stops and two cautions. i'll keep ya updated later! BTW, the race is in 105 laps of 267...

You may ahve read my TLK sighting for nascar i posted abotu 1/2 hour ago. However, I don't think its up yet. (if it isn't, heres a reminder to all poeple who dont know about it. Anyway, I'm in grade 9. I live in canada. Im also a guy. Im also a huge TLK fan. Not obsessed, but I think about all the time.
First your thinking, OMG a guy in high school who likes TLK. Yes I know what you mean. Which is why I the internet to share my thoughts and feelings on subjects that if I talked about to people I knew I get laughed at so hard, I'd dissapear out of pure will.
Finally I can say what I want: TLK is a AMAZING movie. Not just by others (It one 3 acadamy awards an got nominated for something like 6 others for gosh sakes), but by myself as well. I watched the video that I had when was younger a week ago with my 4 year old sister. Lately ive been thinking about it all the time. TLK is a story that (this is agreed in many sites on the Member directory) affects in the most profound ways. It soemtimes, if your a hardcore obsessed fan, gives life new meaning. Its one of those stories that you want to be a part of. At the end of it you dont want it to end. Another example of this is the Redwall Series by Brian Jacques (Im a BIG redwall fan). You want to be an actuall part of the story.
You want to be Simba, have an adventure as exciting as TLK, actually become a lion and have no worries (sound familiar?) about human things: technology, politics, anything sophisticated. You want to experience the stampede sequence, you watch CYFtLT and actually want to love someone. You want to experience to anything and everything of fantasy.
You probably think I'm a lunatic. Now that I think about I probably am.

I adore the Lion King. It was the first movie I ever saw in the theatre. I watch it weekly. I take it on trips with me to watch in hotels, I have seen the Broadway twice on Boradway and once in Toronto. Lady and the Tramp is my second favorite Disney movie, but I'd have to say that The Lion King rocks hard. I can't wait to get the Lion King DVD! LION KING ROCKS!!!:)

I love the lion king I have the movie and watch it all the time and I love the songs except I would like to hear them sing instead of hearing yourself sing I mean I love to here the real people sing!!!

The Lion King came out when I was little so I did not get all the jokes till now and I cracked up so hard when I found this video in my closet and watched it!! I am 11 yeears old and The Lion Kong rules!! ( I also Like " A Goofy Movie")

Hey guys, the lion king is my favorite movie. When it came out I was all up on Zazu. I used to be able to do his voice to a tee, but you know how that goes. Its great to find other people who like this movie as much as I do!!! TLK forever!!

Well everyone The Specail Edition is nearly open us by tomoorow the 1st October we can start the countdown on it Im getting really excited can't rember when I preorderd mine but seeing it on The Large Format Screen in Jun/July was great LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!!!!!!
I like this website... it's cool!!! I was looking for information on name Nala and came across this... I told myself.. that's what I thought because I heard Nala before. I do have that movie and I love the part where Rafiki said "He lives in you." to Simba then he would look up at his father Mufasa in the cloud.
