I really like the Lion King. I was touched that part where little simba was blamed for his father's death. It's cool and i love Simba. Timon was so funny too. :-)

Personaly, I think that it's not neccesary for Disney to make a special edition TLK. From what I've seen from other special edition movies, the origionals are ALWAYS better. I might see, TLK SE just out of curiosity, but I can assure you that I will not be bying it.

Too bad this is online, cuz if it was live, I'd shove my fist right down yo' face. Now, secondly. Some dude just recently posted some irrelevent peice of crap sayin' that Scar wuz gay. What's that about? He ain't gay! Where'd ya' hear that from? Now, look. Just cuz I'm a TLK fan, don't mean I'm a fan of the 'good guys'. Honestly, I luv da' bad dudes. No one laughs like I do when that dumb-ass Mufasa falls into that stampede. Hahaha! That was the best part of the movie! So, to that dude who sayin' Scar is gay, get ready for me to whoop yo' ass! Now fo' the official Disney evidence: 1. One popular argument that you dudes all got, is that when Scar says to lil' Simba, "You have no idea." after lil' Simba calls him weird. Some people, 'specially the one's wit' their heads in the gutter, interpreted that as an inside-joke that indicated homosexuality. Well, they right in the sense that it was an inside joke... but it ain't got nothin' to do with Scar bein' gay. In fact, Scar's voice was played by Jeremy Irons, and in another movie, Jeremy Irons played another character, who said the exact same line. Go to the TLK FAQ page on dis site to read more about it.2. Also, if that ain't enough for ya', I got more. Although it wasn't actually put into the film, there was originally going to be a scene where Scar start hittin' on Sarabi. The purpose of the scene was to expess to the audience that Scar had not only killed Mufasa to be king, but also because he was in love with Sarabi, and he wuz jelous of that too. However, the scene wasn't put in da movie cuz the producers and other people thought it would make the movie too mature, when it was originally inteded fo' lil' kids. This info is also on the FAQ page. 3. Yep, dat's right, yo! I got more evidence! It ain't really official evidence, but it makes fo' a good arguement. Here goes: There's a stereotype about gay dudes that I heard once. They say that gay dudes have that low, smooth, cool-soundin' voice that Scar has. Well, there's two reasons why Scar's got dat voice, an' neither of 'em is cuz he's gay. The first one is, Jeremy Irons plays the voice of Scar. It's his damn fault. Maybe Jeremy Irons is gay, but I don't really give a crap. Just cus Jeremy was talkin' that way when Scar's lines were recorded, doesn't mean he did it on purpose to make him sound gay. If someone was tryin' to make Scar sound gay, it was probably the same guy who wrote 'SEX' in the clouds. And secondly, if there was a reason for Scar's voice to sound that way, it was to make him sound evil. I mean, the target audience is a bunch of toddlers. If they hear some low, smooth voice like that, they ain't gonna think he's gay. They gonna' think he's evil. What'd they think of him if he had a Simba voice? THEN they'd think he's gay. And speakin of Simba... *evil grin* I also have official Disney proof that there ARE gay TLK characters. Who are they, you ask? They are none other than, Timon and Pumbaa. Yep, that's right kids! Everyone's favorite drag-dressing hula-dancing characters are gay! And here's mah official Disney proof:I found a copy of TLK in Japanese on eBay. It had the options of either playing it in english or Japanese. I switched it to Japanese, and watched it. I understood it pretty well, seeing as I knew some Japanese, AND that I had seen the movie so many times, I knew the lines by heart. Anyway, the movie got to the part when they start singin' Hakuna Matata. So, I'm listenin' to the song, and I notice somethin' funky about the words. The Japanese lyrics were translated wrong. During the chorus of the song, in the Japanese version, the lyrics say, 'Hakuna Matata... Ai no message'. (This is pronounced, aye noh meh-sahj-ee.) While the english version of the song goes, 'Hakuna Matata... ain't no passin' craze', the japanese version doesn't translate to that. In fact, 'ai no message' literally translates to 'the message of love.' So there ya' all have it. My official Disney proof that Scar is not gay, and Timon and Pumbaa are! If you don't agree, do some research, and compile a list of facts that go against my proof, and send 'em to me. I look forward to arguing with you. *evil laughter*This is Shaina Zie, signin' off! I was just wondering if anyone has seen The Lion King on broadway recently. I saw it for the 2nd time about a week ago and it was horrible. I saw it the first time in 98 and it was amazing .. but this time....not so good....dancing was off...the young simba had no voice..it was very un Disney-like and the show had empty seats!! It seems like they are slacking in the production of this show. They'd better be careful or it will close! Anyone else have the same experience?

Well, now that I've layed a myth to rest, and done my part to keep this site peacefull, I mfigure I might as well let you know a little about me. Favorite Disney movie: TLK(DUH!) Favorite character: Simba Why?:I'm reaaly not sure. I just like the heros. Each character brings something to the movie. Timon and Pumbaa bring the humor. In TLK2, Nala is the voice of wisdom. Simba brings the heart. Rafiki brings both wisdom and humor. Even Scar brings something to the movie. After all, without Scar, TLK would not have had much of a story.

TLK fans and TLK haters, Please read this post. Yes, I decided to give my e-mail address, just in case anyone has comments for meFans:I just want to say a little more. I am 15 and I am still a BIG fan of the TLK movies.(I was only eight when TLK 1 came out.) However, I don't think that Disney should come out with another TLK movie. Do you remember Power rangers, or more recently, Pokemon? Those were AWSOME ideas, until the writers took things a little too far. Despite what many have said, you CAN have to much of a good thing. In my opinion, Disney should not make another TLK movie, but instead, let TLK live on in the imaginations and hearts of so many devoted fans, young and old alike. I want to thank Brian for putting up this site. This is THE BEST TLK site I have seen, and I've seen allot of 'em. I also have a message for the haters.Haters: I know that TLK is not your favorite movie. It wasn't always my favorite either. However, I think that it is extremely childish and rude to try and spoil it for all the TLK fans. Perhaps, you might start your own Alladin site.(I've noticed that there aren't many out there) Do something positive, and try to get along with us TLK fans. Just becasuse we don't like the same movies,(Although I too think that Alladin is a very good movie. It's just not my favorite) is no reason for us to fight. Okay, I'll give TLK the fact that its got great art and okay, but that's it! Its got a shallow story and characters. Its nowhere near the best Disney film, though its not too bad. P.S. Aladdin is not stupid. Anyone who complains that it has a flying rug or talking genies has absolutely no imagination whatsoever and is an idiot.
I couldn't think of anywhere else on the site to post this. I am here to put at least one myth to rest. This is the myth that Nala's eyes were green in the first TLK movie, but blue in the second. I assure you that this is not true. I've watched both movies back-to-back many times, so believe me when I say that the only reason Nala's eyes APPEAR to change colors, is that different dyes were used to animate the second movie. Nala's eyes are blue in BOTH movies, but because the dyes in the second movie were darker, her eyes DID appear to change. Thank you.

I love Scar, he is a slick looking lion (and I do NOT mean that pervertedly...) I love his design. And I love his personality, that suave slyness that makes him so evil. But he is not evil... just misunderstood. I belive that the only reason he is the way he is is because of the years of being shunned by his parents (Ahadi and Uru), who always favored Mufasa. It was his PARENT'S fault that Scar killed Mufasa, it was jealousy, and if they had treated Scar with the same love and attention as Mufasa, he would have turned out different.What do you think?
